First time trying this little restaurant and enjoyed both the food and service. The hong kong style wontons was delicious. You can order it with noodle as well; however, we opted for it plain since we ordered the beef chow fun. We were recommended the squab by the waitress, which is a rare dish to find and it was crispy and juicy. The beef chow fun was flavorful and not too greasy. My Cantonese is a bit rusty, but the waitress was very accommodating. Overall, a great first experience.

It was late Friday evening around 8:10pm and most of the restaurants were closed at around 7:00pm. We went to HK2 Plaza to check out if there is still a place that is still open. The ToFu King in the same plaza has already closed and we spotted Hong Kong Kitchen but have never tried it. It only had a few reviews and about 4.2 stars. We have decided to give it a try. Once we sat down, a menu was quickly provided. We asked the waitress for some advice and decided to order the following dishes: Beef Navel with Rice in Clay Pot - Great - Beef was delicious and tender. Signature Steamed Pork - Good - It was cooked with a pleasant and tasty flavor. Seasonal Vegetables in Soup - Excellent - The broth itself was flavorful and yummy with a thousand year old egg as base. Hong Kong Style Wonton Noodle Soup - Great - Wonton has large shrimp and is tasty. Lemon Tea - Good - like any Hong Kong style lemon tea. This place is a hidden gem with affordable pricing and tasty food. We are definitely coming back for more.

So glad they opened a location near us. Walnut was too far. They always have deals and staff is always kind even when it's super busy.

We had a sumptuous lunch in this restaurant. The food literally brought us back the nostalgia of being in hong kong. Amazing food quality, great service from the staff too. Will definitely come back to try other food in the menu.

The food and service were great. We ordered the beef and pork plus eggs rice noodle rolls, roasted squabs, sirloin wonton noodle soup and house special fried rice. We like the rice noodle rolls, squabs and fried rice a lot! Very tasty!!

There is so much joy in discovering hole in the wall places where the foods are served and the first taste hits your memory buds just right. That is the joy that came this morning, from the first sip of the fragrant milk tea, to the steaming wonton, and the morsels of spareribs ladened over steamed rice rolls. The restaurant must be newly opened because the interior looks newly remodeled compared to the rest of the plaza that has clearly seen better days. The entire plaza needs a major renovation because it is depressing and old. They need to start with the parking lot, which is clearly a liability for all vehicles!!! The ladies were so sweet and kind, even offered us refills on our way out. The flavors for very authentic for a cha chan teng, which brought back so many childhood memories for me. I loved the way everything tasted just as I remembered without the frills. Just good comfort food. Made fresh to order so expect a little wait that won't disappoint.

Their HK style food is authentic and delicious. We started with the hot and sour soup and it is literally the best version we have ever had. It had a bit of the Szechuan numbing spice and was a huge portion so we took half home. We also ordered their steamed rice rolls with shrimp and chive and you can tell it was made fresh by the wrinkles in the rice paper. The last item we ordered was their chinese sausage clay pot. It was exactly what we were craving. Crispy rice all along the edges with perfectly steamed rice, chinese broccoli and crispy chinese sausage. It was hard to choose because their menu was huge and we came late so we missed the pineapple buns but definitely need to try it next time. I also saw everyone ordering the lemon iced tea and realized it's because they do free refills! That's another need to try. I felt the value was really great and we definitely are coming back. Service was also great. The waiters quickly came over when you waved them down and they checked on you just the right amount of time. The decor inside is very cute and I love the retro style. Only complaint I would have is that we sat on the left side of the restaurant and there were quite a few mosquitos on the booth so we ended up sitting on one side.

It took about ten minutes for us to get a booth table, but we were waiting inside. The staff member called numbers firstly in Cantonese then in English. After we sat down, the waiting line persisted past 1 pm. Similarly, the bustling loudness continued on during the course of our meal. Food arrived quickly, however. The price point for the delicious food is competitive. We got French-style filet mignon ($18.99), braised tofu in brown sauce ($14.99), chicken chow mein ($14.99), and a steamed rice noodle roll with barbecue pork ($5.99). A pot of rice was included in our meal. The steamed rice noodle roll with barbecue pork was a nice appetizer that arrived first. I enjoyed how the French-style filet mignon was garnished with Thai basil, black pepper, and ginger. The meat was flavorful and tender. The braised tofu in brown sauce was consistently hot on the inside. The delicious brown sauce soaked throughout the vegetables. The chicken chow mein didn't have a lot of sauce, but it was still delicious with a lot of meat included. Overall, it would be nice to visit again outside of a peak time because the food prices are competitive. The menu is expansive, and the breakfast selections look interesting. The atmosphere during the Sunday lunch peak time was consistently bustling. I think the restaurant started to play Chinese music loudly at random points so that people could finish dining more quickly.

We were placed in the back room, which felt a little more calm compared to the main dining area. Service was good. Our waiter was fast, friendly, and really on top of things, which made a big difference since it was packed. Ordering is simple, they give you a paper menu where you mark what you want and hand it back. We ordered tea for two and picked a bunch of dim sum: jumbo shrimp har gow, shrimp fried wontons, steamed rice noodle roll with shrimp, baked abalone sauce BBQ pork bun, poached Chinese broccoli, and custard egg tarts. Everything came out fresh and hit the spot. The har gow were plump and juicy, the rice noodle rolls were soft and silky, and the BBQ pork buns had that perfect slightly sweet, fluffy texture. The egg tarts were a great finish--warm and flaky. We did end up only getting 5 out of the 6 items we ordered, but honestly we were already pretty full at that point so I didn't feel like making it a big deal. Also... we were so hungry we totally forgot to take pictures of the rest of the food Overall, a good dim sum spot, however I felt like the prices were a bit higher than the other dim some places I usually go to. Anyway, we also noticed the di0m sums are getting smaller. Then, last night we decided to have dinner there. No waiting, and we were seated right away. We ordered chicken and char-siu . To our surprise, when the dish came, the chicken portion was small enough that it's about half the size of what they normally give you. More noticeably the dark meat part. The char-siu had a few few pieces on top, the rest were little bits and pieces underneath it. for $17.99 , that's quite expensive. We could and should have asked to return it like a couple of other tables next to ours did. But they got theirs after us. Needless to say, this will be our last time to go there. No sense to get this kind of food and service, while the parking was terrible.

There was a bit of a mixup initially with the business owners double-booking at another location on the same night, so they sent us here to their Rowland Heights location instead. There was a small area for an open bar, photobooth, and backdrop where we were able to take photos with the newlyweds. The dishes no longer have that proper wok hei flavor, and the food tasted bad on my recent visit. What made the experience even worse was the service. The staff were rude, dismissive, and acted annoyed that customers were even there. One of the girls, the one with the ponytail, was especially rude and needs to learn basic manners. Another staff member was also unfriendly and gave attitude the entire time. I also did not appreciate being pressured about tipping. A tip should be optional and based on good service. If the service is poor, customers should not be made to feel uncomfortable or confronted over it. On top of that, they add extra charges when using a credit card, including a fee if you spend under $30. That already feels frustrating, but the bigger issue is the attitude and poor treatment from staff. Customers are the reason businesses stay open. No one is asking to be treated like royalty, but people come in to enjoy a meal and should at least be treated with basic respect. If I am going to be ignored, rushed, and given attitude, I would rather stay home and eat in front of my TV. I will not be coming back .. food quality and customer service Nate major improve.
