    Pono bowl
    Sachi K.

I feel like the luckiest girl in the world that I got the best Acai on island in my neighborhood. I got a Pono bowl with almond butter and it was quite literally melting in my mouth. My sister got a BYOB with papaya and mango and it was so ono. The guy who works there really stays on his grind and makes sure to give you quality service. I was also talking to him about raving and he's just overall a cool guy. Their instagram is popping so make sure to give them a follow as well for free Nutella topping they also donate some of their proceeds to sea turtles which is awesome!! We ate our bowls at the park which had lots of open space and they also have a bench next to the truck where you can eat your bowl!!

Finally I found this cute truck and came:-) It was located by Kapolei library. I went there like 1pm, weekday afternoon. I ordered 2 pono açaí bowls small size. It said every bowl save a sea turtle!!! It was to go and needed lid so the owner put in medium cup for to go cup with lid! I appreciate it. It was simple acai bowl with banana, strawberries and blueberries with honey and granolas. Granolas are chewy type not crunch type. I love simple acai bowl and it was delicious. The owner is very nice!! Definitely I come back. Recommended

Saw this on the channel 2 news this morning and we decided to go. Talk to one of the owners he's name is Wes. And he thanked us for coming and seeing the segment on TV. Told him we like acai bowls and theirs look great. I ordered the" pono" and my husband ordered the "akala" if you see my pictures it shows what's in it. Also on the surf board menu on their truck. It was good and filling for our lunch. If you in the area of Kapolei check them out. Monday to Friday 11am to 6pm. Very friendly the co owner Wes and very polite too.

First off, the size of the açaí bowl is massive, lots of fresh fruits and of course tasty açaí. The staff added a nice nutella drizzle which i haven't tried on an açaí bowl before but soo soo yummy. He also had great customer service, positive energy! Will be back for more(:

I always see this truck by the library and devided to give it a try. Yummy & healthy acai bowl with all kinds of fruit toppings. I got a Honu bowl. Would get again but would adventure into the pitaya bowl next! Great customer service, the man was so sweet to walk it out to my car when finished.

Been seeing Honu Acai on Instagram a lot and been meaning to give them a try! I finally did today! Not disappointed. Small trailer right outside of Kapolei Regional park, across from the library. Small, regular, and large bowl options with plenty of topping options. The gentleman working (didn't get his name but Hi!) was so lovely. He made the experience even better and it was nice conversation while waiting for the bowl. I got a regular, which was plenty. Really fresh and flavorful with a bunch of fresh fruit. Really glad I stopped by and I plan to come again!

Amazing bowl. Owner is super cool, makes his own Acai early AM and gets granola prepared for the day. Support this place! Be aware maps can act a bit weird but he's parked right a next to park across from library.

I was told the "young girl" seems to now be running the lunch wagon. Loved my plate lunch because the Pinakbet had a lot of pumpkin & eggplant. Also included some okra, long beans bittermelon. I actually like bittermelon so could have used more and appreciated that it did not have a lot of lechon. The rice was a bit mushy though. The Filipino items are only available on certain days. Looked it up in yelp and found this food truck. Thank you Iris T. for your review and picture we ordered the Filipino mix plate. Had chicken adobo, sari sari, and dingaguan. Well they had 3 people working in the food truck so food came out fast. Reasonable prices too. Came home and the plate was full overly spilled into the other compartments but its OK. The chicken adobo was missing the vinegar shoyu taste. The sari sari was good taste and the dingaguan was a little watery my husband said. But it was ok. The pork was tender. SORRY NO PICS FORGOT TO TAKE. But it was full and over spillage into the other sections.

When I found this food truck, I immediately wanted to stop by and see what the hype was about. I visited about 30 minutes before closing. The only thing they had run out of was the chop steak and one other protein, which wasn't too big of a deal for me. My eye was on the beef stew. Growing up in a Filipino household, I knew this dish as "caldareta." My dad would make this for me all the time. I asked for a bowl to go so I could enjoy it for dinner later. The first bite instantly sent me back to my family's home kitchen, where I would come home from school and find a pot of beef stew waiting for me. What I love about Hawaii is that it has a blend of cultures that I truly appreciate as a foodie, and experiences like this feel like a nostalgia tour. Thank you for this delicious meal. It made me miss my mom and dad a little more than I usually do. Food not only nourishes us, but also brings us back to a moment in time. I thank Laverne's for that.
