The açaí bowl I got was delicious!! The service is a bit slow, but the staff was friendly when I was finally able to place my order. Not so friendly staff after my incident though. No receipt was offered when payment was made, just a name was taken for my order. After waiting for 30 minutes for my ordering and about 4 people (who placed an order after me) get their orders, I finally went up to ask about my order. The person who took my order and cash payment questioned me about my order and asked for my name. She then stated she has no ticket for my order and then stated my ticket order must have flew away and she then questioned me if I paid. I let her know I paid cash and she then said she doesn't know if I paid for what I'm saying I ordered. I then went back and forth with her regarding my order, the money she took, and saying I was offered no receipt. She then tell me to step aside and I will have to wait for the order that they will give me even though they don't know if I paid or not. I waited another 15 mins and finally received my one açaí bowl I paid for with cash. This service really makes me feel uncomfortable to give this business more of my business. They should have a better system in place for when orders may "fly away" as she states. Also, the way she accused me of not paying for the order and she was the same person that took my order and money! It's a shame that I was treated this way today. Super delicious treat! Fast service and beautifully built bowls. The price is more like a full meal, but this is not your average dessert, so be sure to come prepared to spend between $10-15 per bowl. They do have an option for small, and I'm sure it's just as tasty, however the small is VERY small... too small for me. Reason for 4 stars is because they do not show up on time to the designated spots they advertise. My wife was on a HI Cravings binge and we ended up leaving a spot because it was already 15 mins after their open time and still no van showed up. I told her "that might be a sign we shouldn't be eating this" lol but, apparently, that wasn't enough to stop us! We decided to run a couple errands then made our way back to Kapolei District Park, and luckily they had arrived. Our picks have been the regular acai bowls, one w/ strawberries, bananas, cookie dough and condensed milk, and the other is called a Dessert Bowl. That's my fave! Both of these bowls I would get again (thumbs up emoji). Bf got the bliss in a medium bowl (medium bowl comes with two blend choices) with two coconut blends. This bowl is very sweet, so definitely something with people with a sweet tooth. I got the ola in a medium bowl with the mango and the strawberry guava blends. Just a heads up, seed and berry OVERLOAD. Lots of goji berries, which I didn't care for. I haven't tasted them before, but now I know that they are not my thing. I am a huge açaí bowl fan. I used to go to HI cravings location in Kapolei when they had their store front. When they closed shop and opened up their mobile locations, I was so happy they were still in business! I suggest following them on IG @hicravingshawaii to see their schedule. The locations they will be at and for how long. I usually look out for their Kapolei locations since it's close to home. In kapolei they go to the regional park or the Makakilo park at the top of the hill. The workers in the mobile are always super nice. When you order: you order the size of the bowl you want then the blend you'd like. Each size allows a certain amount of blends you could have. For example, a large bowl = 3 blends. They will then ask if their daily toppings are okay and if you'd like add ons. The adds cost extra but they just make the bowl even better! I got the lychee pitaya and açaí blend. This is the second time I've had the lychee pitaya, I love it. It's a good mix that isn't super sweet. I always add cookie butter because it love how it taste and the crunch it has to it. I also got the stuffed strawberries because again, I love cookie butter it's so addicting. I would recommend this place to friends and family looking for a sweet snack on a hot day.
