Hi, I'm a local (nine years now) and came here with an out-of-town friend. Bartender was friendly but upon introspect (i.e., reviewing the receipt) he played us for tourists. This occurred well over a year ago (09.27.24 to be exact) so hopefully he has moved on. Bartender described himself as a "professor" of all things beer and blabbed on and on about this and that. We were drinking and enjoying a framboise lambic that I regularly have at home. He said well if you like that you have to give this a try. So, we did. He didn't mention the cost and we didn't ask. The lambic we were were drinking cost $14 per bottle/glass. We ordered ONE bottle of his recommended beer "Framboise 2022" (which was not as good as the $14 one we were drinking, btw), at a cost of $35. We were heading to a show so when the bill came we were in a hurry so paid it without reviewing it. Our bad, but much more so the bartender's as he ensured 1) a larger bill for the owner, and 2) a bigger tip for himself. I have meant to stop by to discuss with the owners but the opportunity has not presented itself. I like the place and will possibly return but never again will I be pegged a ringer for a "clueless tourist", there or anywhere in LV! It's like stepping back to the seventies. It was Déjà vu until I realized there was no cigarette smoke and the carpet wasn't sticky from stale spilled drinks. The decor is perfect for a trip through time. There's a huge variety of beer between the on tap and bottled. It's the old school order at the bar and take your drinks to the table. Bartender was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The beer was served in the proper glassware. The decor has an incredible number of vintage signs, promotional displays, clocks, etc. some for beer brands no longer made. There is also a huge beer can collection. It's a very nice breaking from blinding flashing lights and loud music. Tip: From the outside you will think you're on the wrong street. There's no sign, flashing lights, folding message boards, etc. Open the door by the 222 and step into yesteryear with a modern supply chain. It's worth a visit. read more

Y'all get a gold medal, very much surpass the silver. For some reason people don't like to leave the strip or the Fremont area when just $7 uber you can be in the arts district. It's an up and coming neighborhood with so many of my favorite kind of businesses, like delicious restaurants and vintage shops. And of course, a great comfortable neighborhood spot to take a load off and enjoy a great, cold beer. I couldn't believe this place. We had a very long day running all over town and it was just the most perfect place to unwind. Of course, we walked in and every spot was taken. And we were here early, like maybe 7ish. Luckily somebody got up as the beers were still being poured. Wow! I loved Ayinger "Bavarian Pils" and they had it on tap. I found the prices reasonable. The vibe was some sort of single dad basement man cave in the midwest and that's what I loved about it. The beer selection here really could not be beat. And coming from NY, you noticed, people are not on their phones, they're actually talking and laughing. There's an old timey feel here that my boyfriend and I just adored. It made us really appreciate the direction Vegas is going. It's so nice to see the community and the locals. We had to toss a couple back even though we had an early flight. read more

I just got transported back to the 70s. Inside Barnaby Jone's man cave. The dark, damp and pleasantly air-conditioned atmosphere. The wood paneling. The vintage beer sign displays. Walls of beer cans. The Al Green tunes mixed with the Ventures surf tunes. Love it! And the beer selections are amazing, too. I had the #17 Pfriem West Coast IPA from Hood River, OR. I liked it: the people with me less so. We only had one drink. Service didn't hang on you (as it shouldn't in a bar of this sort) and it's a dive bar (but an interestingly decorated one - kinda feels like my friend's dad's basement in Indiana in the Seventies). It's hard to imagine the Las Vegas beer scene without The Silver Stamp. It feels like overnight they went from the local beer geek's secret to arguably one of the best beer bars in the US, but the bar hasn't lost its charm, level of service or quality and variety of beer. I would place them as a European centric beer bar, focusing on the styles the owners, Rose & Andrew, know and love the most, and branching out into unique offerings from there. There's always Reissdorf Kolsch, Guinness, an IPA and a classic American lager on draft, but the list can vary heavily from there ranging from local collaborations to Cantillon. The bottle and can list tends to be sizable given the size of the bar, and sometimes they have a separate event-centric can/bottle menu for Oktoberfest, Halloween, Christmas, etc. The bar overall has a very homey feel, lots of wood paneling, comfortable seats, string lights and tons of breweriana adorning any remaining available wall or counter space. During Christmas and Halloween, they go all out with the decorations, so it's worth visiting in October and December to see how fun the bar is. Service is spot on, the correct glassware is always selected to match the beer style you order, and the bar staff are some of the nicest and most knowledgeable in beer in town. If you're a fan of beer, this is a must stop in Las Vegas. Period. read more

We love a dive bar! There's not too many in Vegas but this place literally feels like your grandparents' basement. Wood paneling's everywhere. Christmas lights. It really makes you feel at home. We grabbed a table towards the back of the bar but I seriously loved this bar so much. It was our last stop of the evening but I would definitely come back here again when I'm not so tired and ready to go home haha. Seriously such a cool bar. Staff working was really nice too and the drinks were great. There was definitely a line at the bar, but whatever. It was first Friday so it was packed! At first glance, walking up to this bar feels like you're stumbling upon a hidden gem-it's just a door surrounded by stickers, giving off total hole-in-the-wall vibes. But the inside? Completely different-and I absolutely love that contrast! It's a small, cozy spot with a great selection of craft beers. The place is clean, comfortable, and the bartenders are friendly and really know their stuff. I was a little surprised at first by how much head was on the beers, but it turns out they're pouring them properly to the line, which is actually how many craft beers are meant to be served. Still, sometimes the head can be a little too generous (looking at you, light beer in the photo). Great little hole in the wall bar just off Main Street in DTLV. I took Kyle out for some barhopping for his 30th birthday and The Silver Stamp was on our list of places to go to. Outside, a security guard is checking IDs, so be sure to have yours out and ready upon approaching this place. The inside is your average bar - dim, intimate, and finished with a disco ball right on the ceiling. We found a table in the back of the bar, where we looked at their extensive menu. They serve draft beers and beers straight from the bottle or can. Be sure to order at the bar after looking over the menu. Kyle got a System of a Stout (a play of the band System of a Down) spiced coffee imperial stout with a hint of whiskey from out of the can, which was brewed from Beachwood Brewing. I ordered some draft beer that was brewed with raspberries in it, I don't remember the name of it. Their draft menu rotates frequently, but I know that it was #10 on the draft menu at the time of our visit. The beer that I had was more of a dry-aged beer, which obviously included a hint of raspberries. The imperial stout's whiskey flavor had that spicy feel to it once it was activated on his palate. Both were strong beers, hence why we got these in smaller glasses. Since the beer I had a was a little strong for me, I didn't rush to finish it. This was a great bar to go to! On a crawl in the area we stopped in, great spot. Time stops, solid dark dive for a hot day. Good selection of beers on tap as well as the menu was good for a quick snack. This was my favorite place we went in Vegas! We found it on accident after shopping in the arts district. You walk in and feel transported to a vintage Wisconsin dive bar. This a great hidden gem! I had a bartender tell me this is the go-to for locals even though it is also popular with out-of-town visitors. There is no signage to let you know you're in the right place except one that says "Open" with their hours. When you walk in, it has a dive feel with eclectic decorations everywhere. The beer selection is unique. I had a Gueuze beer which I've never had before and it was great! Bruce knew his stuff and was so nice! I am so glad we sought this place out on our last trip to Vegas. It lives up to the hype as being a beer-drinker's bar reminiscent of everyone's favorite watering hole, no matter where you're from. The vintage decor was fun--I loved all the old-timey signs, figurines, and pictures. The beer selection was excellent and Bruce made us feel at home as he filled us in on the history of the joint. This is my go-to place whenever I'm in Vegas. I'm not really a "Vegas" kind of guy, but I always have a great time here. The staff is fantastic, and there's often something entertaining going on, whether it's a newly married couple stopping by for photos with a backdrop of vintage beer cans or people squeezing in one last drink and calming their nerves ahead of matrimony. Why go to the packed Vegas clubs with one-word names like Tao, Jewel, Marquee, Drai's, Omnia, Chateau, Conceit, ATM, or Ostentation, where you'll face long lines, extended waits, expensive covers, pricey drinks, misleading promotions, and rude bouncers, when you can chill out with the locals instead? Silver Stamp is one of a few unpretentious bars in the Arts District. It reminds me of our old, dark garage with couches and an upside-down lamp hanging from the rafter, which served as a hangout for my fellow latchkey Gen X kids (minus the ping-pong table). The biggest compliment I can give this quirky, cozy, seventies-snuff-film bar is that it feels like what the kids from the Goonies might have opened if they used what was left of the treasure after saving their homes. We came over to The Silver Stamp at the recommendation of a friend last weekend. What a great bar! He described it as "Walking into a bar in the 80s, just without the smoke", and I don't think there's ever been a more accurate description of a bar. Its dark, but not super divey dark. The walls have that 70s/80s style wood paneling, and there are strings of holiday lights on the ceiling ala Stranger Things. I fell in love right away. They also have a great selection of beers!!! We stuck around and had a couple of drinks, all pretty damn reasonably priced, especially for being downtown. The bartender we talked with (I wish I remembered his name) was super knowledgeable, and very friendly. All in all, this is a great place to pop in for a drink or two!! Came here for a birthday pub crawl, this place is so unique! My husband said it reminded him of dive bars in the Midwest! The paneled walls and all old the beer signs took me back to my parents house in the 70's! I tried the pickle beer, it was definitely pickle tasting and was different from any beer I've ever had! They have a very extensive beer menu for being a " dive bar". I really liked the " vending machine " filled with mystery gifts, and I loved the egg hatching chicken!
