The coffee here is amazing! I usually get the Local Latte with an extra espresso shot and oat milk and it comes out perfect every time. The drinks come out fairly quickly and the workers are very helpful. There's a good amount of seating in the store as well and the store is kept really clean. Overall it's a great place for a quick pit stop if you're on the strip.

Located across our hotel and decided to give this place a try and I'm glad I did. Line can be long but you can also do mobile order through toast. Even if you do walk up order service is pretty quick. We have tried thier ube latte, local latte and the Hawaiian latte and all were good,I'd say I really can't taste the ube flavor. Hawaiian latte is my favorite.

Our daily coffee mostly consist of the local latte, Hawaiian latte, matcha and some ham and cheese croissants. I seriously could not get enough that I bought beans from their place and their honey. My top fave is the local latte and their ham and cheese croissant. It is sooo delicious. Fast service and friendly staff. I bought their extra fancy beans as well for home and I made it today and it was delicious. Very cute vibe in there and they have a big menu with smoothies, matcha and acai bowls. They also have different pastries and breakfast sandwiches. I really love this place. Highly recommend as well when you go to Hawaii! A little prices but their coffee is so smooth!

We try to come to Hawaii once every two years and I'm sure there are some great coffee shops in the Honolulu area but I'll never know because I know exactly where I'm headed every single time and that's Honolulu Coffee Shop. It's attacked to the Moana Surfrider Hotel but open to the public. Amazing to me that I cannot be there for years, but when I return the consistency is 100% the same. Great coffee, great staff and great island vibes all the way around. My go to is an iced oat milk latte with honey and a quad shot and I always get their PB bites too. This spot is always one of the highlights of my trip to Honolulu and I go every day I'm there. Great job guys!

Aloha! We flew in from Maui yesterday to visit our son who is a Junior at University of Hawai'i at Mānoa. We are staying at the Sheraton Princess and since we prefer their pool vs. The Surf Rider where this Honolulu Coffee shop is located. The coffee is prefect! We ordered a Hawaiian cappuccino, chocolate croissant and the best! blueberry strudel muffin I have ever tasted! The shop is "Hawai'i causal" setting inviting and fun! The staff was very friendly and engaging. There must have been at least 3 or 4 "Mikes or Michaels" since they kept calling my name. Next time I will use "Walter or Heisenberg" when ordering!

While staying in Waikiki, I had to stop by this place twice because I loved the vibe! We had been told by a Maui local that Honolulu Coffee makes its own vanilla syrup from scratch and also uses local honey, highly recommending the Iced Local Latte with Macadanian Nut Honey and Laie Vanilla - and boy was it delicious! Super great blend of coffee flavor and strong vanilla flavor without being too sweet or milky, the Iced Local Latte was definitely my favorite menu item that I tried. For drinks, we also tried the Iced Ube Latte and Iced Strawberry Matcha Latte. I was not a fan of the Ube Latte, not being able to taste any Ube - which is usually a vanilla-like flavor that's a bit more earthy - and barely any sweetness at all in this Latte, but it did have a very vibrant and pretty purple color. However, the Strawberry Matcha was great: creamy, flavorful, and fresh strawberry puree. I also ordered a Classic Acai Bowl, which was delicious and refreshing, but I wouldn't say there was anything too special to write home about. However, I was very impressed with the portion. Lastly, we got an Almond Croissant that had a great buttery, flaky pastry, but the almond filling was a bit sweet for my personal taste. Delicious though!

The line is always pretty long, even when I went only a half hour after they opened. I love Honolulu Coffee Company, so I'll do it. I'll be in there for 15-20 minutes to get my fix. It's connected to the Moana Surfrider on the outside right - not inside the hotel. They have a good amount of seating for the size of the shop but it's always been so busy in the mornings when I go (8:30-9:30) that the line is kind of in the way of a lot of chairs. Once you order, the food/drinks come out pretty fast. It's a little on the pricier side but worth it IMO. If you're from out of town, there's no parking, in case you were wondering. May the odds be ever in your favor with Waikiki parking.

Came here twice and think it's overall 3.5/5 stars. - Espresso drinks are great. - Iced matcha latte was good until I got near the bottom third of the cup and kept getting chunks of matcha powder that hadn't dissolved in the milk. It wouldn't have been a big deal if there weren't so many of these little chunks that were unpleasant both in texture and quite bitter in taste. - Guava hand pie was just ok. I asked for it warmed and it was still COLD inside and sadly not crispy or flaky like I had hoped. - Açaí bowls here are okay. The price around $20 seems pretty standard for this area. I do appreciate the extensive list of add ons though like almond butter, coconut, cocoa nibs and more. I don't like that the açaí itself is still pretty frozen and hard when it first comes out - so would recommend giving it a few min to melt a little. Fruits are ripe and sweet. - Tables to sit and eat inside, clean - Service is average, nothing particularly notable

When I am in Waikīkī I like to grab a coffee and açaí bowl in the morning or heading to the beach. I got the Hawaiian latte- which has coconut and macadamia nut syrup which is a little too sweet for me. I also wanted an açaí bowl so I got the classic- acai with bananas, strawberries, blueberries, and granola. It was very big for 1 person, I probably should have gotten a chia yogurt for something smaller. Service was great and quick, there's some seating inside and it's really busy. Kind of on the pricey side, it was about $30 with tip for my coffee and açaí bowl.

I'm not really a coffee aficionado thus can't differentiate between Kona, Columbian, Sumatran, Javan, coffee. My wife is better at tasting than me while all I need is a sweet coffee. The Shop in the Moana Surfrider is convenient if you're on the beach or walking on busy Kalakaua. Nice bright casual interior with a friendly staff and tables to sit inside to escape the hustle and bustle of Waikiki.

This shop has an unfair advantage, being located in a beautiful historic hotel. The place is immaculate, beautifully decorated. The staff was extremely attentive, and the order comes out lighting fast. A well oiled machine. I had the Kona ice coffee. After drinking Starbuck daily on the mainland, my wife was very impressed with the Kona Bean. And the almond croissant was simply amazing. Love this place.

    Erich L.

Nice coffee shop. I tried one of the pour over drinks and had the standard coffee. I think the standard one was good. They have some Hawaiian style drinks and food options. Plenty of seating and right near the Main Street of Waikiki.

We picked up a variety of pastries, including a few matcha breads, the chocolate emoji bread, bacon onion bread, and the Cinnamoroll blueberry bread. My boyfriend mainly had the matcha breads and his favorite was the matcha mochi an-pan. I tried some as well and really enjoyed the combination of red bean paste and chewy mochi filling. The chocolate emoji bread was so cute, but flavor-wise it was simply bread with dark chocolate inside. It was good, but nothing memorable. The bacon onion bread was probably my favorite, it was savory, flavorful, and satisfying. I also enjoyed the Cinnamoroll blueberry bread. The blue sprinkles made it extra cute, and the blueberry custard filling was yummy. For drinks, we ordered the Cinnamoroll blueberry iced tea lemonade and the blueberry white chocolate cold brew. Unfortunately, neither drink had much blueberry flavor. The iced tea lemonade tasted more like a classic Arnold Palmer, while the cold brew was a bit too sweet for my taste and wasn't my favorite overall. While the bakery items were good, they didn't completely wow me. That said, the Cinnamoroll collaboration was adorable and made for a fun experience.

These malasadas were fresh, crunchy, and gooey inside. I did like them as a breakfast treat or nice quick snack. I will say that most of the flavors and malasadas are pretty sweet. Another thing to mention is that do not reheat well, so its more of eat them at the moment or they do not taste as good later on. Overall I would come back here again next time I am on Oahu !

I've walked out of the way from hotels just to get coffee and pastries here. I'm not even a pastry person, but this place made me care. The coffee, the croissants, the sandwiches. It used to feel expensive but justified because the quality was there. This last visit felt like the magic was gone. We came back during a long family trip with our two young kids, and the service was cold from the start. One employee seemed more interested in her phone and side conversations than the customers in front of her. The coffee was handed over messily, with liquid spilled on top like nobody cared enough to wipe it down. My wife also asked for a cup of ice when there were barely any people in line and instead of simply helping, the response was curt and dismissive, as if asking for something small was an inconvenience. The frustrating part is that this place built its reputation on details. Great coffee. Excellent pastries. Long lines that felt worth it because you were getting something special. Now it feels overpriced, indifferent and tired. Maybe the pastries are still good. Maybe the coffee is still technically good. But when the hospitality disappears, the whole experience changes. What used to feel like a destination now feels like another expensive Waikiki coffee counter coasting on reputation. I hate writing this because this place used to be a must visit for us. But after this trip, I'm done making the trek.

They have ice cream, cakes, and other desserts Also tip: if you are ordering a malasada also order a coffee or a matcha drink to go with it. The cinnamon sugar from the malasada just matches so perfectly with a drink this restaurant is also a nice place for walking! There's lot of stores and restaurants to walk around! I'm trying to remember but I think there was a book off that was not too far from here! If you either drive or maybe walk. Service: staff was super helpful and friendly while I was there. I was having an issue with my online order because my phone was being glitchy and they were so nice in helping :) Also wanted to note their branding is so cute!! They even sell merch items too

Everyone knows to go to Leonard's for freshly made malasadas, and the constant crowds there attest…read moreto their quality and variety (review: https://yelp.to/jaduiZfQRq). However, there are many alternative malasada purveyors throughout Honolulu, so I depended on local vloggers to find the best ones. This one popped up often on YouTube, and as luck would have it, we were dining at The Pig & The Lady on the next block. How calorifically convenient. We took the opportunity to stop by for a pre-dinner snack since they closed at 6PM. It's a cute shop with multiple sweets including quite a selection of housemade ice cream and delectable mouthfuls called Cake Bombs (Photo 10). We decided we would be good and ordered one unfilled Malasada each. Dusted with various sugar flavors, they were just $2.65 a piece. I went for the Coffee, while Jamie chose the daily special, Cinnamon (Photo 6). They were soft and tasty, quite comparable to Leonard's albeit a tad smaller. That wasn't necessarily a bad thing since we had dinner ahead of us. However, we let temptation get the best of us and shared a $5.50 slice of the Ube Haupia Mac Nut Bar, a yummy combination of sweet potato and ube topped with haupia (coconut milk pudding) on a macadamia nut crust (Photo 9). Truth be told, it stole the show from the malasadas. FOOD - 4 stars... the malasadas were good, but that ube dessert was next level AMBIANCE - 4 stars...really a takeout operation with a lot of temptations SERVICE - 4 stars...very calm and orderly TOTAL - 4 stars...yet another spot for sweet Hawaiian decadence RELATED - Exploring Hawaii? BOOM SHAKA LAKA this is my review of liliha bakery! overall really good pastries, a tad overpriced,…read moreand quite touristy. that's okay cause i'm a tourist too and proud of it!! coco puffs were not too sweet. i lowkey don't know what type of filling they use (probably coconut obviously) but it tastes like a very soft frangipane. but coconut version. the original is okay, the dubai chocolate one was really good! had a good amount of pistachio knafeh filling. croissant was alright - also not too sweet. couldn't taste the green tea. the hotdog roll was BOMB. BOOM SHAKA LAKA!!! the glizzy was yummy with the sriracha mayo drizzle. service was fast, you are personally served by them if you are getting takeaway. it is by a number system. it is on the third floor of some mall, pretty easy to find. if you can't find the mall just look for the GIANT teslas at the entrance. aka the little goblins of musky ahh crusty ahh elon musk.

Liliha Bakery was on a lot of people's must-try lists, so we put it on ours. We came here for lunch…read moreand were seated outside. What was interesting was how many birds were trying to come and steal your food from the table! Be aware of that. Service was good, food was alright. I ordered a noodle dish with shrimp in it. But the shrimp sort of tasted very dry. Overall it was an alright spot. Tried their ube mochi thing as well and to me I didn't really enjoy it. A bit on the dry side as well. But maybe I would come back to try some other items.
