She also became visibly angry with me. All of these things I think are unprofessional no matter what her personal feelings were. She would not give me the sleep medications I came there for until I took another medication she prescribed. Later a psychiatrist told me this medication was not recommended for me. During the sessions I felt bullied into sort of taking a belly up surrender to what she said so I could sleep at night.

Last month I injured myself and couldn't stand or sit without pain. I hobbled into the office and Dr Sandifer spend an hour checking to see what could have happened to me. I'm always amazed at how he can always find the exact spot of my discomfort. I was so thankful for the time he took to help my recovery. His response to my thanks of his time "When I see you in this kind of pain, I can't let you go". I've never felt valued like this from any other healthcare facility I've been in! I called my Health care provider & verified it was covered. I was also informed by Dr. Kaitens office. If I print the questionarre they provide online , fill it out & bring it along, It will save me time.So after getting to her office, She told me she didnt know why "THEY" had me fill that out , & that it was irrelevant" So I asked if I should just throw it away ? & She said yes & walked away , Noy showing me where to dispose of my information , Which was 4pages of information about me, Which I thought was rude, seeing how Ive never been there, I didnt know where the trash was or if they shred documents. So then she briefly explained to me what exactly I was doing.. As it was my first cleansing. The process wasnt so bad, It was the way she treated me that Im very dissatisfied with. So after the procedure she tells me to sit in an upright position for about 3-4 minutes & then get dressed. It wasnt even 3minutes before she knocking on the door..? So I tell her " Im still not dressed" & she says " Well, I Have a customer coming in about 5minutes" & Im thinking wow, How dare you rush me out of the room when Im not even finished with the entire procedure?? & not to mention , Dont book your appointments so closely together! So I scurry & get dressed , Obviously a little irritated. She did not go over any post care At all with me !!! She directed me to the desk where she accepts payments & stands there looking at me..? So unprofessional!!!! & Proceeds to charge me for the entire appointment. I told her , I had Insurance. She said " It doesnt matter, It doesnt cover this type of procedure" I explained to her that I called the office before hand & was told you guys do accept insurance" She said , NO... we dont have a Billing code to even Bill the insurance company, So 80.00$ Please" Which was obviously a LIE. I cant believe how Unprofessional & rude she was. They are lieing over the phone to get you in the door, & Once the procedure is done, Its too late, You have to pay!!!! Guess I shoulda went over all this before the procedure. I just didn't think Id get bamboozled the way I did. She could careless that I was misinformed , Which tells me they do this to all potential clients to get them in the door. I to run a business & I know exactly what she is doing. Poor business practice. I will never go back to see Dr.Rivers nor refer anyone. & I also will be putting a complaint in with the BBB.
