I got sent to this company from Progressive, to tow my Motorcycle. I've been needing a tow for 2 days now. I called the shop. the owner answered. I explained to him I just needed help & needed a tow. he turned me away to a different company. I asked him if there was any way they could expedite the service since I've been waiting for 2 days. he then called me an 'asshole', super unprofessional way to run a company. you would think they would try to go over & beyond to help a stranded biker in need. 10/10 would not recommend........ read more

Called my insurance to get someone to jump start my car. They found this place so I called to get an ETA of when they would be here. They were extremely rude and giving me attitude, saying "I just got the call, can you give me 1 minute to find you a truck?" I was polite, said sure I'll call back in a few to see if you found someone to get an accurate ETA then. Called back, man was giving me blunt rudeness. "Of course I found you a damn car, I have cars all over. You dont need to call every 3 minutes about it." This was my second time calling. Man started going off on me, and I said "You dont need to be rude" then hung up. 0/5 stars if I could. Taking them over an hour just to simply jump start me even though I'm 3 blocks aways. They were dispatched by my insurance company to pick me up in Big Cottonwood Canyon. I saw a tow truck drive past me even though I flashed him with my lights. I called them and said they had passed me. The dispatcher tried to reach the driver but said he want wasn't answering perhaps because of cell service. I later saw that tow truck with another car on it. They admitted they were supposed to pick me up and the other vehicle but errantly picked up the other vehicle first. I was told it was a mistake then the story changed an hour later. They said they would send someone else up, but then I called again after 20 mins when I hadn't heard anything. They claimed my insurance company had canceled their service call, but were on hold telling the insurance company they could come get me. I called the insurance company, they told me that it wasn't canceled by the insurance but that Hooked Up Towing said they couldn't come. I am texting back and forth with Hooked Up who says that they could come but they were an hour plus away in Provo. All in all these guys let me down, that's not in question. All I can say is the story they told me wasn't the same as the insurance company so I have my doubts about them. I would not recommend Hooked Up Towing! read more

After our truck broke down just outside of Salt Lake City, my husband and I were stranded with our 1 year-old. We were on the side of the interstate, but it was midnight, and we really didn't have many options. We were pretty scared and super stressed. Jonnie at Hooked Up Towing happened to drive by us and immediately stopped. He offered to take us the rest of the way to our destination for a minimal charge. He quickly loaded up our truck and helped up get loaded into the cab of his. I get pretty worried about "stranger danger" situations, but he made us feel really comfortable on our 40 minute ride. Once we got to our destination, and he unloaded our truck, he help us carry our things. I am extremely grateful for his willingness to help us in suck a nerve-wracking situation. DO NOT USE! My insurance had them come tow a car that needed a flat bed. I tried to explain that to the tow truck driver and he got mad. Then the owner called me and I told him the same thing and he told me to go fuck myself and I was a fucking bitch all because I needed a flatbed . They told me they know what they are doing and it can be towed when they didn't even see the front of the car! The front tire is completely bent in. DO NOT use!!!!!!! read more

I was stuck on the side of the road because my car was overheating. I was sitting there trying to get a hold of someone who could tell me what I was supposed to do. As I sat there in the passenger seat a flashlight shined through my window. I looked back and saw a tow truck. The mans name was Junnie or Jonnie Hollywood (I wasn't sure how it was pronounced). I didn't call or anything he just saw me on the side of the rode and decided to turn around on the freeway to come and help me. I didn't have any cash on me and he told me that it was ok and that he would help me anyway. I called someone and asked them if they would be able to meet me where I was going to bring cash, but before they got there He had already parked my car in the specified area. I then asked him for his Information so that I could give him a good review online. He wrote it on a piece of paper and gave me some cash and told me to get myself a drink. He took me to a place where I was safe and made sure I knew what was wrong with my car. After this experience I know that this will be the only towing company that I will use in the future.
