Good, cheap, fast. If you're looking for a good meal budget friendly Hoots is the place. Very hard to find on Marco Island. Located inside a first floor nook a plaza. Place was super clean, decor was a tad dated, wasn't very busy during lunch. The pricing on the menu was noted how it didn't increase over time so they are obviously corning the value of their food. Honestly food was good I had the grouper sandwich-blackened. Was good on a fresh brioche bun. With lettuce tomato and red onion. I will say- the waitress did something so sweet! The kids meals come with a choice of fruit, but with a very newly named toddler there's some fruit that hard, honeydew, cantalope it's hard and difficult for a baby to eat. She came and told us she gave us strawberries and blueberries and a little bit of banana because it's hard sometimes for the young baby's to eat! We picked up breakfast to-go in the morning. Ordered the classic eggs Benedict and iced coffees. It was simple but yet oh so delicious. We've also had the breakfast burrito, which is my go to order. The pancakes are also yummy. And the hasbrowns are a must for the side, ask for them extra crispy! You know when you go to a breakfast place and you wish you would've made breakfast at home that would've tasted better? Well this is not that kind of place. Everything we've ordered from here is so good. The inside of the restaurant is so cozy and cute. It's always decorated for whichever holiday is coming up. All of the staff are so friendly and nice. Good delicious food. The portions are large, especially the omelets. They make delicious fluffy omelets. Iced tea is brewed fresh every morning and soooooo tasty not watered down. OMG I forgot to say they make their homemade bread and the rye is my favorite. You can call ahead and order a loaf if you want to buy and take one home. You won't be sorry you did. Great service, friendly, and accommodating. Some times there is a wait to get in especially after the churches let out. They serve breakfast and lunch and have daily specials on the board when you walk in. There is indoor and a few tables for outdoor service. I really don't want to post a negative review, but this was such a strange experience. We were seated right in front of the bathroom area (gross!) and server's area. I felt like the servers at the little area kept staring at us, and the place had a weird smell that reminded me of kitty litter. Interestingly enough, there was a cat or dog's bowl on the counter of the server's station. That was so odd! Anyway, this place was nothing like I had expected. I expected a really cute place frequented by tourists. Instead, there were mostly elderly folks who seemed to be regulars. The waitresses were a collection of younger and older. One reminded me of Flo from Mel's Diner on Alice (tv show) with her spunky attitude and flashy socks. Our server was a younger Hispanic lady with not much personality. When the food came, we were disappointingly underwhelmed. The eggs tasted like they had been mixed with milk and prepared with no seasoning. The bacon was very salty. My French toast tasted like plain, bagged sandwich bread (not challah or brioche!), and my companion said the pancakes looked and tasted like store bought pancakes that had freezer burn! This was our first time at Hoot's for breakfast but we will be back. We were greeted and seated quickly and the exceptional service continued. Our coffee cups stayed full and at just $2.50/order with unlimited refills it is a great bargain. Our breakfast orders arrived soon after our order was placed and we enjoyed every bite. Being a Jersey girl, I love a diner. And Hoot's is the next best thing down in Marco Island. Hoot's is almost too amazing for its own good, since no matter what time or day you go, you are almost guaranteed a wait. But it's worth it. The servers are so friendly and nice, and very accommodating, especially for the many, many (MANY) large groups of 6+ people that are dining in a relatively small indoor space. There are some outside tables, but those are only recommended during the winter months when the weather is more comfortable. While we waited for our food on our most recent visit, the kids were given Wiki Sticks and had a blast! They were making so many things that the servers brought over extra packets for them. The food is amazing, and incredibly consistent visit to visit. The Crunchy French Toast is the specialty, and there is always at least one order for the table. And I love my scrambled eggs and crispy bacon with either white or cinnamon raisin toast. read more

I came here for breakfast with a few friends while we were staying for a golf trip. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but it seems a lot of locals like it. The food was really good, we got a bit of everything and no one seemed to dislike what they received. I got a breakfast burrito that was pretty good, just a bit dry with the ingredients so I put some sauce and it was much better. Everyone was nice and treated us respectfully.
