It's very cool on the inside with vintage and Indiana-themed decor, tin ceilings, and, of course, a potbelly stove. The staff were friendly. But brother and I were very confused about the ordering process. There wasn't a lot of directional signage showing where to start and each step of the process. I watched a few other customers go through and they didn't seem like they had a problem so maybe it was just us. Next time I would probably just order online and pick it up so I could avoid the in-person ordering process altogether. I had the turkey sandwich and it was pretty good. I would say definitely a step up from your typical sub sandwich chain in terms of flavor and toppings options. I tried the chili mac as well. The chili is definitely à la Wendy's but I enjoyed it. The mac and cheese was good as well. I'd probably get either on its own but not together again. I also tried the Potbelly/Zapp's collab chips, the Hot Pepper flavor. They were good but are definitely not for everyone. When I visited, most of their fountain soda options were out of order so I settled on a no sugar added Pineapple Passionfruit juice/soda which was actually pretty good. We'll definitely be back - especially to try out their milkshakes!

When we entered, we were told to sit anywhere. We passed several un-bussed and dirty tables before finding a spot in the back. In general, the place could use a good cleaning and a facelift. They seemed to be understaffed with one server running around. Our service was good with glasses full, orders taken and a covered milk cup for my granddaughter. Food came out relatively quickly. They serve breakfast and lunch. The menu is broad with lots of tempting options. My husband had the patty melt, which he loved. The burger was juicy. The fries were ok. My granddaughter had the kid's chicken tenders with fries. The chicken was battered and delicious. Her meal came with a large glass of milk. It was a winner. I had the BLT. There was a generous portion of bacon on the sandwich, but some of the bacon was undercooked. I ended up pulling out the undercooked bacon. I should have said something, but I didn't want to make a fuss. There's plenty of parking.

The restaurant is small and homey. Our server was very friendly and attentive even though she was quite busy! She checked in on us several times while enjoying our food. We ordered coffees while reviewing the menu and decided on the 2 egg basket (2 eggs of choice, toast, choice of meat and hash browns) and the haystack. Our food came out quickly and was hot. This is the perfect breakfast spot, I am looking forward to stopping in for lunch sometime!

There are lots of sides to choose from. The price is a little high for just a sandwich with no sides. You have to wait in line to order at the counter and then the food is brought out to you at the few tables in an adjacent room. There is little ambience but just good and quick food. The menu has a few unique sandwiches that make good use of the butcher's meat. Prices are reasonable. My husband had the Debris Po' Boy Sandwich, served hot. He loved his sandwich with a generous portion of beef, lettuce and tomato. I had the Grand Palace Salad, which was huge. The chicken was marinated in a Thai sauce and was a tad dry. The rest of the salad was fresh with snow peas, cherry tomatoes and mandarins orange. My friend had the meatball sandwich, which looked awesome. The sandwich was huge and shareable. (I'm getting that next time.) The clerks were friendly and helpful. The dining area is roomy and great for conversation. Restrooms were available. There is a dedicated parking lot behind the building or street parking in front.
