There was a large picnic space as you enter the park area along with an area with play structures to the right for the little ones. The lake is the centerpiece of the park and the trail goes around it. There were a good number of benches and sitting areas where you could sit and enjoy the view. There were a number of people biking on the trail. The trail was a loop and it was enough distance to get some exercise but not too long that you will get worn out. Every wall has an auto belay making it easy to clip in and out while being safe. There's a wall for all experience levels. There are restrooms, drinking fountains, party rooms, and an arcade. I prefer the group and spin classes but this gym also has basketball courts, a dry sauna, full swimming, kids corner, pool and jacuzzi. This year the gym underwent a partial renovation. The old dark carpet was swapped out for hard surface, non-slip flooring. There are also floor carpets in areas where that foam puzzle floor sat before. Old machines were replaced by new floor machines and different exercise products. The floor layout was changed as well. Now there is a turf-style section for stretching, resistance training, kettlebells and the like. And there is a section is separated for personal training. I'm glad they are investing money into the aesthetics and function of the gym. I've watched other gyms deteriorate into oblivion. We could still use a modern facelift and new spin bikes, but this is a awesome start.

Sure there's picnic tables if you wanna just sit and eat your lunch with a bunch of corporate office buildings all around but it's definitely not something I would drive 45 minutes to unless you're actively going to one of the scheduled interpretive program.
