In the crazy world we live in currently, one small movie theater cared enough to make this wonderful experience happen for my gentleman and me.

None of the chairs have obvious stains, the floors aren't sticky or dirty, and the bathrooms are spotless. The chairs are comfortable and the theater we were in had the volume at a good level and isn't freezing cold. The employees are wonderful. We had a cashier and the General Manager assisting us and both were friendly and helpful. The popcorn is the best movie theater popcorn we've ever had. It was a nice surprise. The best part is that, unlike other theaters nearby, this one didn't have twenty minutes of ads before the trailers. That meant the movie started at a normal time. We live near a couple of those large chain cinemas, but this is where we'll be going from now on. This theater also has movies for $5 all day and night on Tuesdays. 10/10 recommend.

Saw obsession here, yeesh what a movie (complimentary) Appreciate: -the friendly staff with the genuine candor -the generous portion of nacho cheese -the un-updated feel of the place -good parking situation Don't appreciate: -the concessions left something to be desired -no cherry coke but that's my own thing cherry pepsi was an option but yuck cherry Pepsi -not a sit anywhere theatre but the seats weren't fancy or anything, they were comfortable enough -the cup holders for the seats were half-open-bottomed, which makes the cups tip forward slightly and also makes it so you can't put anything small in them Neutral: -the statues out front are creepy but I kind of appreciate that they're there still

This was my go to arcade for my kids and nephews. It's close to him and super affordable…read more Today, when we were there the place was basically empty. It was me, my 2 kids and my sister and her 2 kids. There was another couple with their kid, so the place wasn't packed. We got food at the concession stand and were chillin at the tables with our kids. After eating, our kids had a sugar rush and decided to race up and down where the tables were. We figured since the place was vacant it was totally fine given that it's an arcade and kids typically run around there anyways. My sister took the kids up to get prizes after they were done playing games and overheard one of the employees talking bad about us, pointing my sister out to one of his coworkers saying how we just let our kids run around. I'm sorry, but if that was such a big issue we could've had an employee approach us and told us nicely that it wasn't okay. we were there January 6th, the employee that was talking about to us was a bigger dude with blonde curly hair pretty sure his name tag was Riley and he was talking to his coworker who was a girl wearing a green sweater. If they don't like kids being crazy running around then you probably should not be working in a place where the customer base is mostly kids. It definitely makes me not feel welcomed with my kids and makes me not want to come back anymore.

It used to be the Swedish Evangelical Mission Covenant Church. There's some cool millwork, antique light fixtures, and large curved staircases, but overall this is on the tamer side for McMenamins properties. The venue had standing room and high-tops on the same level as the stage. Upstairs is theater style seating that was decently comfortable and had a counter spot to put your drink. There weren't any bad views, and the sound system was better than I expected. I think there are two bars, one on each floor, but the upstairs one was closed for the small event I attended. They serve drinks and small bites, not full meals. Parking is challenging nearby.

The doors opened up and hour before and we were able to get a seat in the balcony on the first row. The venue was small so every seat was great. The later people came had to stand up on the floor but they came to dance. Listened to Petty Theif...a Tom Petty cover band and had a lot of fun. Pizza, hotdogs, popcorn was the food offering and beer, cider and wine you can eat in your seats with the tables. Got the Mission Theatre stamp for our passport.

It's expensive but you're paying for the experience and I'd say it's worth it once in a while. I saw 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple here, kind of a weird choice for a movie theatre where you eat dinner- it was pretty gnarly. The good: -couches/comfy seating -actual food -friendly staff -neat atmosphere The less good but not necessarily bad: -having to wait to be brought to the theatre by a host -much more expensive than a regular movie theatre -no cherry coke (but they do offer a Roy Rodgers) -the popcorn is REALLY buttery which is cool if you're into that but I was overwhelmed by the sogginess

One thing that is neither positive nor negative is the sound in the theater, while it is very clear it is also extremely loud. I am not typically someone with sensitive hearing but if you are on either far side of the theater please prep like you're going to be right in front of speakers at a large concert (I have started to bring ear buds with noise cancelling due to the ear/head pain from sitting nearer to the walls). The positives: great film quality, comfortable seating, easy to purchase tickets. The cons: pricey menu that I have yet to feel is worth the price poin for the quality of food you recieve (also specials are rushed through before sitting), cleanliness of seating has been 50/50, parking availability can be difficult, each time we have gone food timing feels disruptive to the film. The last film we saw (Scream 7) food was still being delivered to people with 20 minutes left of the film.
