FIRST TIME here and already a bad experience is crazy! First we haven't even sat down and the HOST tells us make sure my baby's iPad isn't loud. Like what? I've never had a host at ANY RESTAURANT tell us that. We're not stupid we obviously wouldn't have high volume at a restaurant but to assume my child and his iPad are going to be loud is beyond me. SECOND THE WAITER GRISELDA A , takes our order first thing we order is drinks, husband orders coffee I order a guava lemonade and we order food after. FOOD COMES BEFORE THE DRINKS, husband asks waiter are our drinks coming she says "oh yeah" comes back ONLY with the guava lemonade and proceeds to say she only had one drink in our order. I said "no he ordered two drinks a COFFEE AND A GUAVA LEMONADE. Husband tells her "forget it didn't want it anymore he was more than half way done with food" she says okay and walks away, didn't even ask if we needed anything else. Mind you we never even got napkins. Funny thing is she got every other person in that restaurant their drinks before their food. This lady never even apologized for her horrible service! We had a group of 6, and we were welcomed and seated right away. The restaurant was very clean, and had cute holiday decorations. Through out the dining experience I noticed that all of the workers help each other, so we never had empty plates cups sitting on the table, and they all helped with Togo packaging. I loved the service, that alone would keep me coming back. The monkey bread was very light and fluffy, and was a very large portion. I only wish there was more of the gooey filling. The country Benedict was delicious. The poached eggs were cooked just the way they should be, the gravy had a lot of flavor, and the sausage also had great flavor, I would have preferred the biscuit to be a little less baked. 2 of our 3 orders were messed up. My daughter has mild autism and she is an extremely picky eater. She asked for her pancakes with only chocolate chips and not white chocolate chips and the waitress acknowledged it but, of course they came with both and we had to send it back. I had the crepes with fresh blackberries but my order arrived without the berries. Instead of just getting a side bowl of them the waitress grabbed my plate and wanted to take the whole thing away. I grabbed it back and said just bring me the berries. She looked very confused. I never got offered a refill on my 1 cup of coffee. When we finally got the food right, I would say the food tasted fine but I think it was on the expensive side especially considering the service we got. They offer mimosas so I decided to check this Plainfield location. We were seated immediately. We had enough time to look over the menu and our server came. She was very friendly and pleasant. I ordered a corn beef hash skillet with pancakes and my son had the meat lovers skillet. Very well organized, this was first visit and Cassandra was wonderful. She explained and described the dishes served and we chose based on her recommendations. I'm a big lover of honey jam, I was a frequent customer to the Bolingbrook location when we lived there. I was so excited to see a honey jam open near me, but was disappointed in the difference of service between the two. I know we're in a time when we have to have a bit more grace, but the difference btw the two locations is night in day. We rarely saw our server, not even at other tables! She just wasn't around on the floor. So that's why I'm giving 3 stars. The food is is good though. So if you are in search for breakfast food it is a 3/4 star option. I went in for breakfast at Honey Jam and had an ok experience. The food was delicious as usual and the orange juice tasted freshly squeezed as advertised. The service was mediocre at best. We were barely checked on and the check was delivered but not offered boxes for left overs we had to wait 10 mins to flag our waitress down to get a box. We think she was avoiding our table bc she was scamming us. Getting the bill fixed took forever. As for the food my child's chicken meal was cold. I used to love honey jam but the food quality has changed quite a bit. I went last weekend after probably about six months and was not happy with my food. I had ordered the avocado toast and paid extra to have the add ons (salmon capers cucumbers and red onions) - when my order came out it was missing capers cucumbers red onions and ricotta cheese which is part of the basic avocado toast accord to the menu. The tomato slices were massive to the point that's all you tasted and the avocado did not taste fresh. After pointing out the missing items they were brought out in a separate bowl after waiting about 10 minutes. We had ordered biscuits for the table and I used to LOVE their biscuits but they were small and dry this time. Service wasn't the best either - we asked for a table that could accommodate a high chair or booster for my friends baby and they put us at a very tiny crammed table where the food barely fit. When checking out the lady at the register was struggling to divide the check three ways and it took much longer than it should have. If you've been to the honey jam in Bolingbrook, you maybe disappointed with the one in Plainfield. Our waitress was super sweet and patient, but the food itself was mediocre. My family ate here for breakfast on 11/26/23. The service and ambiance was good as usual. My kids and I had your basic pancake, eggs and meat dish. We enjoyed it. But my wife ordered the Chicken Harvest Croissant Sandwich. It was not good. The chicken salad tasted bad. Was probably spoiled or getting there. The croissant did not even come close to being a true croissant. It looked like one. It basically tasted like a yeast dinner roll disguised as a croissant. She did not finish her sandwich. She was very disappointed. She said she had better chicken salad sandwiches from a gas station. Their menu states that they use "Fresh and High Quality Ingredients". When it came to my wife's dish.
