Hubby surprised me with a weekend stay at the Stayed at the Vineyard Inn Suite 3 for my birthday. I've stayed in other places in the wine country in this price range and I must say comparatively, it was PERFECT. I love the feeling of waking up for breakfast and dining with other people in a sunny, homey dining room with gourmet breakfast... the downside of this is usually a B&B that has thin walls where you have to stuff your face into the pillow and be a little less wild..I know, tmi. These Suites provide such privacy in a romantic setting- it's a great time to relax and just be. Loved: 1. The fact that my husband and I could play tennis and basketball (and I won!) in our swimsuits and get a tan! There's only 13 rooms yet a pristine croquet, put put, bocce ball, tennis, and basketball area for couples to goof around in. 2. The private jacuzzi tub on our patio with candles.. need I say more? 3. The girl that worked the phone who was very understanding (we made a res. for massage, cancelled it, remade it, cancelled it, remade it last minute). and was just as great in person during breakfast. Sorry I forgot your name! 4. Breakfast for the most part is great. The french toast was a little over cooked and tough, but the egg dish and the ham were great. 5. Super close to Cyrus. Could walk there in 10 min. (we however did not, since it's a bit harder with 4in high heels) 6. Massages were right on. Not the 'floofy' massages you get at some resorts. Nice and hard =)

It's true that one could purchase a serviceable used car for what it costs to dine for two when including basic wine pairings. If dropping $2k on dinner and wine seems like an absurd or rapacious proposition, SingleThread certainly isn't for you. If on the other hand it seems like a rounding error or a perfectly reasonable leisure tariff, you're probably going to love every last minute of it. Because the meal was so elaborate, I won't go into detail other than to say it was brilliant. Out of the dozens (literally) of dishes we sampled, only one was poor; it had clearly been over-salted by accident. Otherwise, every moment of the evening was pure, flawless bliss. One thing that I could be persuaded to agree with is that the overall volume of food is a tad too much. They could easily do with one less savory dish and the elimination of the second round of desserts. As it stands, I walked out feeling somewhat uncomfortably full. First world problems though, right? All things considered, SingleThread is a grand slam home run in nearly every respect. And that includes the warm and highly attentive service, the lovely interior architecture, and the welcoming rooftop garden. I will not hesitate to recommend this amazing culinary oasis to friends and family for a long time to come.

The breakfast service and food was incredible and we loved having our coffee delivered earlier (and then more coffee at breakfast time). The wine happy hour with lots of wine options and our own veggie and dips platter was delicious and fun too. We met other great guests and loved our stay. We'd also walk to downtown for meals and exploring which was a great walk and most of the exercise I got on this vacation... While we were there and planning our next trip back, we heard that they're unfortunately closing for 6+ months in 2025 since they have new owners. I really hope the same charm and all the special detail comes back to this spot when they re-open (and hope they're not closed for long!)!

A full breakfast is offered every morning and you get to select where to dine, such as the River Room (recommended), the dining room, garden patio, or even in your room. The menu selection is extensive and generous. Every evening there is a happy hour with a great selection of local wine and a snack platter that is delightful! They also serve warm chocolate chip cookies. This is an incredible to meet new people. Each night we had stimulating conversation with guests who traveled far and wide. We were late for dinner both nights because of the great discussions we had. Briana was the manager on site and she is incredible! She needs to teach a master class on hospitality. She thought of everything and was so warm and accommodating. We had a special and memorable time. The River Belle Inn goes above and beyond to create an experience you will remember and talk about for awhile. Looking forward to our next visit to River Belle Inn.

This Inn is walking distance to downtown which is what drew us to this location. Ve was our host and she was very nice and gave us a short tour around the place. I was confused because we were told we could use the heated pool and then, when we went to go use it, there were multiple signs saying it's closed. The walls are thin, you can hear everything occurring in the hallway. Our room needed love. There was lots of dust build up, the television was extremely small, and the bed frame was very flimsy. The mattress was also quite hard and it was difficult to sleep throughout the night. I was looking forward to the speakeasy but it was closed throughout our stay. I'm not sure if it's closed for good or just wasn't open when I was there. There was no information given about it. We went out and came back to the Inn around 8 pm, there was an empty bottle of wine and dirty glasses sitting around the entrance area. I'm not sure if that was due to available tastings at the Inn or if someone just left it out because we were not informed of tasting offerings at the Inn. Breakfast was served between 8-10 and it was soggy French toast, warm yogurt and room temperature orange juice. All in all, I would not stay here again and I would choose to stay farther away at a nicer place.

They made the bed and left towels. They did not clean or replace the water glasses we used or the coffee cups and did not refill the coffee creamers in the room. The patio was lovely, but the chairs they had to sit on are torture devices. Metal bands for the seat were so uncomfortable. We had to take small pillows from the room to sit on. We started talking and ended up having wonderful conversation with them every time we were together, which was in the afternoon and at breakfast. This was very special and doesn't happen as easily at hotels. The breakfast menu was posted several days in advance, and if you wanted to make an alteration, you needed to let the staff know. One morning they were supposed to serve breakfast burritos, which are not my favorite. I let them know and they served me an alternative which was perfectly adequate and enjoyable. I appreciated that. The Calderwood Inn is very close to downtown Healdsburg, and there is a wonderful walking path that leads you right to town. Easily accessible and quite nice. Check out that pic of burger he made for us for burger week! You can really taste the quality, especially knowing he uses fresh vegetables straight from the garden on the property. That is farm-to-table at its finest. On one of our visits, we stayed in a suite above the restaurant, which made the whole experience even more special. It was so nice to head upstairs after dinner and fully relax in our own space. Our room was stocked with thoughtful treats upon arrival, and we had access to the most beautiful private gym.
