There was a line and for good reason. Hu Nan Express serves big portions, cooked fresh and very cheap. The staff were great and working fast. We ordered won tons, an eggroll, a 2 combo plate with rice and noodles, and orange chicken and a side of jalepeno chicken - all for less than $15. WOW. Super tasty and fresh. Great find.

That's usually how you know the food is going to be GOOD. Great Wall reminds me of those places I grew up with. Real comfort food. Big portions. Fast service. Familiar flavors. The kind of spot where people from the neighborhood keep coming back because the food is consistent and made with care. What I also love is how places like this become part of American culture in their own way. Growing up, I remember going into spots for gyros, cheesesteaks, wings, fried rice, burgers -- all under one roof. Different cultures blending together through food and community. It's a small restaurant so not a lot of seating but when we went, there was no one else there people we did notice. A lot of people ordered to go or delivery orders though. The host and wait staff were very friendly. Told us to sit wherever we wanted and they were right over with water. I went with my sister who has a gluten allergy and the waiter was very knowledgeable of the menu. He was able to tell us if anything had gluten in it or not. I don't remember what my sister ordered, but I got the teriyaki chicken. The teriyaki chicken came out hot and fresh! The flavor was good, nothing really stood out just normal. I did think the sauce texture and thickness overall was really good though. It's a really nice place and I definitely suggest dining in! There were a couple other things on the menu that I wanted to try so I'll definitely be back!
