Fantastic local diner with great breakfast and lunch options. They were very busy on a Saturday morning so the service wasn't that fast, but the food made it worth it. The prices are traditional diner cheap prices with large portions. This is a great alternative from a mediocre hotel breakfast.

The tropical chicken salad ($8.79) tasted great, was generously sized, and had a good portion of tasty, grilled chicken on mixed greens with a good variety of fruits, and a tasty dressing. The service was fast and attentive, while the dining area was clean and nice, with a nice 50's diner theme, four TVs, and retro background music. I also noticed a covered patio. Sweet!

As good as a diner can get. A friendly staff, tatsy coffee, touches like home made corned beef and topped off with reasonable prices.

Nice atmosphere and good food. I recommend giving Joe's a try. The biscuits and gravy and chili almond are phenomenal.

All sorts of promotional things were going on during this visit. A couple of DJs are doing a remote, and a one-man band is standing outside on a flatbed truck. They have a rather eclectic menu. I had a bacon burger, which was huge and good. Other items on the menu include a chicken parm sandwich, a meatball sandwich with pepperoni, fish and chips, and a T-bone steak. The food is very reasonable in today's inflation pricing.

There are a couple of tables with ashtrays outside, but we sat on the opposite end and could barely smell the smoke. There are two sides to the restaurant inside; one side is a small bar and seating area and the other side is a larger bar and seating area. We were there on a Monday night and the special was six dollar margaritas so we ordered one of those for each of us. For dinner, my wife got the Grilled Teriyaki Salmon with vegetables. The salmon was very good and the vegetables were good, but an unusual mix of cooked tomatoes, onions, and mushrooms. I opted for the Mango Rice Bowl with Blackened Chicken. That was a real winner! The chicken was very nicely flavored and the combination of flavors was fantastic. Service was efficient and prices are very reasonable.

BEST BBQ IN SWFL!!!…read more The servers, Jess and Chris, were very attentive and made us feel special. We went for my dad's birthday, and they made us feel like we were the only table in the restaurant. glasses were never empty, dirty plates were picked up quickly. it was phenomenal. They even brought us beignets for a happy birthday treat! The restaurant was quiet. It is definitely a hidden gem as it is unassuming in the strip mall plaza with the drive thru jimmy johns. 10/10 food. Next time, we will have to try the kangaroo!

Ive gone in a number of times, obviously id prefer a 1 on 1 conversation with her, but when the bar is full if you want to talk to her, be prepared for a group therapy session. The ambiance does produce a soothing subdued feeling even without any booze in you. the bar is usually full during season, in the offseason i still would recommend having a Happy Hour which im a proponent and promoter of at every establishment. However i wanted to wait until i tried a food item on the menu before writing a biased favourable review for her, as tantalizing the kangaroo looked on the dinner menu, i decided to go for Tom's Turkey sandwich at lunch for $23. I am a sandwich person, i do make them everyday, going in on i thought it would be a typical elongated food chain sandwich, and for the price would be a second serving the following day. the menu said it came with a side but looking at the sides i assumed the price would be extra, i wanted the fries after seeing them but was out of a price range for me to add on. I elected to go with cole slaw which was subpar, it would be better if it was gotten from Publix and scooping it into the ramekin. I didnt like the Tom's Turkey sandwich after getting through it while it deconstructed, i didnt know what i was eating to tell you the truth with an extra spice to it.
