I just returned home from Hooten Tire. I had a nearly new set of Blizzaks, and wanted them swapped onto the winter rims that had my old Blizzaks on them. Had a road trip tire malfunction and we were lucky enough to be close enough to get here with a spare. When we called the lady who answered was very kind and quick to check inventory, we were quoted $99 with installation. When we got there it seems there may have been some phone miscommunication about tire size but she quickly checked and the right tire price came out to $92! Another great experience at this business! After 4 1/2 years on the last set of tires I bought from them, it was time for a new set. In and out in 30 minutes. The previous tires I had bought were discontinued, so, I stepped up to the newest version. 60,000 mile, all season radials by Kenda...mounted and balanced for $348 total. If I could give a 0 star rating I would. I bought a set of 4 brand new tires last and had them installed at the Reno location. The two back tires were bald in the center within 9 weeks. Hooten refused to replace or contact the manufacturer regarding a warranty, constantly lied to me and argued over the phone on how it was my fault, tried feeding me every excuse in the book. It got to a point where I had to talk to the owner whom also argued and eventually told me I can't go in to get a tire rotation or further help. They all tried saying it was my 2018 truck that had issues. My last set of tires wore out evenly on all four. I made an appointment to get my truck looked at next week, after talking to a lot of other mechanics and tire salesmen, it's not looking good for hooten. Once I get the diagnosis showing there is nothing wrong with my truck and contact the manufacturer, I will be taking hooten to court They also told me they do not hold up to "mileage guarantee" warranties/ they do not supply these warranties. Do not do business here Yes they will sell you cheap tires and fix a flat, but anywhere will do that. When it comes down to actually needing help and replacing faulty tires, they won't help. EDIT This truly shows how rude and unprofessional they really are. 1. The tires that were removed from my truck were the ones that were on it when i purchased the truck used. Those tires lasted well over a year. Not 9 weeks like yours. 2. "brought to your mommys attention" Other individuals reaching out to you regarding poor customer service is out of my control and should not result in you being rude to me. I can't see the rest of the reply so I am assuming that it has been deleted, maybe it became even more rude. Update: Just learned that the tires they told Acima leasing they sold to me is not the same tires they put on my truck. Leaves me to wonder if the tires were financeable or if they were used. We discovered Hooten a few years ago when I was in desperate need of new tires and reallllly couldn't afford them. I am pretty sure I called every single tire shop in the area checking prices that time, and Hooten was a good amount less than anyone else I checked. I admit, I wasn't sure what to think when I pulled into their parking lot the first time. This certainly wasn't one of the big, "nicer" chain places I was used to. But I was quickly at ease as I walked inti their lobby area. Since that time, Hooten has become our go-to tire center. Their service is impeccable. As a woman, I appreciate that I've never been treated like a "dumb girl," despite clearly not knowing what I'm doing or talking about in this car world. I have to write this review as it should be addressed as I have read a similar review when this happened to me and I was given a partial refund for the cost I incurred from the damage done to my lugs when having my tires replaced here a couple years ago. The reason I am writing this now is because that when I had my tires rotated 3 more lugs that were damaged originally but were still used have now broken and cost me time and more money and the hassle I took the first time to get reimbursed was not worth it as the owners were on vacation and I had to deal with an employee that was not the easiest to deal with. I have had 3 sets of tires put on different vehicles however the last time whoever put them on was not properly trained and they stripped most all of my lugs causing a lot of cost and a whole day of my time which I was only reimbursed for the cost of my lugs. Had it been in a shop it would have costed me hundreds of dollars. Lucky I am doing this myself. I hope that you guys make sure you properly train your employees as to prevent anyone else from experiencing this. Also my tires from another SUV that were recommended and sold to me from the lady there also only lasted approximately 22,000 miles and she had told me they don't prorate because they are so cheap to begin with. For the cost of $500 plus and only 2 years of use that is not cheap. I can't recommend this business based on my last experiences. read more

We came here because we thought our tire popped and they were open late when we needed. All of the other places we called closed at 4pm, but this place was open later and they could help us immediately. We thought we just needed a new tire, which the dealership was going to charge a few hundred dollars for it. So we come here to get a tire and once they take it off, they show us that there was a problem with the rim instead. They refunded us immediately and sent us over to a guy who could fix out rim for the same price as the tired here, which is under $100. We called the dealership and they said $400 for one rim. They were super resourceful and gave us a lot of great information. Once we got the rim fixed, they put on the new tire for only $15. They are super affordable and I definitely recommend this place. I went to this tire place on 1/15/17. I bought 4 tired and had them put on. When I picked up my car it looked like they took it 4 wheeling. There was mud all over my car inside and out. I was so upset . I decided to call and let them know what happened. All I got was "I'm real sorry ma'am. I will look on the video camera to see who did it." like they have a camera. When you drop a car off for any kind of service, whether you spend $20 or $600, you expect people to respect your property. I will never go to that place again. Very disappointed. read more

I went into Hooten Tire Co and talked to Jesus. I explained to him that the tires that I purchased from him were rotten. He went out and looked at the tires, followed by the entire crew. . . they had to see this. Jesus explained that they had not sold those tires in eight years, and by the code they were sold more than ten years ago. I asked him if he could give me a smoking deal on four tires that were not rotten, and he sold me four for a little more than $300. I complained that the last ones cost less than $200 for four. . .
