I popped into new china cafe with a hungry toddler that was having a meltdown. The lady working the counter was so kind to us--she gave us some of the chicken dish she happened to have readily on hand and refused payment. Excellent food and bigger portions than I've seen at other Chinese restaurants. It was one of the fastest and hardest working kitchen crews I've ever watched. The only reason for my 4 stars instead of 5 was that the egg rolls were a little disappointing in size and my spice level wasn't spicy enough....but next time I'll just ask them to make it extra spicy. It's ok. They don't have a few of my favorites available like egg foo young or Singapore noodles (really thin) so that's a bummer. Today I tried the happy family with a variety of seafoods and chicken. I had to ask because there was no description in the menu. I wish there was more sauce when I got home to eat it. They asked if I wanted steamed rice or fried rice and I went for the fried. Basically it was white rice with some soy sauce to make it un-white but there was absolutely nothing else in it. Usually there's a little more that makes white rice from fried rice different, so I don't get it. The egg rolls aren't the thick, crunchy, traditional wrapper. They are the super thin & skinny rolls with the more bready wrapper, not as good IMO. They also didn't give me any hot mustard which I like with my egg rolls in combination with the duck sauce. Not sure if they forgot or just don't have any. So, for all of these reasons it can't be my go-to Chinese place. It's just alright. This is takeout only, no room to sit. read more

I ordered the crispy fried dumplings, combination fried rice and garlic pork. The pork with garlic sauce came with an egg roll, plain fried rice and a chicken wing. The combination fried rice and the garlic pork was outstanding. I ordered my food in restaurant then waited in my car. The staff were gracious and brought the food out to my car.
