I don't think I ever been here in all of my years in RI lol but have heard about it. I didn't eat all day and worked on my day off (today) and me and my coworker were talking about Chinese food and of course somehow we got to talking about buffets lol. By the end of my shift and all hungry, I decided to go try this place once and for all! I told my coworker I was gonna try it and asked if she heard of it. She said it is SooooOoooo GGGGOOOOD! And guess what? It was DEEEE-LIII-CIOUS! I was greeeted on my way in immediately, showed me my table and asked what I wanted to drink. I usually like to walk around and see what's available so I can eat everything that I wanna try, a piece or two here and there, that way I eat and finish what I take and not waste food!!!! Compared to other buffets I've been to, this was half the size but there was enough selections to satisfy your cravings! There was a soup & appetizer station, 15ft long main station, small sushi station and ice cream freezer. I didn't get to try everything I wanted to so I guess I would have to come back! For now the only thing that needs improvement is the hot n sour soup: it's kinda plain...for a hot n sour soup. The service was warm, friendly and very attentive staff. Probably my favorite Americanized Chinese buffet at the moment. The outside of the restaurant looks kind of dingy but don't let it turn you away from trying this place. All the food here was very fresh and was always being resupplied. I noticed they kept the food fresh by only putting out small portions at a time. The crab Rangoons, beef teriyaki, shrimp, dumplings, and orange chicken tasted great! It seems they change what is served throughout the week. Will be back. read more

It's no exaggeration to say I've been coming to this restaurant since I was a child. It's been around so long for a reason. Service is great. Excellent selection of food that is refreshed often. The place was very clean it had a wide selection of food however I was there for the crab legs and it was 4:30 and the crab legs were not out yet and it took a minute for them to have them out and didn't take them long at all other than they made a mistake on the bill which you almost gave my son-in-law a heart attack when it came back to $265 other than that I like it and I would recommend it to somebody else so I change my answer to yes read more

They dont have hibachi noodles so I almost didnt go. They dont have 100 different items. They are practical, efficient and a perfect example of quality over quantity. Thats why it was so good. This places prime rib was cooked perfect medium rare, sushi and raw bar were legit and all the chinese staples were great. Its super clean. The staff takes the job very seriously. OK, I reviewed this place before and I thought they were going back to the way they used to be which was good. Turns out that's not the case. The food is just lacking the love that it used to have before and in some cases, the food is just sitting too long in the buffet trays and not being changed out with new fresh food. The service is always great. I will miss the friendly ladies who pick up the plates and bring over the refreshments. The ambience is the same, but like I said, the food just lacks. This is my favorite Chinese buffet for the simple fact it's smaller than most so the food is constantly replenished quicker and the food tends to be fresher since they aren't just sitting under lights for that long. The waiters are quick to refill drinks and take dirty dishes as well read more

We have been coming here for years. They keep getting rid of the quality stuff and replacing it with cheaper items. The sushi is made as cheaply as possible with no good ingredients. There is no raw fish at all on/in the sushi. Very disappointing how much they cut back and took all the best things away. read more

Came for the buffet ($19) on a Sunday and the food quality here exceeded my expectations. There were only a couple animal items that were tough. The chicken was surprisingly white and juicy. The crab rangoons were so good! Warm inside, creamy and a crunchy outside. Loved the Mac & cheese, plaintains, anything on a stick, and fried shrimp. Unfortunately, the sushi was tasteless - probably old and the pizza was nasty. Service was excellent. Honestly the food use to be so much better than I experienced. All the meat options, especially the chicken and beef teriyaki, were tough and dry and some of the food just looked old. If we visited late I would understand but we were there for 6:30 dinner time. The crab Rangoons use to be creamy with a taste of sweetness but this time around they were really dry. Overall it is a pricey option that does not meet the expectation. Not sure that the owners really care about customer satisfaction. I really wanted to love this place again but.... We have been going to Hong Kong Buffet from 2016. It was the best deal in town and the food was excellent. We went once monthly. Then Covid hit. At that time, their quality was compromised and has never returned to its former quality. Additionally their prices have really increased substantially. We continue to visit because its one place our boys will find something to eat but it's sad what Covid did to this place. read more

By far one of the worst Buffet in Rhode Island. The food was terrible. Had no taste and all the plates that we tried were cold and stale. My family went there around 5/6 so one would expect to have some fresh food. But everything was old and stale. The fry rice is as more like a boiled rice with chunks of some type of meat. My son repeatedly found hair on different dishes that he tried. The water had an awful smell and I had no clue what the taste was. I think the only part of the meal that I enjoyed was the fruit. The people are hovering over you literally pushing you out. I had to tell the lady three times that we're not done. And to top it off the price per person was outrageous, if the food was good I don't mind paying. But when it's terrible food it hurts a little. Hope this helps you guys. read more

I LOVE this Chinese buffet, this is the only one I'll go to in Rhode Island. It's clean, it's delicious, they have a nice size parking lot, you can hold events here AND they have BUBBLE TEA, say whattttttttttt! When you walk in you're greeted and sat right away, the waitress are always very nice and attentive. Your plates won't stack up quickly, they come and grab them ASAP. Now to the food they have quite a small selection but just enough to make you happy. They have Chinese food, raw shrimp, sushi, pizza, chicken wings and etc etc, the food is really good. They also do a very good job with making sure they keep the food full, you never really get the barrel of the food, they always bring fresh food out. Now I love bubble tea and I've never saw a buffet serve it, now trust me I always do slush when I go places but they only offer tea and something else ( brain fart) , and it's so yummy, priced right and very good I always do mango. As a non-fan of buffets this is average. Although to be fair - I've never been super impressed with Chinese Buffets. Having food served hot off a stove is superior than having food sitting around. But this place is decent because it's clean, and constantly being cleaned. Their bathrooms were clean. The place had a good feel and vibe to it. Their food had evidence of sitting around...virtually everything was over cooked. Chicken wings, ribs, crab rations etc etc. were overdone...sad to say those are my favorites. We ate at 3 pm on a Friday. And they use a hefty dose of sugar in their food. They received high marks for being the #1 Chinese Buffet in Rhode Island, Ill give it another chance. Been going to Hong Kong Buffet for a while now and it only gets better. They recently renovated the buffet area and it's modern and clean. They did stop the buffet during Covid. But it's all back to normal. The staff is so pleasant. They know you need extra napkins before you know you do. Check the times before you head out. read more

majority of the food managed to all be dry and off in some way, seating was fine, environment fine, accommodation for big party fine. sashimi and all sushi was absolutely horrendous, genuinely the worst sushi I have ever had, and that says a lot coming from me since I'm such a prestigious sushi consumer. getting the sushi also is a very weird experience; you walk up and there are single pieces of sashimi in tiny plastic cartons shown in picture, and they tasted disgustingly fishy. rest of the sushi tasted old and almost like sand. rest of the food was just average and ok for a buffet. recommendations, if you find yourself here, are the cod fillet, teryaki salmon, shrimp, ta sao (red meat looking thing in the first picture for my non-chinese peeps), and mac and cheese: those were the things pictured that managed to not taste like booty p.s. how tf do u manage to mess up fried rice??? come on hong kong buffet :( read more

Must be a new owner, food has changed, service has changed. Food is no longer the quality and flavor is used to be before they closed. Also the new waiter aren't professional he was grabbing placements and silver wear from the other table next to us where people were sitting at but not using, and then when it came time to pay we had not put tip on the card as we usually leave cash and he asked for a tip I felt very rude and rushed.
