Ok, I used to go to school in hawaii and also had more than my share of Hawaiian bbq all over, outside of hawaii. As I work for an airline, I've been back to hawaii more than 40+ times. Anyway, was excited to see a 4 stars rating, but once again, I was let down by Yelp. We had 2 Teri beef plate, chicken katsu, and Teri chicken plate. Quantity was smaller than expected. The Teri beef needs to be thinly sliced so that it would soak up the flavors as it's being marinated. This was not as the cut was thicker which also made it chewier. It was heavy on sauce, but the actual beef lacks flavor as you can tell they really don't marinate them. Katsu was typical, but chicken was a bit dry. Mac salad, which is usually my favorite. Say it slowly... Loco... Moco... Burger... if you have never experienced this, you must stop by this hidden gem in St. George Utah. You can say it hit the spot or broke the mouth and either saying will convey the same message. The cashiers are expedient and efficient. We had a seven combo order along with drinks and they delivered correctly. After we sat down, some of their workers took our orders to the table. They came and checked on us mid meal as well. My wife had kalua pork and our daughters shared a teriyaki chicken combo. We ordered ours with salad and pickled cucumbers. Talk about ono'licious filling! They were out of some dessert items, but no worries as we will drop by again on our way up or way home. One of our friends we travelled with took us there on our way back from a Zion Mt Carmel, UT, & Page AZ trip. I also have friends that will travel from Mesquite AZ just to eat here. We got single plates and had plenty of food, but they also offer mini plates that have less meat and only one scoop of rice (good for kids or smaller appetites). My daughter had a mini plate of the katsu chicken that came with some dipping sauce. The sweet sauce they offer for the rice was really yummy. Everything looked and tasted authentic.
