Excited to see the Saturday evening (June 13) showing of a new horror film. What' a mistake coming here, ack! First, a woman next to me with THREE children, all under 17 (looked to be brewed 8 and 12) running around the theatre and talking throughout the film.A nearby couple walked out because of the disruptions. Second, a couple on the other side kissing and groping throughout the film. That was super fun, deep tongue ASMR really helped the mood of this film -- NOT. Third, another group farther down the aisle on their phones the entire time,, their phone lights adding a special glow to the theatre. Regal, you need ushers monitoring the theatres. This is unacceptable. I won't be back. I'll stick to the Hollywood and Cinema 21 where this garbage rarely occurs,, and where ushers quickly take care of it when it does. read more

Employees meh Biggest issue is the frigging commercials before the movies. 25-30 minutes of tv style commercials then the trailers. We drive in to Gresham to see a movie occasionally. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The restrooms are clean, but the theater is always too cold in the winter and it can be too hot in the summer. read more

Some films must be seen on the big screen. Regal offers, sometimes, good discounts, if you join their "club". I did get cheap tix and popcorn. But, there's no way a family could afford it these days. Do I really need a $7 box of Junior Mints? Or hot dog? Or a horrendously giant sift drink? Nope. The theater was spotless on a Tuesday matinee. And empty. The help were kind and efficient souls. I think movie theaters are an epic form of entertainment. But, the business model needs to change or die. read more

I went with my brother and sister-in-law to see Nasfaratu last week. The volume was SO loud I had to partially plug my ears and I am hard of hearing. The three of us were the only people in the theater so the volume was not turned up to drown out loud customers. And the lights were left on the entire time without dimming. read more

The customer service at this location is absolutely unacceptable. The management is incompetent and the employees are very unhappy to be there. Maybe this location needs to close. read more

My son had to go talk to an employee because the movie wasn't starting and it wasn't showing upcoming movies either. We were the only ones in that theater. Finally when it did start it was so unbearably loud. I've never been to a movie that was so loud that I couldn't stand it. We ended up leaving. read more

Had a great Date Night with my Wife. Parking was great. Theater very clean... well not after the row of teens and their chaperons left a huge mess behind. Everything else was clean. The employees, all were polite. The soundsystem was awesome. Our only real complaint was the seats. They were cushy and the arms move up and out of the way but they just were not comfortable and our movie was less than 2 hours. Going to find another theater for Endgame. read more

I haven't been to the movies in a while. This place is one of the reasons they are dying. Take forever to buy poppcorn, getting beer is like a huge deal and super expensive. Tuesdays are suppose to have deals for cheaper concessions as advertised. They of course didn't do it. Just not worth it. I really enjoy this theater... not just because it's close to my work and home lol The theater has been clean everytime I've visited it. The customer service has been good and friendly. The lines move fairly quickly. There are 10+ options of movies. Seats are not the recliner new reserved them before they're sold out.... but they are traditional theater seats and in great condition! The concessions has some substantial things like chicken and pizza. With the traditional popcorn, candy, and some alcohol! On Sundays and Tuesdays there are discount days!! I love that theaters consider that some may not want to pay $12+ for a ticket and then buy food etc. Im willing to support business that show care for customers. Im a regal card holder... you should be too!!! I will continue to visit this location. read more

Everybody else gave this place a three, so I did also. Older multi-plex. Not the cleanest I've been in, but this part of town is kind of low end anyway. They do serve beer and wine. Use your Regal Crown Card for rewards. Just another in town trying to stay alive theater. read more

Had one person working the ticket booth on a Friday, when it's raining outside and there is no covering. Mind you we are standing outside in the rain to purchase a ticket and the line was 25 people deep. No one came to help with the line but there were 5 concession lines that could help you. Overall poor experience. Spider-Man was great though! read more

I have been here often and have experienced good and bad... The floors in the theater itself are almost always ready to fight me for my shoes, (sticky!). There is no continuity in staff's friendliness or attitude. Some are awesome while others seem like a teenager being asked to mow the yard. read more

I have been going to the Sandy Cinemas for the past few movies, as I like the reclining seats. However, we wanted to see Priest in 3D and had to hit the Regal on Stark. It has been a while since I've been her to this location and forgot just how much the sound system for movies rock. There was a point in the movie where they were making a city wide announcement and it came from the back speaker and it was so clear they are in surround sound. I can't notice that same difference in Sandy's sound. The Theater was clean and everyone was friendly at the front. I can see going back here more. read more

I watched this place get built and my gods, was it the biggest damn piece of news in all of Gresham the moment it opened. The entire lot was packed, it didn't matter WHAT movie was in at the time because everyone wanted to just watch it in this theater. I've spent MANY weekday nights at this theater, I've watched midnight showings for LoTR and 300 here. Many happy and delinquent memories here. However, everyone would agree with me that prices became outrageous. To see a movie became the price of just buying one. Snacks are stupid expensive. I always got what I want and enjoyed my time, but after the price hikes you just stop going as much. As a kid, going to the movies and getting snacks with your friends is a big thing, so I guess I'd say the only gripe I have is their obvious money grubbing. Netflix is now my best friend, but hey, there isn't anything like going to a movie. So a good spot to do it. read more

I don't come here often as it is far from where I live, but in recent visits it has been renovated quite a bit. Good projectors with quality picture, seats are fine and as expected, it generally seems pretty clean all-around, and prices for more adult beverages seems on-par with or less expensive than other locations. So, on the whole, I have no qualms with this Regal location and have never had any issues. If you're nearby and want to catch a recent theatrical release, do it! read more

Stark St is close to home and decent enough to come to if I don't want to drive to a better theater. Plus, I secretly love Regal's popcorn better than Cinemark, the other movie chain in this state. I don't really a complaint for Stark St.; movie prices are always going to be high so that one is a given. The staff is always friendly and the place stays pretty clean. read more

I like the prices for tickets during the day. Popcorn and drink are high priced, but that is every theater these days. The theaters are pretty empty during the day which is nice if you don't like annoying people around you when you want to watch a movie you've been waiting to see. The sound quality in some theaters are not as loud as it should be. I say the sound quality is not great at all and some theaters even sound muffled. Picture quality is good. Nice friendly staff. The ticket man is helpful. Really proud of the staff they choose here. They are nice but don't smile much and they look bored. read more

Second time have been here on week-end and took us 1/2 hour to get our tickets. If you are just buying a movie ticket you wait in line at concessions which had 4-5 cashiers but long lines at each. Everyone in line was upset guess it makes more sense to get movies online too bad. read more

I don't want to narrow in on the things that need to improve but I feel like the input is needed. I dropped my phone in between the seats the other night as I was in the theater and when my hand came back it was a complete different color than what it was when it went in. I was genuinely concerned about little kids putting their hands in between the seats and on the floor during a movie because after that I turned on my flashlight and was looking around and it was absolutely filthy. This was theater 9 and I was watching the film; "beauty and the beast" I have went to Regal start street for sometime now and whenever a movie comes out it's the place I go but I don't know how much of a good idea that would be on my part to take my partner out to a movie where the theaters are dirtier than just sitting out home and ordering it. I am a rewards member and once again I do love the staff at regal and they have only ever been friendly to me, I just feel like someone either isn't cleaning and doing their job correctly or they are just not being told too because the floors made even the bottom of my shoes feel bonded to the floor through how much sticky filth was below my feet. I don't think this deserves to be a review that holds someone back from coming to this location but if not today or soon I encourage to schedule the hours for a deep clean day and get it all figured out. The theater is fine. The staffing needs work. When they are busy they don't have the staff to handle it. The manager was no where to be seen. Only half the concession positions were open. read more

My husband and I frequent this theater often and have never had a problem or complaint. We went to see a movie today and there was damage to the screen. When I spoke to the manager he was not apologetic in the least. He questioned me as if I was making it all up then offered me a voucher to come back (I'm assuming that is their standard policy for a movie goer who spent $40 for two people who purchased two tickets, popcorn and drinks). I told him I didn't want a voucher, I wanted him to know the screen was damaged and that they shouldn't be showing movies in that theater until it was resolved. I used the restroom and then went back to ask for a business card so that I could speak to the general manager when he was available since I was so bothered by his reaction. Another woman asked if I was sure I didn't want a voucher. I again told her no, all I wanted was an apology for my movie going experience being ruined. She offered no apology and told me to have a nice day. I want to be clear about why I'm giving a 1 star rating because it has nothing to do with the screen damage: the way the manager handled the whole situation was appalling: he was smirking the entire time I was talking to him, accusatory in his tone, and at no point made me feel like he cared that a patron was dissatisfied with their experience. He never once used the words "I'm sorry" or anything close to it. My husband and I will drive a few minutes farther next time we go to the movies and go to a different theater where our money will be valued. read more

My local theater I try to go to a movie at least every other week - but one time I went they had no movie as scheduled and now they don't have movies after like 7 during the week - not a good look for people with a job! My only complaint that isn't common to most other theaters ( cost ) is having to wait in the concession line to buy my ticket, when I don't want anything except my ticket. I don't like it when company's try to manipulate me into spending more money then I'd planed to. Tell my grandkids that were going out to dinner after the movie, but they have to stand in the concession line anyway. BS read more

Not a bad spot, considering the other options in the area. The place is generally clean, prices are on par with just about any other theater in the greater PDX area. I love that it's about 30 seconds from my home, so I'll continue to come here as long as they keep it in the great shape it's in. read more

The start street theater is my theater of choice. The staff is great and it's very close to my home and is very clean. So.....of course I went here for the latest Happy Potter Movie midnight premiere. It was not planned the best. Actually I would say out of all the midnight premiers that I have been to this was the worst. They let small groups of people in at a time and from the time the line started moving it took well over an hour and a half to get everyone in the doors. The movie started at after 12:30 but we were kept informed of the delays in seating and the starting of the movie by the friendly staff. I will keep going here for my movie watching enjoyment but I will never attend another midnight premiere here. read more

I'm really bummed on how much this entertainment costs! Even with the rewards card. I don't mind spending good money on having fun but it's hard for a working single mom to go to the movies! I get the cost for staff, rent on the lease, ordering products; food, 3D glasses, etc. But $45-$50 for 1 child & 1 adult, a small popcorn, pop & candy? Ouch! We would go more if it was less. HOWEVER-Going to this theater is great!! Friendly staff, quick service & the reward card is a great incentive. When I do get the opportunity to go, I am so happy that I went! For the money we all pay to see the movies, we should get some bigger seats that recline back a little!? :) read more

I go to this location a lot, I haven't had a problem yet. I love the discount Tuesday's but make sure you're there a few minutes before the movie because the line gets long for tickets and the concession stand. Bathrooms are clean which is good but the water fountain needs help. The seats are comfy and nice leg room but a little to close together got to fight for arm rest lol read more

The hallway is so dark and creepy, especially when coming out after watching Prisoners.

Being a college student, I love All regal theaters. $5 Tuesday's for movie tickets even on new films is amazing. The movies are so expensive anymore. This particular theatre has always been extremely clean and everyone working there friendly and knowledgeable. I take my sister to the theatre sometimes and she is 16; I'm 25. The cinemax I think it is at Clackamas mall doesn't let me take her to R rated movies because I'm not her "legal guardian"; pretty ridiculous. Regal is always my #1 choice. read more
