Dear Chocolate (left), Yuzu Affogato (right)

I usually get the Matcha Darling at the other Houston location and you can really taste the matcha. My friend and I wanted to try something else and was recommended the Yuzu Affogato and the Dear Chocolate. The Yuzu Affogato will probably be my go-to option now as the yuzu peel and pulp along with the corn flakes meshed really well with the ice cream and honey. The Dear Chocolate was okay to me and did not really stand out since it was just ice cream with chocolate syrup. My only concern was the portion size was fairly small for the price; however, there are a wide variety of menu options besides ice cream such as milk shakes and regular drinks. The workers were very sweet and Kevin was very patient with us as we had trouble deciding what flavor to get and his suggestions were solid. It did take a while for our ice cream to be made though since only one machine was available during the grand opening, but they moved the line at a quick pace. The establishment was fairly spacious with about 6 tables open to sit. Parking may be a bit difficult at peak times as well.

Showed up during posted business hours, but the store was closed. The hours on the door indicated it should've been open.

For something cold, the Mixed Fruit Shaved Ice with Flan is a total must-order. Milky sweet ice combined with fresh fruit, and a rich flan to top it off. Food: 4.5/5 Service: 4/5…read moreAmbiance: 2/5 Overall: 4.2 My group got the fresh fruit shaved ice with strawberry ice cream and coconut pudding. The shaved ice itself was really nice and fluffy, with the condensed milk topping being VERY sweet yet not overpowering. The fruit toppings we got, for the most part, were good. The pineapple and cantaloupe were both okay, though I think they both could've been fresher, but the strawberry and mango were both really good and complemented the shaved ice. I also really enjoyed the strawberry ice cream on top. I was a bit skeptical at first, but it added another dimension to the dish. The coconut pudding, though, was quite disappointing, not tasting like much and overall just feeling like a random and unnecessary addition to the otherwise really good dessert. The ambiance here was the main issue. It is a little bit barebones and not very decorated, but that didn't bother me. What did though was the piercing high pitched noise of the electronics, which made it really hard for me to focus, and the flashing lights, which just made me feel really disoriented. Still, this place is a hidden gem in the Dun Huang Plaza compared to everything else around it, and is definitely worth a try!

I browsed their website previously and was mainly interested in trying a smoothie bowl or freeze. The establishment is so clean, aesthetically pleasing, yet simple. The employee I chatted with was super helpful and even let me taste to the 2 flavors that I was interested in. I tasted both of vanilla and açaí flavors. I wasn't a big fan of the vanilla, but the açai was incredible! They have two sizes for the freezes, I opted for the larger size. You can put as many toppings as you'd like. I opted for the blueberries, almonds, coconut chips, and the granola. It was so good! The granola was some of the best I've ever had. Pricewise, this around me $8.50. I need this place on my side of town immediately, but in the meantime, I will definitely be making a trip to Sugar land lol. Forgot to mention that I also signed up for their awards program. I believe you get one point per dollar. It was super easy to sign up, they have a QR code by the register and the process only took a couple of minutes. So glad I decided to stop by, I'll definitely be back.

We were about to buy something when the lady told us not to get it because it wasn't good and they were planning to return it. She even had her staff take it off the shelf right away so no one else would pick it up. That kind of transparency is rare and we really appreciated it. The drinks took a while to come out but they make everything fresh so it was worth the wait. While we waited we checked out their crane machines and played a round. Mama Mia Special (L $9.75): Wow, this was a huge cup packed with fruit. I loved the coconut meat, jelly, and strawberry. The mango bits were not quite ripe so they were a bit sour but everything else made up for it. Matcha Mia (L $8): Yum, delicious and easy to drink. I actually liked this one more than the special since it combines sugarcane and coconut juice and just works really well together. Multi Flavor Waffle ($5.75): Comes with three flavors, pandan, durian, and taro. It was so good. I loved the pandan the most. I am not usually a fan of durian but I tried it and you can really taste it in there. The taro was the most subtle but still really good.

Very refreshing for the summer and I pretty much downed my cup as soon as I got it Besides drinks, they also make pandan waffles. There smell is alluring and you'll be tempted as soon as you walk in. Most restaurants in this plaza are don't have an outdoors sitting arrangement and mainly focus on indoors setup.
