Really nice since it's only 12 and empty

I have to admit that I thought it was a cheap imitation of Hooters, until I tasted the exact recipe. Asking more questions I found out that it's the offspring satellite of Hooters and that although the concept is the same, the difference you will see is that there are no Hooters girls per say. Which is okay for me, as I am here for the beer and chicken wings. I was quite surprised that it was empty and I love the fact that the girls and guys are very accommodating and quite polite when you ask them for extras. I did like the fact that the recipe is exactly the same, so no hybrid taste there, nor experimenting with the original. The colors in the joint are exact but something is definitely different coming here, and that's not a bad thing. I rather enjoy a little bit of mystery. And please be mindful that you should pick up after yourself once you are done, of course they will do it for you but tip that way at least they know they are being appreciated. It seems no frills so go ahead and take your tray up to the receptacle and just show politeness, as I stated before this joint is not that big and just a satellite of the Hooters corporation. Did I tell you to try the fried pickles, please do and tell me what you think. And again I must say I am disappointed reading so much negativity on the staff, as the day I went in they were quite accommodating and very helpful with suggestions. They customer service actually put them to a 5 star and I can appreciate great service.

    So much foam!!!! Lol

Waited 19 minutes at the bar before anyone even looked my way. No one even asked would i like to order. Just kept bagging orders. No one knew how to pour a modelo on draft. Pretty sure this will be my last time coming to this hoots location. Had to come back to say one more thing... if you as a bartender poured a beer and made too much... why would you put the extra in a cup with a lid and then when your customer pays for another beer give them that beer your mistakenly over poured into a plastic cup that sat off to the side for a long time!!! Yeahhh no that sealed the deal. No longer a hoots consumer!

Not going to lie, we were pretty disappointed in trying this place for the first time. We ordered the 20 piece boneless wings for $17.99, and added the make a meal for $3.29. The fries were good, ranch was good. We chose the bbq flavor and also medium for the wings. They put a lot of bbq, which was good, but the medium wings hardly had any sauce. Also, the wings on top were bigger but on the bottom of the plate had very small wings. They were also cooked a little too long, which made some hard to chew. One wing had a weird bone or hard texture (picture will be attached). I wanted to like this place so bad because I love wings and their hooters medium sauce is amazing. :-(

    The menu.

Y'all Hoots is like if Hooters and Wingstop had a love child. It's adorable and I love it. So what's the difference between Hoots and Hooters? Well, for one, the menu is downsized. No more burgers, grilled cheese, and you only have the garden salad with the option of ranch or blue cheese. But they do give you the option to make your wings, buffalo chicken sandwich, ect. a meal for $2.99 more - sweet! They also brought back the 5 wing option. Honey thai sauce made the cut on sauces you can choose from, which I was thrilled about because I'll gladly use that on my salad in place of ranch (don't knock it until you try it!). The bar is downsized as well, you're give the option between 3 draft beers, a few bottles, a margarita, and red sangria. Another notable change is the uniform - the white tank and orange shorts are replaced by khakis and orange tees. So, overall, the ambiance is fast-casual. Great for a lunch break or just taking some wings home with you. Hoots is a new concept that i can see catching on! Give it a try, you won't regret it.

Don't waste time! The servers are rude and know nothing about the menu. Prices are jacked up for no reason. Food took a long time and was cold.

Got this delicious food here along with their Homemade sangria and it was delicious.

I made this reservation more than a month in advance and was genuinely excited when I finally snagged a table. Thankfully, the meal delivered. The space itself is exactly what I hoped for--minimal, chic, and effortlessly cool. Nothing feels overdesigned or trendy for the sake of being trendy. The menu is also refreshingly approachable. It's creative without being overwhelming, and there's enough variety that everyone can find something they'll love. Before I even get into the food, I have to give a huge shoutout to our server, Kona. She was absolutely incredible and deserves a raise. Attentive without hovering, knowledgeable without being pretentious, and genuinely invested in making sure we had a great experience. Service like that elevates an entire meal. The drinks were fantastic too. Strong, well-balanced, and with enough variety that there's truly something for everyone. I had both a Manhattan and an Old Fashioned, and neither disappointed. The Manhattan was bold and spirit-forward, while the Old Fashioned was exactly what I wanted--strong, slightly sweet, and the perfect companion to dessert. To start, we ordered the Pita & Dips, and thank goodness we did. The pita itself is enormous, warm, and beautifully prepared. The dips were fresh, vibrant, and packed with flavor. It's one of those dishes that seems simple on paper but ends up being one of the most satisfying things on the table. The famous Green Beans absolutely lived up to the hype. Kona came by and suggested pairing them with the halibut, which is exactly the kind of thoughtful service that makes a difference. She didn't have to do that, but she did, and she was right. The green beans were incredible--crunchy, savory, addictive, and somehow far more exciting than green beans have any right to be. I'd honestly come back just for this dish. The Pan-Roasted Halibut was another standout. Fresh, flavorful, and beautifully balanced. The acidity cut through the richness of the fish while the subtle sweetness tied everything together. It felt bright and refined without losing comfort-factor. The Goat Empanadas were exactly what fried food should be. Crispy, flavorful, and impossible to stop eating. Sometimes restaurants try to overcomplicate things, but this dish succeeded because it simply executed the fundamentals perfectly. Then came the Roasted Pig Face, which might have been the most fun dish of the night. Mixing everything together transformed the plate into something completely different from its individual parts. The textures were fantastic, and the potatoes added an element I wasn't expecting but thoroughly enjoyed. It's playful, creative, and a perfect example of why Girl & the Goat became famous in the first place. And then dessert happened. We ordered the Popcorn Situation, and I now understand why people talk about it. The combination of sweetness, saltiness, creaminess, and crunch somehow works perfectly. That cake, the cheese component, the salty notes - everything came together in a way that sounds unusual on paper but tastes absolutely incredible. Overall, Girl & the Goat lives up to its hype. I'll 100% be back

(And this review is honest and not like there was a personality issue. In fact, they were super nice there. All of them). But the food fell short big time. The chef focuses more on technique than taste. He uses liquid nitrogen that wows people when the fog spills out from the open kitchen, etc. But when the food arrived both my wife and I thought we had contracted Covid and lost our taste buds. Thankfully no Covid but the plates kept coming with hardly any taste. They served a very rare bird......called a pigeon, swathed in so much curry it left a solid after taste that even the expensive non-impressive wine flight couldn't wash down. (They need a sommelier stat). The chef greets a common table of 16 with an grandiose tale along with each course, trying to spin a good yarn of how his food is a happy dance to your mouth. Pro tip....food should sell itself. And not one person sitting at the communal table was heard saying "wow! This is great!). The only redeeming course was the chocolate ice cream at the end. To top it off, they give you a wrapped hot dog to take home as a parting gift as to say "I'm sorry." I mean, what are we to do with a damn hot dog? Take it home, put it in the fridge and have a soggy hot dog the next day? Oh well....for over $400 for 2 people you can have far better options. Hopefully the chef will get better trained on taste versus presentation. I was so rooting for this place but sadly only walked away with a hot dog that we could have eaten as the first course and the bag itself as the remaining course and it would have tasted the same. Just trying to save you from an expensive night. Go elsewhere and enjoy Chicago!

The kalbi-style flavor profile felt somewhat familiar (almost like an elevated Trader Joe's frozen kalbi), but the accompanying kohlrabi and Korean melon were unexpectedly refreshing and ended up being one of my favorite components on the plate. The standout for us was actually the Half Chicken a la Brasa. Crispy skin, juicy meat, and somehow all the different flavor influences -- ginger scallion, aji verde, yuca -- came together very well. The yuca itself was excellent. We happened to see the chef and had the privilege of chatting with him for a few minutes. He was incredibly warm and down to earth. When we mentioned how interesting the chicken dish was, he laughed and said it was basically "everything in the fridge," which somehow made us appreciate the dish even more. For dessert, we ordered the Satsuma Verrine and loved it. The meringue on top was the sweetest component, while the whipped cream stayed light and fresh. The bottom layers combined citrus jelly and maybe curd where you could actually taste the fruit itself. A very elegant and balanced ending to the meal. Debating between 4 and 5 stars. If 4.5 were an option that's what I would pick lol
