She told me a table would be ready before then and that she'd call my wife. We waited another 15 minutes, and after 45 minutes of staring at empty tables, we decided to leave. At 7:15 I called to check on our table, and Debbie said it was ready. When I reminded her she was supposed to call us, she said she never told me that -- that I'd only said we were coming in at 7, and our table had been ready. I told her that wasn't right, that she'd specifically said she had my wife's number and would call. She just repeated that the table was ready, and I told her we weren't coming. The couple at our table knew him and referred to his name as, Jose. Jose seemed like a master chef, especially the way he cooked the shrimp and cooked in general: calm, cool and collected .
