Delicious food and the most amazing staff! They forgot to add whole wheat noodles to the salad I ordered and they kindly apologized for the error. As I was walking to my seat, my flip flop popped and broke. Luckily I had bought an extra pair in my bag but they had a zip tie since they were new sandals. The manager (lady) I guess saw me and came over to offer help. She lend me scissors and then one of the workers came and gave me a bottled water. They were so friendly and professional. Found this gem of a restaurant walking on the way to the promenade. I really like their food and I'm willing to wait even though they take a long time to prepare. Even my doordasher cancelled on me because they would take 20 minutes to prepare food. Not bad for a fast and healthy food option in the lively part of Brooklyn. We came here after a long walk along the Brooklyn Bridge Pier and wanted to keep up the healthy lifestyle. With the number of calories written right next to the dishes on the menu, honeygrow delivered. With machines to take your order, and fast delivery of service, this place is certainly the spot for millennials looking to get a quick bite after their yoga sesh. The machines are quick, easy, and honestly refreshing to use. I wonder why similar establishments don't make more use of them. I will say, though, if you are looking for an authentic Thai food experience, honeygrow isn't the place for you. The flavors are never going to be as robust as a real Thai restaurant, but they will certainly be healthier. Here, you either pick a dish with a salad base or noodle/rice base. We got the Make it Grain salad, substituting carrots with pears to make it more fun, and the Sweet Soy Five Spice, substituting the green beans with mushrooms. With quinoa and arugula, regardless of the feta, grapes and pears, Make it Grain was a bit boring to me. It needed a tad more protein, so get it with chicken or some other meat of your choosing if you don't mind paying an extra couple bucks. Sweet Soy Five Spice was served hot and heated my stomach. I enjoyed the flavors a lot more there, but I can't say it tasted Southeast Asian. The turkey went well with the mushrooms, so you may want to substitute the green beans or onions for them. I would totally come here to try the other dishes if honeygrow opens near my workplace. The portions were large enough and the price wasn't outrageous. Yes! This place is good. I was here twice in a row and had no problems getting a seat for a quick lunch. You order via touch screen and then you wait for your number to appear. To stay portions are larger than take out though! -Spicy garlic noodles - Loved the spicy sauce! You can customize it a little and add or take away toppings. - Made my own salad with kale and noodles. Really enjoyed the Sriracha Tahini sauce! I don't get the rave reviews! Honeygrow is clean, efficient, techie, and fun. The staff should be commended for their service. However, the food was ultimately bland, common, and boring. I got a stir fry with rice noodles, beef and shrimp, edamame, spinach, mushrooms, and some other stuff, all in a garlic soy sauce. The beef was dry and almost inedible, and the shrimp was slightly overdone. The rice noodles were clumpy. The sauce was almost nonexistent. I'd describe it almost as mediocre Chinese food. I would try it again, but go for the salad bar to see what that has to offer. read more

Had a terrible experience with rude manager recently. The app screwed up our order and gave us the wrong thing and the very nice cashier apologized and said we could keep it and they would make what we ordered. That was very professional and appreciated. Then the manager came over and took back the item she said we could keep and growled that she should not have done that. honeygrow is a fast casual, build your bowl/salad/stir fry chain, and it's a great option if you're trying to eat a little healthier. It's tempting to draw comparisons with Chipotle, but the similarities being and end with being able to customize your meal. When you enter the restaurant and walk past the long counter, behind which the staff prep, cook, and serve the food, you will get to a series of screens where you choose what you want to order. Then you're given a bill with an order number, and another board where the available order numbers appear. There is very little interaction with the staff, and it's remarkably quiet for a fast casual restaurant. This system of ordering might be a turn off for people who have questions about their order or want to customize beyond what is available on the screen. There are a number of set options for salads and stir fry, but I chose to make my own stir fry with a double order of chicken, a number of veggies (3 are free, and there's a cost per additional veggie), the spicy garlic sauce, and toppings of cilantro and sesame seeds (2 are free, and there's a cost per additional topping). As I'm on a low carb diet, I picked Boston lettuce as my base. I think it might be a good idea for honeygrow to have more low carb base choices; zucchini noodles maybe? Another option would be to offer a meat and veggie stir fry for a slightly lower price. With all the extras, it came to around $15 for a smallish portion stir fry, which is pretty overpriced, but the food was flavorful, tossed around well, and the meat to veggie ratio was perfect! I didn't try any of the other sauces, but I've been here twice and was perfectly satiated. The food is ready within ten minutes, and my only complaint is with the app because I tried ordering through my phone once, and only after I had built my order was I informed that there are no more pick up spots for this location. There is also a honeybar with juices, sodas (with cane sugar, as advertised!), Yogurts, and fruits, but they're all a little overpriced. So I came here looking for something fresh and light tasting and I heard amazing things about honeygrow from a friend but sadly I was disappointed. To start off, I thought the ordering system was pretty good, and especially great if you're the type of person who doesn't like direct interaction with people. Basically it's a computer and you go up to if and either select a specific stir fry recipe or you can create your own (which is what I did). Then all you do is swipe your card (or insert cash) and wait for your food. The service was great too, even though there isn't exactly a wait staff, several workers did stop by to check up on us throughout our meal. They were also super friendly. The downfall though was the food, maybe it was just an off day but I just really did not think it was super fresh tasting, despite watching them cook it (which was a perk). I felt a little sick afterwards too. Honestly it was probably from the sesame garlic sauce rather than the veggies but I just felt so so gross afterwards and the food was overall lacking in flavor anyway. Maybe I'll come back one day and order something different (without the sauce) because it's so convenient but the food definitely was disappointing. read more

If you order online don't worry about getting there at the time your order is supposed to be ready. The past two times I've been I've had to wait ~20 minutes from the time my order was "supposed" to be ready. The backup is horrendous. If it's going to take 20 minutes longer than the scheduled pickup time don't advertise that it should take 15 minutes for an ASAP order. I guess if they told you it would take 35 minutes they'd lose business so instead they provide a bogus time for your order pickup. read more

They're super helpful and friendly. Their food are locally sources and organic. My order are often creat your own which is a couple bucks cheaper than they created ones. During peak time, there is a wait time. However I have never waited more than 15 minutes for my food. There are no table services, HoneyGrow will text when your order is ready for pick up when you are dining in. In the back there are plenty of seatings and space. Tables are always cleaned and wiped. Once again there are no table service, you are responsible for your own garbage and mess. There are various options to order from; their self service machine, in person, and on their app. Their self service machine and app are super easy and straight forward to use. Willy, who answered my call, realized that I wasn't far at all and without thought said that he would have someone drop off my order. I really want to like this place. After my last review, I was given $15 credit, so I returned today to give them another shot. I got the Make It Grain (with roasted broccoli instead of beets) and an apple pear cobbler yogurt. The salad was delicious except for one issue- it didn't have enough dressing. I'm not typically one to complain about not enough dressing and I hate when something is saturated in dressing. But too much of the arugula in my salad was dry. Perhaps there should be an option when you order of light/medium/heavy for the salad dressing. As I got my order to go, I couldn't ask for more. So that was frustrating. But the yogurt was worse. The "roasted pears" were underripe and crunchy. Any kind of roasted fruit should never be crunchy. The roasted apples were delicious at least. The ratio of fruit to yogurt to whipped cream was off- it was mostly fruit and whipped cream with a bit of yogurt. The streusel topping was meh. And when I got to the bottom, one of the pieces of pear had something neon on it. Don't know what that was but it was a bit disturbing. So, I definitely wouldn't recommend anyone get a yogurt cup here. And if you get a salad, make sure it has the right amount of dressing. read more

Have been going to this spot since they opened, and the locally sourced products are definitely quality! The major part that is lacking is the staff. Although I pay for extra toppings every time there's always stuff missing when I get home. The staff want to hang amongst themselves rather than with honey grow clients. Collectively they are really nice but when paying $13 for a salad it would be nice to have all the ingredients included. It could also adapt better hygiene policies. read more

Discovered this gem last week while looking for place to grab lunch. I was so pleased with the food, I returned the following day with 12 co-workers! In an attempt to save time, I ordered from the Honeygrow app and even though I'd set my store to the Brooklyn location, my order went to Philadelphia. I was upset but Ollie was kind enough to speak with his manager and they were able to get me my order pretty quickly during the lunch rush. The food was great and so was the service. I had a stir fry and it was delicious n a much healthier option but still just as tasty compared to my fav Wok to Wok. They have zucchini and sweet potato noodles yall which I love! As for the experience, its very easy to swap and customize your order in their self-order screens - my favorite interface that Ive seen at fast-food spots. I will say I was a bit annoyed that they didn't have prices available on their physical menus - I also didnt see a menu for their honeybars, which I may have ordered on top of my stir-fry otherwise. However, once you start using the screen, ordering stir-fries and salads is pretty transparent - the costs are all laid out. Overall my high rating is for the great tasting and healthy food options plus the ease in which you can customize your order. Also, the wait was pretty quick!
