I've been to Honeygrow several times in Philadelphia and am so excited this is near me in Brooklyn now! There are computer kiosks to order so you can take your time deciding on different ingredients. There are both salads and stir fry options which is perfect if your partner doesn't want a salad. There are many salad chains and I'm not sure what exactly the secret is that makes it so much better except maybe having fresher, more interesting, and higher quality ingredients. read more

HoneyGrow is my favorite place for stir fried noodles and veggies in the downtown area. I always get the Sesame Garlic option with egg white noodles and shrimp. Everything is cooked to perfection. The restaurant is clean and they move swiftly. I love that the kitchen is open and I can see them preparing my meal. I probably have this once a week for lunch. read more

My first visit to Honeygrow and I was so happy. Ordering from their Kiosk was fun and simple. I wiek in Park Slope and have tried many salads, but Honeygrow is another platform. I built my own salad with Arugula, chicken, hard boiled egg, avocado, quinoa, grapes(don't know where they got these sweet little red grapes cut in 1/2) apple, pecans, pomegranate, lemon vinagrette dressing. So fresh, so deliciuos, very big, enough for 2. This pkace is a hit. Too bad I couldn't lug home dessert. The yogurt looked amazing! read more

I always get the 'make it grain' salad, which is awesome. Today I decided to get red coconut curry stir fry and I added shrimp. The stir fry is okay, not enough sauce . It needs a little kick to it to make it awesome. The shrimp on the other hand, was frozen and had a weird taste to it. It was very mushy. I would recommend this place for the salads, put don't add shrimp, cause they're not fresh! read more

This place has the perfect mesh of healthy and feel good food. I was craving noodles but didn't want too many calories, etc, and stumbled across honeygrow. You order on a touchscreen which makes everything super efficient, and then you get your food relatively fast. Perfectly portioned and super yummy, I made my own stir fry and left content but not grossly full. Will be back for sure! read more

I love honeygrow! Both the salads and stir frys are excellent. I always do a create your own, and the togarishi Turkey is yummy, plus they have sooo many choices for fresh vegetables. I like it hot, so I always get one of the spicier sauces. The only negative is that sometimes they don't cook the stir fry long enough, and the vegetables can be slightly raw. I avoid this by just walking to the counter and asking them to cook it a little extra, which they always say yes to. It was very sad the first time I came home with it undercooked and found my raw green beans mixed in. They also recently started putting out bags so that YOU bag your meal for take out rather than them. I know it's a dumb thing to criticize, but come on! It's not that hard to put my meal in the bag for me. Either way, great fresh food and definitely recommend. read more

I really enjoy the make your own salad concept. However, when I pay extra for additional toppings, I am usually missing half of them. It shouldn't be the customer's job to micromanage the staff to ensure everything is added to a salad, it's a very simple process. I hope the manager reinforces to staff to pay attention to all ingredients listed. When I do get what I want, it is usually very good. read more

I'm going to give them another chance. I love the layout and the ability to build your meal but the food was very flavorless to me. I order the Vegan AF and I couldn't finish it. It needs spice and salt. It's also kinda expensive for fast food. My friend love her salad though. I'll give it one more chance but I think I just prefer to go to a Thai spot. A bit overpriced because every "extra" is expensive ... I really shouldn't be spending $13+ for lunch to keep full for the rest of the work day. It is also really confusing because the green curry with stir fried noodles have very little green curry taste to it. You would also think that because they use electronic kiosks to order food, that the service would be fast. The wait is too long if you don't have much time for your lunch break during work. Ordered what was supposed to be a vegetable stir fry with rice noodles. Got a box of noodles with 3 - 4 small pieces of broccoli and a teaspoon of chopped cilantro. (I'm not exaggerating) I guess if you actually want vegetable you have to double everything (which of course drives up the price). Won't be going back. read more

They claim to have delivery service and unless you live in the zip code of the store, you can't order online or over the phone. We were ordering for a corporate lunch (12 meals) and they wouldn't take our order for delivery because our credit card billing zip code was NJ (from a corporate account). I called and talked to someone who was no help and didn't care that we couldn't order- said "Yep, that's right you can't order if you don't have our matching zip code" and hung up. I called back to ask for the manager and they were no help either. After taking time to enter all the orders in online just to find out the order can't be delivered and no one at the store cared is very frustrating. My stir fry is mostly noodles. I think there was 2-3 pieces each of the veggies. I paid $.49 extra for 4 or 5 to tiny pieces. Meanwhile there has to be about 4 cups of noddles here. So much for a healthy lunch. Because you have to order at a computer and you don't get to watch them make your order you can't ask to customize anything. I paid over $11. Ugh. read more

I don't know what all the hype is about. The concept is cool and ordering is easy- but the food itself is really subpar. I've had both a stir fry (sour cherry BBQ) and a salad (make it grain) and both were relatively flavorless. Their sauces and dressings are seriously lacking. Salads are actually great, but they have an app where you can order delivery and literally three of my deliveries have just not arrived. When you call to check on the status they tell you it has been picked up and is on its way and an hour later no salad. Most people order salad to try and eat healthy so imagine after like two hours of waiting you end up being so starving you eat pure garbage food. When you call them they take no responsibility and claim that it is a third-party vendor that does the deliveries. That is not my problem. They should fix the problem. Today when I called they said they could make the salad again but I would have to come and pick it up....that is a ballsy response. Anyway, their app and customer service sucks so I think you are better off using Sweetgreen. read more

I love this place and have been ordering here for a while but it's disappointed as of late. My last three Caviar orders have come without sauce or mix-ups on the ingredients. Such a shame cause it's not cheap! Will continue to order, just hope they get it together. read more

I think I eat here too much, but is that really a bad thing? The food is good and you can choose the prepared meals or make your own stir fry dish and get a fountain drink. Place was very clean and welcoming. Very efficient . I had the chance to customize my own stir-fry as my brunch today lol. It was so tasty with the spicy garlic sauce. My only downside to the place was that my order was takeout and i felt that my serving could've been bigger with the container they placed my food in. My total was $12.42 that includes the $1.50 la Croix drink that I choose. At that price I would've expected the container to be filled nearly to the brim. First time visiting today to grab a bite and I got the pasta with crab. I didn't know how to order so was told by the young lady it's all through a kiosk which was also cool. It was really delicious and fresh. The ingredients used were freshly cut and you can taste in every bite. I would definitely visit again...I gave it a 4 because the staff was a little stand off-ish but in any regard one should definitely pop in and grab a bite. read more

The food is okay, it's comparable to some of the other stir fry restaurants out there. However, the food is way overpriced for the portion that it gives. Are they trying to feed a baby? I don't understand how they can justify charging 10-15$ for a small child's portion. If it weren't for the portions this would be a 4 star review. read more

Very disappointing. Trying to be healthy and low/no carb. I ordered the something with garlic sauce that required me to sub-out the turkey for what I wanted, the chicken, Very complicated ordering process on the screens. I got the lettuce instead of rice or noodles to stay low carb. When the bowl was ready it was only about 1/4 and the lettuce was on the side. Very very small portion for $10-$11. I asked about this and was told I could have added more veggies or chicken but that was extra. I said how would I have done this? She said there were ambassadors near the order stations and at the register. I said, How was I supposed to know that and there was NO one near the order stations. Also, the sauce was very very spicy and I did not order the spicy sauce. The wok and salad station were filthy. My friend ordered a tofu dish because he's a vegetarian and they used the same wok/stir fry as they just did for what appeared to be a chicken or pork dish. Yuch. Finally, the soda machine was broken. It came out about 90% soda water/seltzer and extremely light on the syrup flavor. I told the cashier, it was looked at and I was todl it was OK. It was not! Guys, I'm obsessed. Brooklyn Heights has a fair deal of restaurants, but very few of them are good. This place is efficient, healthy, and SCRUMPTIOUS. The honey ginseng green tea is amazing, and I like to make my own stir fry - wheat noodles with chicken, bell peppers, shallots, and red curry sauce. Also the fruit cup - strawberries, blueberries, and pineapple with honey and coconut. Go now and support this place. We need it! *One note for the management: There is no phone signal in that place. I went in thinking this place was going to have healthy stuff, but I was pretty surprised to see that a good amount of the options are relatively high in calories and have a lot of sodium. I ordered the Spicy Sesame Garlic Stir Fry and while it wasn't terrible I would not pay $11.50 for it again. Stopped by here for takeout right before the lunch rush. The set up here is interesting. Different from most places. I can see the convenience of it but at the same time, if it gets busy the place may crowd a lot. I got the coconut curry stir fry. I thought it was all premade but to my surprise they stir fry everything fresh in front of you. Seasoning-wise it was a bit bland and I don't even eat very salty food. The ingredients seem to all play a different role rather than the dish coming together to something delicious. Maybe a salad or meat stir fry dish would've been more flavorful. I ordered two stir-fry lunches from honeygrow via Caviar, and was it was.. kind of disappointing. My bf got the CYO shrimp stir fry, and he mentioned some of the shrimp weren't cooked thoroughly. Also, regular sauce was ordered for both dishes, and they were wayyy drier than expected. Besides those issues, my chicken stir fry was tasty, and they do give a good amount of noodles. Overall, I expected better based on the reviews, but I'm hoping it's because I ordered online. I'm willing to try honeygrow again, however will definitely make the trip there instead. read more

Thank you Rashel and the gang at Honeygrow. I'm addicted! Between the Walnut Noodle salad and the Spicy Garlic stir fry, I have dinner almost every night. Right off the train at Court Street/Borough Hall, the food is always delicious and fresh. Some of the staff is still learning so it's not a bad idea to check your order before you leave. But tonight when I got home and realized my order was missing a few items, Rashel took great care of me asap! Whipped up a new salad and it looks amazing. Thank you to DJ who is service with a smile...pretty soon they will be flawless but give it a try now. You will definitely be back for more! (Tip from a friend in Philly if you are trying to cut calories..get the sauce on the side for the stir fry..food is tasty without it and you can monitor how much you use).
