    "Brisket" "Smoked Chicken"

Granted I came in 30 before closing but the brisket was more fat than meat. The worst piece of meat I had. I order SMOKED chicken and I got grilled chicken. The sausage literally fell apart. Took us 25 minutes to get our food Pica Rica was closed and made the worst decision of getting this

BBQ Brisket Sandwich (no, this is not a picture of my used toilet paper)

**Local here! EVERYTHING you need to KNOW about DUB's Barbecue!!!** I went to dubs expecting some great meaty and tasty sandwiches and it was very disappointing. I ordered the BBQ Brisket Sandwich and the Southern Fried Catfish Sandwich. As you can see there was no effort whatsoever put into these pieces. The "fried" catfished was not freshly fried, it had tasted like it was air-fried to reheat it and the batter and fish was tasteless. No seasoning whatsoever. The only tasty thing about the sandwich was the tartar sauce and even that wasn't anything worth buying. There were no accompanying vegetables like lettuce, or tomato, or pickles, NOTHING. The BBQ Brisket was a disgusting and amateur try at a brisket. There was no flavor and it was definitely not fresh. This brisket tasted like it was cooked a couple days ago and reheated in the microwave for service. It didn't even come cooked in barbecue, but they give you a side of store-bought barbecue to apply yourself. Then again no accompanying ingredients, no onions, lettuce, cheese, nothing! It was dry, cool, and horrific. Not to mention that BOTH of these sandwiches were indeed NOT HOT! A brisket is served HOT. A fried fish is served HOT! And the bread?? That bread was an average store bought bread, I swear I've bought it at Walmart before. And as for the sides?! They give you a choice of a side for any sandwich you buy and these things are legit 6oz! Not even a hefty scoop of a side, more like a sample and a half from Costco. Not to mention that the Mac and cheese taste exactly like Lin's Mac and cheese, DUBs is just less fresh than Lin's. Service was great and the people were nice. But the organization lacks effort, it lacks creativity. I rather spend $30 on 6 Big Mac's than eat this dread for $28 dollars. If you're a local or a visitor, don't try and stop by. Just read the menu, see what looks tasty and go make it yourself at home. It'll be cheaper, tastier, and surprisingly not cold to the taste.

I haven't even tried the food yet, but I was so pleased that the employee would not serve a couple who came in without a mask. She offered two for them to wear and when they refused she let them know she cannot help them! Yay! I so appreciate someone willing to enforce the sign on the wall and ensure the safety of employees and customers alike. I will return and tell others to because of their diligence. As for the food or was great. Fries were amazing '

When we arrived we waited for the host and informed him we had a 10:15 reservation. Despite there being multiple empty tables, he informed us we would not be able to be seated until closer to our reservation which threw me off. We were seated around our reservation time and given some time to look at the menu. Our server was very helpful and kept checking in on us to see if we had any questions or if we were ready to order. She did take the time to inform us that we should order before a big party as our meal would take longer if we waited. We ordered buttermilk biscuits to share and I ordered the arrival of the sun (two eggs your way, bacon or sausage, potatoes, and country bread). The buttermilk biscuits were brought to us first and were 2 large fluffy biscuits served with butter and jam. The butter was good quality and jam was made in house, but was slightly runny, but overall a delicious combo. The arrival of the sun arrived shortly after and was a large portion. The potatoes were my personal favorite, seasoned and crispy! Wood ash rye is in a hotel in downtown St. George. The hotel itself has valet parking that is $22. However, if you arrive early enough you are able to find parking on the street, just make sure you look out for any parking signs. The inside of wood ash rye is small, but they offer an outside bar, several large tables in the center, and booths off to the side. In addition, they have a bar just outside the restaurant. They did have a sign posted that dogs are welcome on the patio which is a plus! -1 star for service for reservation time and empty tables

There are places you go... and then there are places that feel like you've finally come home…read more The Painted Pony is the latter. We adore slipping away for lunch and settling onto the patio, where the world softens--shade drapes gently overhead, birds sing as if they've been hired just for the occasion, and time... well, time slows down enough to breathe. The service is nothing short of immaculate--attentive in that quiet, effortless way that makes you feel seen without ever being interrupted. And the food... oh, the food. The bacon-wrapped dates must have been crafted in heaven... or perhaps meant for the gods and somehow gifted to us. The tuna melt was so transcendent I found myself wondering if I had ever truly tasted tuna before... or if I had just been living a lesser version of the experience all along. And the beef bourguignon... my heavens. It was as if your grandmother--if she were also a five-star chef--had been waiting for you, simmering something rich and soulful to welcome you back after a long journey. Even the tea felt royal... and the mocktails were so delightful, so thoughtfully made, that not once did we miss the alcohol. The Painted Pony isn't just a meal... it's a return.

Tucked into the Tower Building, this New American restaurant nails the Southwestern-meets-fine-dining vibe: intimate indoor seating with contemporary regional art, fresh flowers, and soft lighting, plus a charming patio for when the weather cooperates. It feels romantic and relaxed without being stuffy--perfect for date night or a special occasion while visiting southern Utah.c91b9be2267e Service was attentive and friendly without hovering. Our server knew the menu well and made solid wine recommendations (they've got a nice list, and no-corkage Mondays are a nice touch if you BYO from a Utah store). Portions are generous for the price point--definitely not the tiny-plate nonsense you sometimes get at fine-dining spots. We started with the carrot jalapeño soup (bright, flavorful, and a nice kick) and the baked brie, which was rich and perfectly paired with the seasonal chutney and crostini. For mains, the bone-in pork chop and the hanger steak were highlights--well-cooked, juicy, and packed with flavor from the fresh ingredients and thoughtful sauces. The sides (mac & cheese and haricot verts) were solid too. We finished with the key lime pie, which was a bright, creamy winner. One note, though: pass on the crab cakes. They're a menu staple (around $16, served with something like pomegranate salsa or poblano aioli depending on the season), but ours were mostly filler with a noticeably fishy taste. Not worth the spot on the table when there are so many stronger starters and entrées.781e4d Overall, we'd happily return to The Painted Pony. It's one of the better fine-dining options in St. George--great atmosphere, strong service, and mostly excellent food at reasonable prices for what you get. Just skip the crab cakes and you'll have a winner of a meal. 4/5 stars. Recommended for visitors and locals alike. Reservations advised, especially on weekends.

Despite staying 45ish mins away in Cedar City, our fam made the mini trek to St. George after a long day of fun in the snow. This popular Texas-themed steakhouse chain location is conveniently located right off the 15 freeway. Parking was plenty. Yelp PRO TIP: Do join the website's waitlist, as dinner time can get pretty crowded & they don't do rezos. We joined prior to leaving our hotel in Cedar City. The wait said 35-45 mins, which was perfect because we got there in about that time. Upon check-in, we only had to wait about another 10 mins, before being seated. The restaurant decor is something you would have to see for yourself. Lol It's designed to mimic rowdy roadhouses of the past, with vibes of part dive bar, part restaurant, but all rustic charm. Jake, our server was very friendly and attentive. He did forget our bread refill request a few times, but the place was pretty packed, so I'm sure he had a lot of tables to wait on. He did take good care of us, nonetheless. The hype about the warm, fresh-baked, sweet, and fluffy rolls served w/ their signature honey cinnamon butter was for reals cuz we couldn't stop eating it! The whole fam devoured them & we kept asking for more!!! A total better version of Lucille's bread & butter, for sure. We got the Cactus Blossom starter, which was super good. Think onion rings but with a blossom aesthetic instead. It wasn't oily at all & super crispy. The Cajun dipping sauce was the perfect accompaniment. Next up, since the portions are pretty epic & plentiful, my daughter and I shared a 16 oz hand cut sirloin (medium rare of course..cuz obvi that's the only way to eat steak), topped w/ sautéed mushrooms & onions and loaded sweet potato & buttered corn sides. My hubs & son each got a sirloin & grilled shrimp combo (both med rare) topped w/ sautéed mushrooms and buttered corn & mashed potatoes sides (for my big eater son) & Texas red chili & salad (for the hubs). Everyone loved their food. The steak was cooked perfectly, IMO. The shrimp was a good size & flavorful. The corn was buttery & sweet. And my loaded sweet potato reminded me of Thanksgiving. I just had to remove the massive pile of marshmallows bc it got too sweet for me, but the sweet potato was perfect w/ the butter and cinnamony/caramel flavor. To wash everything down, I ordered the strawberry cucumber fizz mocktail which was super refreshing and yummy. All in all, a GREAT experience and a fam fav. We will surely be back every year on our snow road ventures. RxFoodie recommended!!!
