    chicken egg foo young

All I'm going to say is I trusted the reviews and I was sadly disappointed. I did not feel threatened or that my life was in jeopardy nor did I see shady characters. However the food was lackluster. The eggrolls are bland. I don't even know how to describe the egg foo young. I'm not certain what the stringy stuff was I thought it was hair at first. $45 later, I will not be back. I won't drive 5 mins from my home let alone from surrounding area.

WORMS!!! Clearly the vegetables are not washed before cooking because I had two green worms and a cocoon on my broccoli. I am all for protien but not that kind!

    General Tso's chicken combo dinner

Great Chinese take out! I got the combination dinner of General Tso's chicken with vegetable fried rice and an egg roll with egg drop soup on the side. The portions are large, so big I have leftovers! They are open even during Covid. I placed my order through Postmates. They prepared and delivered my order in under an hour!! Highly recommend if you are looking to get some Chinese takeout

Fortune Cookie V is a tasty and clean Chinese Take-Out restaurant. I used to eat at the restaurant which used to be this spot before it closed. Then it became Fortune Cookie V. I was a little skeptical eating here but thanks to my fellow Yelpers, I stumbled across a new Chinese takeout place. First off, the sanitation score is a 97.5 which means they are very clean with little sanitation issues. The prices are all under $10 unless you are ordering a large order of Chicken wings. My family and I ordered about $50 dollars worth of food in which all was very flavorful, plentiful, and worth the money. I will definitely eat this take out restaurant more frequently as they are pleasant and food is very tasty. Thanks Fortune Cookie V

It was pushing 97 degrees outside, and after a long afternoon of computer work and errands, I finally stopped in for the crispy scallion chicken and pan-fried dumplings. Huge portions. Fair prices. Friendly people. Consistently solid food every single time. The best part today honestly might have been the air conditioning. They've got a cool, comfortable space to wait while your order is prepared, which felt amazing after baking outside all day. I forgot to take food photos because I was hungry and ready to get home, but trust me, they pack these takeout containers like a game of Jenga. Nothing spills. Nothing shifts. Everything is packed tight and thoughtfully. Only tiny downside: the dumpling sauce goes into the same container as the hot dumplings, so by the time I got home, it had softened the bottom a bit. Still, the dumpling wrappers are thick and crispy enough to survive the trip. Into the air fryer later they go. One warning: the parking lot can be chaotic since it sits right off busy Providence Road. Just be patient. Cars are constantly pulling in, backing out, blocking entrances, and today people were absolutely treating red lights like suggestions. Saw it multiple times, including a bus cutting across traffic when I had the right-of-way. Charlotte drivers... please relax a little. That said, the food made the trip worth it. It unfortunately was quite bland, big chunks, & not crispy. Fried rice/ super bland, no additions except peas. I was unable to finish the rice due to blandness even with soy sauce. Great ambiance and staff- foods just not for me.

It is busy enough that plenty of other people had also called in for takeout. The price was higher than I thought it would be by a significant margin; I thought something was off but then rechecking their menu I saw it was indeed $20 for a vegetable entree. On the upside, they did offer brown rice at no extra charge. Still, I'll get three meals out of it and as someone who eats a lot of takeout, this was not a great value. In terms of quality, I was thrilled to find that they offered a stir-fried okra dish. This is a ubiquitous Indian dish, and of course okra is common throughout the tropics globally, but I'd never seen this offered at a Chinese restaurant before. And the rapid cooking technique typical of the cuisine produced a delightfully crisp vegetable, which went great with a black bean sauce and some very hot dried chilis. On the other hand, their interpretation of ma po tofu had some fermented broad beans but minimal vegetables (sometimes you get mushrooms or peas or at least some leeks or something) and no numbing sensation. They had a bean curd roll dish that I enjoyed, and some quality dumplings. Overall, not huge portions and a mix of okay to great quality.

The fried rice and stir-fried okra together are amazing. Food is always good!…read more The ambiance is outdated but the service is exceptional.

It was our first visit and we wanted to try the curry. We ordered the Thai Red Curry and the Thai Green Curry. Both were perfection! The red curry had just the right amount of spice to give it flavor, but not be too spicy hot. The green was mild, but flavorful. The dumplings were so good. These were both very good and we added shrimp and chicken. I believe they would be just a satisfying with only the vegetables. This is my go to place for Asian noodle dishes from now on...can't wait to sample more of the menu on my next visit.

They genuinely did not taste like chicken at all, and I couldn't even finish them. I strongly recommend staying away from that item. I also tried to order a bubble tea without ice and was told I'd be charged an extra $2 because they would need to "add more juice." I didn't ask for extra juice, just no ice!!! And charging extra for that feels unreasonable and borderline price gouging. Ridiculous!!!! Between the poor food quality and the frustrating service, the overall experience wasn't great, and I won't be returning.
