Find this breakfast and lunch joint in the far corner of the shopping plaza. Midmorning on a weekday was busy with brunchers, yet we were seated right away to look over the extensive menu. I opted for the crab cake eggs Benedict; it comes with a small fruit cup and is a modest portion. Hubby opted for the BLT, which is large and comes with really excellent fries. Wish I could give 4.5 stars, this spot was almost perfect! My only notes are that it's a little greasier than I prefer and the prices are solidly average. Otherwise, great food and service! I got an omelet with Monterey Jack, peppers, tomato, and bacon (~$17). It came with toast and shredded hashbrowns (home fries, fruit, and other options can be subbed). My boyfriend got hot coffee ($2.50) and French toast with bacon ($~13 + ~$3.50). The total was around $35 before tipping. We were immediately seated and everything came out within 15 minutes of ordering. Our waitress was kind and attentive. She checked on us enough but not too much. Consistently great diner food with friendly service and quick delivery from order to table. The breakfasts are so good we decided to give them a try for lunch and again they delivered! During our week in Napels we ate here 3 times: 2 breakfasts 1 lunch and all were great diner experiences. When we were here a couple of years ago we had the same consistently positive experiences so I figured it was time to take a few minutes and give them a review. Standouts: they know how to consistently deliver proper soft poached eggs (plenty of diners mess those up). The corned beef hash is definitely made by them, really good, and not over salted at all. Great benedicts. And top notch raisin and rye toast. Definitely not the Waffle House bread suppliers here! My wife and I are grouper fans, and it's rare that we see a grouper sandwich when we're at home. Was Hoot's the best we've ever had in Naples? No but we've paid far more here for lesser ones. And I'd put them in the top 20%, especially given the value. Nothing special in the ambiance department but also nothing problematic. When Wifey and I went down to Marco Island for a quick vacation one of the places we wanted to try for breakfast was Hoot's. We read the reviews and knew it was a place we'd like. We were there fairly early and there was no wait so we were seated immediately, but the rush started about ten minutes later. Our waitress was fantastic, even as the place filled. Wifey ordered a simple scrambled eggs, bacon and biscuits breakfast and I had a short stack of their crispy French toast I had read so much about and a side of grits...we also had coffee of course. The food was excellent...especially the French toast. Wifey's meal was perfect with the bacon done crispy like she asked. Honestly, this meal was exactly what we were looking for the day we went. Because the Hoot's on Marco Island is a favorite, we wanted to try this sister restaurant in Naples. I actually prefer the parking situation at this location as well as the larger interior size of the Naples restaurant. But the Marco Island Hoot's is still the better of the two. In Naples, we arrived early on a weekday, since we know how busy breakfast places can get in this area. We had no problem getting seated inside right away, and were placed in a small nook in the back of the main room, which was a blessing and a curse. It was almost a private room for the five of us at a nice big table, but we also were a little invisible to the usual coffee refills because we weren't in a direct line of server traffic. There are also some tables outside, though its too hot and humid in the Florida summer to dine al fresco. The food was very good. I loved my scrambled eggs (firm, as requested) and the bacon was good but not as crispy as I was hoping. The others at the table enjoyed their eggs, pancakes and also the Crispy French Toast which is a Hoot's specialty. We'll be back! read more

It's by Staples. Service was fast enough, people were nice enough food was good enough and it's kind of charming but the tastiness of the food doesn't match up with the price. For example my burrito was $15 and it was just tortilla, 3 eggs and roughly chopped sausage with a side of potatoes. None of those ingredients are expensive it should have cost $8. Well it's a basic breakfast place. I stopped in there last weekend before going to my mom's house. I arrived to a very crowded restaurant, but found a single seat at the counter. I started with a coffee that tasted burn. It was like the pots hadn't been cleaned. However I pressed on with breakfast. I order 2 eggs scrambled, sausage links, hash browns and rye toast. It's a traditional breakfast and really something that you shouldn't be able to mess up. So when my breakfast arrived, I received about 5 scrambled eggs, 2 sausage links and home fries not hash browns. I didn't say anything or send anything back. I figured maybe that was their portion or the possible mix up between hash browns and home fries. It was busy so I understand. The scrambled eggs were over cooked and tasteless. Since there was a ton of them, it didn't help anything. The sausage links were ok and the breakfast potatoes I would skip all together. The service was mediocre at best. I don't understand the crowd because there are way better breakfast places in Naples. Save your money and try those other ones instead. read more

Nice little place for breakfast when out on a early motorcycle ride. Is your typical diner, don't expect anything fancy, just good old diner food. Lots of locals and regulars there all the time. First time for us as locals we usually eat at Skillets, Cracker Barrel, or other more known breakfast spots in Naples. We just happened to be in the area and noticed this diner in a corner of a shopping plaza and decided to try it. My first impression was it's very small inside, host was not friendly, and the place was more than half empty on a Saturday morning. I just should have went with my gut instinct and left but just went with it for my husband. While sitting there deciding what to order, I look over and see disgustingly dirty baseboards, so my eyes followed it around the restaurant and thick black dirt/crud is in all the crevices throughout the place and everything seemed less than clean or even like they take any pride in this place at all. Food was 1 out of 5. My husbands ham and cheese skillet was basically a whole bag of cheese dumped on top and was inedible. He ate his toast with some jelly. Hoot's is less of a Denny's and more of a Mom-and-Pop breakfast spot. The menu has the usual items, plus a few unexpected treats (like cinnamon raisin toast). I had coffee (avoid this - it tastes quite strange) and a seriously delicious "Bacon Skillet." The portions are large and the awesome toast is even larger. Our waitress was fantastic but some of the support staff was a little standoffish. The pink walls are out of place and there's a weird dark corner where we were initially seated. But the food is darn good. I wish there were more healthy options available on the menu. Barring that, it's a tasty breakfast option. read more

The hollandaise sauce lacked flavor, English muffin was not buttered or toasted, so soggy, poached egg had runny whites, crab cake was missing crab meat (I mean completely missing - it was bread crumbs with seafood seasoning) and the rest was fine, as is. A no thrills breakfast joint with great service. With that being said the food is mediocre at best. Breakfast is reasonably priced however just ok. I had scrambled eggs and bacon which were good. The bacon cooked crispy just as I had asked. The hash browns were blonde color with not taste and I requested crispy also the toast was dry and no flavor. In addition the pancakes too were chewy so I think they over stirred the batter making them tough. Again good service but the food I would give a C and with so. After, a couple unanswered questions about their Crab Cake sandwich I ordered their a Coffee and the Biscuits and Gravy. The food came out quick! It was giant and tasted fantastic!
