    Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich
    Kyle E.

Tried this place for burger week. Delicious and very friendly. With only two seats you'll have to get this to go. I ordered a side a corn bread that was outstanding. Will definitely be back to try this place out soon. Here's my burger review. Very good however, this isn't a burger. Highly recommend this place though chicken sandwich was delicious. Chicken could've used more seasonings, but it was perfectly cooked. Fried Chicken Burger Filet with pepper jack cheese, pickles and hot honey butter on a toasted bun.

The collard greens were the best I have ever had! Take out and drive thru only. Quick service. Fails on ambiance or at least it's like eating at a food truck. Good chicken and mash potatoes.

Looked up some soul food in the area because I was craving some good, hearty Mac and cheese. I found Honey Js on temp and made my way there. This place is located in a small plaza, with very limited seating along 2 walls, so I wouldn't recommend dining in unless it's not very busy and you're solo like I was. I checked the menu out and opted for the catfish and shrimp. It took maybe 7 minutes for my food to be ready. It was piping hot and a huge portion of fish. The sides were amazing. The greens were savory and juicy and the Mac and cheese was just what I needed. The fish was good but fried a little too hard for my liking and the tartar sauce wasn't homemade, but generic in a squeeze packet. I'm glad I sat in to eat because halfway through my fish, I realized they had forgotten my shrimp. I asked for it and it was made for me quickly with no problems. They have a special sauce that I think is for wings that I tasted. DELICIOUS, but didn't complement the fish. I'd definitely recommend this place

Got a take out order when saw them on the list for Lex Black Restaurant Week. Part of it was watermelon lemonade, and that was really good and distinguishes them. The rest was pretty good, but doesn't stand out from other places. 1st time here. Might be back but won't go out of my way either.

OMG!!!! My son knows how much I love soul food and he suggested this place. I was a little hesitant and trying this place, but I went and was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the whitening plate and you get 2 sides with the order. I ordered macaroni & cheese and mixed greens. The order came with cornbread. I so throughly enjoyed the meal. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that my mac&cheese was lukewarm and the fish was so small. The seasoning was great. I will be back soon and try other entrees and sides. I was told the restaurant has been around for 2 months and I hope they continue with the quality of food. I think this will be my go to soul food. I definitely recommend!!!!!

I called in to make sure they were still open and to my surprise they were open until after midnight! I walked in and ordered catfish, collards and Mac and cheese and it came with the cornbread. It took less than 10 minutes for the food to get done. Everything was absolutely delicious!!! The cornbread tasted just like the south. As a southerner, I'm particular about cornbread. I had a 25 minute drive back to my hotel after getting the food and everything was still hot, fresh and delicious! I can see why there aren't many pictures. After I started eating, I had to stop myself long enough to take a picture. I'll definitely be back to give this place a try. I wish they had meatloaf as well. I'm praying they'll be able to get a sit down location soon.

We usually eat at a different Ramsey's location, but this was closer to where we were. The atmosphere, service, and food were just as good as the other locations we've visited so we were not disappointed! We had a short wait for a table when we arrived, and I saw a table of women enjoying the espresso martini that I ended up ordering and enjoying. After starting with the Loaded House Salad with blue cheese dressing, the chicken livers were calling my name, along with mashed potatoes & gravy, with green beans. Hubby also had the Loaded House Salad, but with ranch dressing, fried chicken breasts, macaroni & cheese, green beans, and a corn stick. They were out of the sugar free peach pie so we skipped dessert, but we both brought home leftovers to enjoy for lunch on Saturday. Ironically our server Hannah is usually at the location we visit most frequently, so we will look for her the next time we're in that neighborhood.

I finally ordered it tonight and I have to say that it is my new favorite sandwich anywhere. I can't wait to get it again! I can't believe that I have never tried this and I didn't know what I was missing! The Hot Mari is the most delicious thinly sliced beef tenderloin that has been marinated in a salty and slightly sweet marinade. I highly recommend it!

Except for one couple who were finishing their meal, we were the only ones there. Regardless we had fantastic service and tasty food with the gorgeous downtown views available from the huge windows. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich, which was HUGE, juicy and crispy. The fries were delicious, a very generous portion and very well seasoned. Since we were celebrating we ordered 2 desserts: the olive oil cake and the 10th birthday celebration cake. The celebration cake was a bit dry, but the olive oil cake was fantastic with a lovely combo of strawberries and pistachio cream. A really amazing cake I wish I could have more. Bye Lockbox! Thanks for the memories.

The vibes and the ambiance is cool and modern, with art adorning the walls (it is inside the 21C art hotel after all). Tables are well spaced out and benches are comfortable. Open and full of light, this is a great space. Service was attentive and helpful. I started out with the sausage balls, made with creole hot honey mustard, dill, and chili. The texture was really hard and while the sauce was tasty, the sausage ball itself seemed to lack flavor. Next time I will probably try to pimento cheese, which the server said was supposed to be very good (he couldn't speak personally because he's not a pimento fan). For my entree I had the pork belly. And I think I am the problem here, not the dish. It's fatty and rich, as pork belly is supposed to be, but it felt so very greasy to me. I ate very little of this, and this is where my fifth star falls off. I should have gone with the burger or berry beef culotte. I also had a side of fries, which as others have noted, are crisp and well seasoned. They were delicious. They have a nice little cocktail list. I had the hattori hanzo, mad with haku vodka, smoked paprika, pineapple shrub, and pineapple juice. I love pineapple, so I loved this drink that was heavy on the fruity flavor. I also had the temper tantrum, made with gin, grapefruit, lime juice, and thyme. A little sweet, a little bitter, which was perfect for this gin lover. It might have been my favorite. And the Scarlet Manhattan, made with old forester rye, scarlet apertivo, angostura, and orange bitters, it was the perfect smoky end to the night. Looking forward to coming back and adding that fifth star.
