Final restaurant for this short trip to Utah. Decided to try Chinese... Why not.. Clean and friendly staff, got sat right away. Menu was interesting with different options from different parts of Asia. Ordered shrimp Bakmi Goreng noodle. Never had this dish and I read the description online and sounded yummy. Ordered basil chicken and orange chicken also. Food came pretty quick and chicken dishes came with white rice. I looked at my noodle dish and first thing popped in my head was.... "hmm didn't look like that online and sure looks like typical stir fried noodle.". Took my first bite and yup, tasted like typical soy sauce seasoned noodle dish.... Looking at the basil chicken dish and first thing I noticed was not a single fresh basil leaves in the dish. Tasted the dish and again very blend seasoning with hint of basil flavor. Definitely not like basil chicken or beef dish I ordered from my local Thai or Chinese restaurants back home. Tried the orange chicken. It did have crispy chicken except it was more on the sweet and sour flavor and not orange flavor. Oh well, it is what it is. At least I didn't leave here hungry. I definitely would not be coming here (I mean I don't live here but if I ever pass through here again) and I could not recommend this place. read more

Should be zero.stars. Wife and I were in st.George for medical reasons. Ordered take out $41+ chicken with broccoli, generals chicken,and eggrolls. Food was nasty, dry and the fried rice taste like dirt. Seriously BAD food, we got the Hershey squirts. read more

Until Little China came to town, St. George didn't have a good Chinese restaurant. China Palace sucked at their old location that burned down (probably from all the stale MSG), and the other one on the hill above the Boulevard was meh. Little China offers great food, reasonable prices, nice ambiance, and very friendly service. My advice to those wanting great Chinese food...Little China is your ONLY option. read more

M & G brought us and we are so glad! There were six of us and we had a mixture of Asian foods. M & G shared a gluten-free Chinese chicken dish and they loved it. G and I had an Indonesian rice dish (Nasi Goering) with shrimp that was awesome. The shrimp weren't overcooked, which is easy to do. Do kudos! M and L had a Chinese beef dish and really enjoyed it, with the fried rice. Additionally, I enjoyed the hot and sour soup and the egg rolls. All very good and the right temperature without overcooking (too much frying) the rolls. Service was great as they brought out the food as it was prepared and still hot. Did a nice job keeping our drinks filled too. The restaurant had a couple of large tables and booths for some privacy so it would make a good date spot. So I'll add this to the places to eat when I come back to St. George. read more

Tried this place tonight and was very pleased with the entire experience. Well appointed decor, friendly and efficient service and delicious food. Proteins and vegetables were good quality and fresh. We've seen this area grow exponentially in the 20 plus years we've had a second residence near St. George. We tried some of their specialties. The Walnut Shrimp was exceptional. House chow mein with every kind of protein you can imagine and prepared table side was very good. The Garlic Beef was saucy and tasty. The combination fried rice was the only miss. It was just a bit too salty. We will still go back though to try more of their other dishes. Prices may seem high for Utah but not California where we live full time. read more

Little China - Walnut Shrimp is so goood. - Chinese Near Me - St. George, Utah

This is without a doubt the best American Chinese restaurant in the area. The food is not authentic Chinese cuisine because this is not an area where authentic cuisine would attract enough business to support a restaurant serving authentic cuisine. Orange Chicken is not Chinese cuisine, Orange Chicken was created by Panda Express in 1984 and is truly American Chinese cuisine. So while this is very good food, it is made in order to appeal to the local palate, so the Hot n Sour soup is made with red pepper flakes instead of the correct for authentic cuisine, which would be white pepper. Also the hot n sour soup does not have the appropriate sourness of it's original which is vinegar added to the soup, I have asked for vinegar and white pepper, they have happily given me vinegar but apparently they have no white pepper in the kitchen. The local palate runs to sweet entrees and that comes over a bit to starters, etc. I have had the Hot n Sour soup and the egg drop soup, I honestly didn't care for the Egg Drop soup, it was far too bland. I enjoyed the Hot n Sour soup even with the information above and it also does not have the usual pork or a plethora of mushrooms; however, it is still a very tasty soup. The egg rolls are quite nice, the vegetable egg roll that comes with the lunch combo seems to be a bit more flavorful than the pork egg rolls I have ordered. The pork egg rolls seem to be a bit mushy. The lunch combo that is served until 4 pm is a great deal, you get your choice of egg drop or hot n sour soup, a vegetable egg roll or crab Rangoon, white rice or brown rice or plain lo mein noodles and then the entree you select, on many you also get your selection of protein, the cost is generally $10.95/$11.95 depending on your selection of protein. I have had several of the dishes on offer, to me the sesame is far too sweet, and the chow mein is different from anywhere else I have ever had it, but this version is delicious as well. As to service, it is exceptional as well. I have never had even a "it was just ok experience" here, always so well taken care of here. If your glass is half empty the server will take it to be refilled. Never had a problem finding my server, and they are proactive and very helpful. Harry the owner, is constantly walking the front of the house and also the back of the house, he is very friendly and outgoing and loves to see people become regulars. Very warm and welcoming atmosphere, plus very clean and tidy restaurant, the tables are cleaned very thoroughly between uses and the bathrooms are single use and are some of the cleanest I have ever seen. All in all, this is an excellent American Chinese restaurant and should give you an excellent experience. read more

This is an amazing place! From the moment we walked in we were treated friendly. Harry the owner is a super great guy and very nice. Our server Mellie was so kind. She was prompt with everything and even brought us some sesame balls we hadn't ordered. The food was equally fantastic. We all tried the Seaame Chicken, Sweet and Sour Chicken, and Lemon Chicken. Food was good, came out hot. The hot and sour soup was thick and full of flavor, not as "sour" as others I've eaten but still very good. We had cashew chicken, honey sweet chicken and orange chicken. We tried this for the first time and none of us were impressed. I thought it was extremely expensive for what we got. An order of orange chicken with rice was $16. We all agreed the meat in all of our dishes tasted weird. My orange chicken was mostly breading and the chicken tasted old or maybe the oil was old. Either way, it was awful!
