I like it so much here, I have been here my last 3 visits to Laughlin. We got some beers and decided on the Bouncer size..think it was 24 oz. Beer is very inexpensive here and ice cold, especially during happy hour. We got our usual fetish fries and sliders with coleslaw on the side. The server gave us both separate cheeses and coleslaws...it was a very nice touch. There was a Sax player there that started at 5 pm...he was entertaining, but they kept the music on at the bar...they should really kill all floor music so you can hear the artist. I'm going to be honest, this place sucks, huge disappointment, don't waste your time eating here. Mostly due to the extreme slow service, or lack of it. You will wait forever for your drinks, your food, and once you get your food, it's just so so. My parents ordered drinks, they could not taste any, if little alcohol in their drinks. There is only one waitress trying to serve everybody in the dining area, she was nice, but overworked, it was not busy at 2pm. When our food arrived, there was no cutlery for us to use, we had to ask for them. Completely un organized. There was also some little kids (Brats) running around the dining area, looked they were kids from staff members and they didn't care if they running around, screaming, playing on the stage, etc. I spent $167 for 4 meals, and this was completely unacceptable!!! Super cool vibe & a fun, creative menu although I wouldn't take the kids because of the sexual nature of the menu also it's a bar so really an adult theme all the way around. We were there for three hours waiting for drinks and appetizers so to say the service is slow is an understatement but the view and the eventual food & drinks definitely eased the frustration. The restaurant owner & the staff must be losing a ton of money for super slow table turn over so we hope they won't go out of business before people get to go and enjoy this place. On our travels we always look for a restaurant that jumps out at you. Voodoo Cove was just that. The restaurant has three seating areas , main dining room, bar and deck that overlooks the Colorado River. We were sat immediately and drinks followed quickly. My wife ordered the loaded fries and I had an Italian beef dip. The drinks were tasty and served in skull glasses! My sandwich was full of meat , veggies and melted cheese. The AuJus was one of the best I've had outside my own kitchen. The loaded fries were large and flavorful. This was a great find and I would expect would be busy in the summer season. The kids menu was fun to read. My only issue was too much smoking on the deck. read more

This is written from my significant others point of view...which I totally agree with 100% I don't know why there are 5 star reviews for this location?! Must be by employees, friends or locals that get preferred service. This place sucks on all levels. We thought it looked like a fun place online, so we gave it a shot. Menu was cute with its names of meals, etc... We ordered drinks before our meal-- as most do. 45 min later, she gets her drink--I ordered a bloody mary. No sign of my drink. After an hour of waiting for our order, she gets her food--and of course, mine is nowhere to be found. Along with my missing drink. Then finally, my bloody mary shows up. She is eating, and I'm with this stupid creation of a drink--it has a mini cheeseburger on top, mozzarella sticks, a chicken tender, a couple beignets, maybe celery (I can't remember what else). Talk about a crazy looking drink! Now I'm pissed off. The waitress offers no apologies, absolutely no concern...nothing for my missing lunch order. We weren't offered any comps. Totally nothing from her. Almost forgot...we did ask a guy there where my drink was (who knows what time at that point), and he says they serve it with the food. Who does that? And why does Jen get her drink then??? We were so done at this point. Her caprese salad comes (super easy and fast to make by my standards). Besides an hour and 20 min just to get that salad, we asked about my food order (the same guy we talked to last time, because our server was no where to be found), and told him that we no longer wanted it. Still no apology. Not even a "I'm sorry I forgot to put in your order--we'll make things right". Nope. Nope. And nope. We honestly thought we got sucked into some vortex, or that there were cameras hidden, and that this whole thing was a joke. Nope. Nothing. This was the first time I left a $5.00 tip for anything. I don't even remember what the bill was. Almost 2 hours of our lives we will never get back because of this place. How this place stays in business is completely beyond me. And we we're on vacation. They opened promptly at 11:00 for lunch. I was greeted as I entered and offered a booth or river view. I wanted a river view which is a high table with stools and a perfect view of the river. There is a bar area down a few stairs and seating outside on their patio. Drink order was taken immediately and was informed their special on Wednesday was wings. They have specials everyday. They are closed on Mondays. I ordered the steak me up with flirty fetish fries. The sandwich was huge and absolutely stuffed with meat, onions, green peppers and cheese. The fries were shaped more like thick chips. A perfect compliment to the sandwich. They do offer other options- sweet potato fries, salad, I don't remember the other option. The sandwich came with Au ju for dipping. Unfortunately the meal was so big and filling, I didn't have room for dessert. I'll keep that in mind during my next visit. John, my server was attentive and friendly. I'll definitely be coming back to try some of their other offerings. Would be a 5 star, i have been here several times and never had this issue.However there were two kids running around a screaming very loudly. I was sitting at the bar and couldn't hear the music due to the kids screaming. Running up and down the stairs throwing toys down the stairs, barefoot and going in and out of employee doors. I love kid friendly places, but please teach your kids manners and do not use a restaurant as your child care, said kids were also very apparent of an employees kids as well. To top it off, once we put our food order in after 30+ minutes I had to ask if our food was ready. When brought to us it was in fact cold and sent it back. When we finally got our food back it was clear that they just warmed up our original order. Came here for Christmas dinner with my aunt and her 2 friends. I, my aunt and friend, ordered their Prime Rib Dinner $36.95. One of my aunts friend order the Roasted Chicken Dinner $32.95. The dinners came with a complimentary glass of champagne. The only problem was our server that took our drink orders, kept forgetting to bring them. Beside our drink issues the food was great. I have also been here for there breakfast twice and have been satisfied. This place is great during the summer I like to sit out on the patio, which overlooks the river. They also have great drink specials. My favorite is their bucket of beer. You get 6 for $10!!!! That's the best deal in the tri-state. I wish the owner would put a air blower fan on the front and rear, patio door, to help prevent flies from coming in when one opens the door. A couple of times during the summer there have been flies at the bar area. I'm down for the Christmas and New Years and I want to try the BBQ ribs everyone is raving about. The food was wonderful my loaded bloody Maria was fantastic. Unfortunately I am thinking it is a club at nights and does not get cleaned up the next morning it is disgusting. Im pretty sure we sat where someone puked on the porch and they did not mop it up. The bathrooms are the same i do not think the toilets get cleaned ever. I will order to go from now on. First of all, to the person who said they did not have a good experience and thought "all the five stars must've been friends or family," we are from Michigan and no way are we friends or family of this place. But we sure are happy we had our meal here. First of all our service was friendly and efficient and fun. Syrene took great care of us. and her friendly demeanor was appreciated. I had the worst experience in a restaurant I've ever had the other night. I myself work in food industry and run a catering business. And I have never met anyone so ignorant, me and my boyfriend sat outside for over 30 minutes waiting for a server to come back so we could order our food. We went inside to see what was going on and where she was and she was more interested in talking to her friends at the bar instead of serving her customers outside we were the only table in the restaurant by the way, and then another server was coming out as we were leaving to tell us that their kitchen was closed because they forgot to come and take our order and then they were laughing as we were leaving like it was a joke. Will never be coming back to eat here again. I don't even think they should get one star, we went to Buffalo Wild Wings and got better service read more

Decided to pop in for dinner on a Saturday night around 6:45pm. It was busy (large party present) but not crowded. I ordered a cocktail, which was delicious, but it took 45 minutes before the food we ordered came out. We ordered burgers and fries. I got the impossible burger option. It was cold, but I was hungry so I wasn't about to complain and wait longer. I also had to ask a passing waitress for some napkins as we didn't have silverware or napkins on the table. The fries (I got their voodoo fries with cheese and jalepenos) were good, but very salty (and I'm a person who adds salt to everything, so when I tell you they were salty, they were SALTY!). Last weekend my husband and two of our friends went to Voodoo Cove. Getting seated was a little awkward. It was super busy and the hostess didn't know or just wouldn't tell us how long the wait would be. Almost like she didn't even want to seat us. We got weird answers for about 5 minutes before we were seated. Once we did get seated we had a really great time! The menu is hilarious, the servers were all so nice and as fast as they could be. The drinks were all super good. We ordered the sample platter for the table and then all got our own entree's. The sample platter had a good variety of items. Everyone enjoyed their food to the max! Well taco night, remember, so we ordered tacos. Not sure if the pork tastes like chicken or the chicken tastes like pork or we all got the same meat? They we decent for a price, 8.99, four tacos and a draft beer. They didn't make red sauce/salsa that night, huh? Well I guess not. I even tried a couple of ground beef tacos, which needed hot sauce desperately, no red sauce on taco night, remember, so I asked for Tapatio. They don't carry Tapitio, wtf? Thats borderline criminal. Took them home to church them up and eat later. Not my greatest experience, but the service was good. Place seems like it has potential. They need to start paying attention to the details now, they have been open for a spell. Hoping my follow-up/check in review will be more positive.
