I have been going to Dr. Hoops for years and he has always been great, but I just felt compelled to write him a review today. I could barely walk yesterday with my back all out of whack. I went in this morning for an adjustment and I tell you, it was "life Changing!" Not life changing in the figurative sense, but life changing in the sense that I could barely walk or play with my kids yesterday or even do my chores.... afterwards I'm walking around (actually standing up straight) and feel like I have my normal life back. I bought a groupon for Hoops recently. The appointment making process was really easy and I was able to make an appointment for both me and my bf at the same time on a Saturday morning. I had Terri as my massage therapist and she was WONDERFUL. Great energy and vibe. For an hour massage, it was really maybe 50-55 minutes because of the time to undress in the beginning and to chat to the therapist about your concerns. The room was really relaxing (in terms of lighting and music) and the massage was table had a heat pad! Really comfortable. I had a full body massage and Terri concentrates a lot on the neck and the shoulders. It was really relaxing. I think the amount of pressure was also perfect too. She also uses a lot of oil during the massage, so if you have any issues with that, let her know I chatted with Terri the entire time and she was really warm and personable. The time flew by. There is a small parking lot in the back. You have to turn into the alleyway to find it. Overall really great massage and I'd like to come back and get another massage as a regular customer! read more

This Chiropractor is absolutely amazing!!! I had upper back (Thoracic) and right shoulder (scapula) pain that had been killing me for 2 straight months every single day. I felt pain when I would sleep, sit, drive, even got to the point where when I inhaled too deeply it would hurt. I went to my doctor, he gave me pain killers and muscle relaxers...did nothing to help. I went to another chiropractor referred by a good friend and he tried for 2 weeks to help me out. I tried massage every week...NOTHING!!! I even tried "Trigger Point" injections in the area that really hurt bad...took it down a couple of notches but not gone. Then I heard about Dr. Hoops and he told me I have a couple of ribs out of place. He adjusted me in a way I never have been with my arm in a weird position and "POP POP POP" my problem came with instant change. It took about 3 adjustments and it is now all gone. He is just awesome. He also does this thing called "Graston" and it is like a facia massage to smooth out scar tissue an help your muscles and ligaments and tendons to smoothly move. I have known Dr. Renfro since he would take care of my son's team way back during our Fullerton Pop Warner football years. Wow, that was 10 years ago. Dr. Renfro is seriously not only one only one of the nicest and most generous people I know, he is a great chiropractor. He is not going to try to sell you anything extra or suck you into a lifetime of adjustments. His prices are good and you can typically get in pretty easily. Love this place. Our sweet little pup had a stroke. Called several places to find a chiropractor that would adjust our dog. He had been falling down for about 24 hours and turning his head to the side. We knew an adjustment would at least help the post stroke symptoms. Dr. Hoop made a little area with a blanket and adjusted our little guy. He responded well to the neck adjustment and our sweet dog was in serious pain on the hip adjustment but Dr Hoop was gentle and got it adjusted even with our squirmy pup. I came in with my mother who later told me that she also had a great experience and left feeling relaxed. I've been having terrible back, neck, shoulder, and nerve pain for about 7 years now. Most days, I could not even get a full, deep breath because of a stabbing nerve pain in my back and chest area. I walked in with major pain all over, slumped posture and a "waddle" walking pattern. By the time she was finished, I was standing upright (with NO pain!), walking correctly and could breathe without pain for the first time in a year. No joke - this is seriously amazing. I am seeing her every two weeks right now. One thing I want to mention is to make sure you follow through with the exercises and stretches she recommends to you. Her techniques and expertise are outstanding, but if you do not follow up with stretches at home, you're progress may take longer. I went to see Dr. Hoops upon referral after my normal chiropractor left to another state. The staff is friendly and they have always been able to see me, even last minute. Even though I have since moved to Chicago, I would still trust Hoops to care for me over many other practitioners. I wish there were two of him so I could be his patient out in Chicago.
