I've always been a Hopdoddy fan but just don't eat it often since it's not necessarily the healthiest! I LOVE their Brussels sprouts that are shredded and served crispy. We got them for takeout and they were still outstanding even when we got home. I've also recently had their chicken sandwich and it was tasty as well. read more

Hopdoddy brings back a lot of memories of being one of the first burger places I tried when I moved to dallas. People hyped it up! Haven't had it in such a long time. It still hits! Got the El Diablo ($11), their spicy burgers with jalapenos and habaneros and chipotle aioli sauce. I appreciate that the cashier asked if I wanted everything on it.. I ordered the truffle parm brussels sprouts and a side of "sweet" fries (sweet potato). The fries were really good, I wish they had ranch as a dipping sauce, but the ketchup was fine. The fries were warm and crisp on the outside, but soft on the inside. The brussels were extremely oily. It tasted like every bite was 50% oil and 50%. My stomach felt like a garbage can afterwards. The service was good, and the restaurant was pretty clean. We were offered free milkshakes, which was really nice! I would return and likely just get a veggie burger and fries. read more

I want to love this location because Hopdoddy's food is genuinely amazing, but I'm writing this review out of sheer frustration hoping it reaches the GM or someone who can actually address this ongoing issue. I come here almost every week and order the same exact thing each time. Without fail - and I mean EVERY single time, whether I'm ordering in-person or through DoorDash - they forget a minimum of 2 sauces that I specifically pay for on the side. At roughly $1 per sauce, I've easily lost $30-$40 at this point just in missing items I've paid for. This isn't a one-off mistake. This is a consistent pattern over months of orders. I keep coming back because the food itself is that good, but it's incredibly disappointing to get home (or receive a delivery) and realize yet again that part of my order is missing. To management: please implement a better system for checking orders before they go out. Whether it's a checklist, double-checking tickets, or additional training for staff, something needs to change. Your food deserves better quality control, and your paying customers deserve to actually receive what they're charged for. This was my third and final visit. The meat on the burger wasn't hot, there was no cheese on my cheeseburger, the GLUTEN-FREE bun fell completely apart, after being promised all three visits that it wouldn't, (yes, I returned three times!), and the door was propped open to no apparent work being done, and it was chilly. The manager came over but did nothing but told me she made the buns herself today and has never heard any complaints. With so many places to choose, I will forgo this place. read more

For my first visit, we both tried the standard burger with white American and bacon added. The burger and the bun has good flavor but the burger was a little dry even though it was cooked properly. Came here for Linner hehe - the ambiance was nice. Servers were friendly and respectable. Checked in on us a few times, even brought extra requested condiments to the table. Ordered the El Bandito Veggie Burger along with the Hot Honey & Sage Sweet Potato fries - and that meal was quite delectable. The proportion size was great. Came here on a weekday during the lunch rush and it was jam packed but managed to grab a seat. At this place you get into line and if you're dining in you get assigned a seat number which you hand off when you place your order at the counter, which I thought was a good concept to follow. That way no one's holding seats while someone else is already ahead in the line to place their order. The ambiance is casual and the staff are friendly. I got a seat at a booth which was pretty comfortable. The food takes a little bit of time compared to other places whipping up burgers and fries, but I don't mind especially if everything is made to order including the fries. I ordered the Impossible Cheesesteak, which comes with the Impossible plant based patty served with toppings that include provolone and swiss cheese, peppers, onions, mushrooms, mustard and sauce. The menu also mentioned you can make it vegan where they substitute the sauce and cheese with vegan alternatives. I got it with a side of fries, which I thought lacked seasoning so were very bland and a little bit inconsistent because some were done way over and others were fine. The cheesesteak itself also suffered from the same seasoning deficiency and I'd have appreciated it more if everything had been seasoned separately instead of relying on the salt from the cheese. The Impossible patty itself was cooked to perfection, the cheese melty and the peppers, mushrooms and onions sang in unison. I love this place. Burgers are thick, juicy and delicious! The parmesan truffle fries are LIFE! I always go to the Addison location but I visited this location because it was close to my church on a Sunday evening. Parking is ample; there is a garage if you can't get a spot on the street. I gotta be honest here because we did not have a good experience at this location. So right when I walked in and stood in line, I turn around to the bar area to see a bartender (she had short ombre blond/brown hair) making those delicious nutella milkshakes. However I catch her sticking her index finger in her mouth after some nutella got on her hands (mind you she didn't have any GLOVES ON). After she licked her finger, she proceeded to close the tub of nutella and pouring the milkshake into the cup without washing her hands. I'm watching all this in shock because I was so disgusted. I wanted a milk shake but NOPE, that bartender had to ruin it for me. If you have an open kitchen, we can all see what you do! Another issue occurred when I asked for well done burger and got a medium burger. I was so hungry at that point, I didn't care to take it back however my friend who has cancer ordered the same thing I did and can't eat rare meat. She requested a well done burger specifying that she couldn't eat rare/pink meat. Guess what...they brought her a medium cooked burger and it was all pink so we had to send it back which took an extra 10 minutes to redo. I have tried Hopdoddy twice. The first time, my meat was not cooked all the way through and was pink inside. The meat was so greasy that my bottom bun was completely soggy. I thought perhaps I had just had a random bad experience so decided to try it again. I first ordered a veggie burger (which I typically like from Chili's, Gazeebo Burgers, etc). It was awful. An employee noticed my dislike and offered to replace it with a regular burger. I appreciated that. While this burger was completely cooked, it was still very greasy and the bottom bun was very mushy. So, I do not recommend the burgers, but I give one star for great customer service. read more

I still love this place. It's one of my favorite go-to burger spots. Decided to dine in with a friend (who has Celiac) who was craving their burgers with a gluten-free bun. Of course, I got the magic shroom burger. Angus Beef, Texas Goat Cheese, Field Mushrooms, Mayo, Basil Pesto, Lettuce, Tomato, Onion (890 calories) for $8.95. It's literally my favorite burger they have because the flavors mix so well together. I'm currently on the Keto diet, and it was easy to sub the buns for a lettuce wrap at no extra cost! They also allow you to make your burgers a double with an extra patty for only $2.75 more! A great deal. I also tried some of their chipotle aoili sauce it was simply divine a perfect pair for my keto friendly burger with double patty and no bun, tomato, or onions. My friend tried the Llano Poblano which has Angus Beef, Steakhouse Bacon, Pepper Jack, Seared Poblanos, Chipotle Aioli, Lettuce, Tomato, Onion (9.25) with a gluten free bun. It looks like it was an egg bun that's made fresh daily. It did start to fall apart after a few bites, but my friend was VERY happy with it still and really enjoyed the flavor! No complaints here!! I also decided to try their Thai Kale Salad and it was such a mistake. It was not what I expected at ALL. It has Roasted Peanut Vinaigrette, Kale, Cabbage, Mint, Basil, Cashews, Green Onion, Chile Flakes ($8.00). I could only take two bites before stopping. The peanut vinaigrette was NOT my cup of tea, so i suggest asking for a sample of the dressing before ordering if you're not familiar with this dish. Otherwise, it appeared to be a well made dish- just not for me with the flavor of the dressing. The service is ALWAYS 110% The staff are very attentive and thorough, I so appreciate their willingness to customize our orders and accommodate our needs. Management is excellent as well. It's honestly such a great, wholesome place to sit down and enjoy a delicious meal (and a drink!) I recommend them highly! read more
