I just love Village Burger! Friendly staff and chill vibes always. I come here whenever I'm craving a turkey burger and they never disappoint. The Southwest Turkey is my favorite, and I always add a fried egg white for the extra protein. I tried their double sweet potato fries (added cinnamon + honey) for the first time and it was delicious. A fulfilled dining experience per usual.
When I came in this place was packed which I knew was a sign it must be good. I decided to build my own burger and I got the trio which consists of sweet potato fries, regular fries, and onion rings. Service was good and my food came out pretty quickly. The sweet potato fries were amazing. The onion rings were just too big in my opinion and had alot of breading on them so I would not get those again. The burger was phenomenal and cooked perfectly. I think I have found my new favorite burger spot.
Location Uptown just off McKinney Parking Street, lot Atmosphere Burger bar Seating Inside/outside tables Service Order at the bar-food brought to table-drinks served immediately Menu Adult happy meal-yeah!!! Served with a choice of adult beverages-get the dirty Shirley! Burgers, drinks, fries, salads. My husband recommended the mediterranean salad. We split the salad with chicken-so yum! Perfect sized fried chicken squares! We had blue cheese vs ranch-not a problem. Really good. Happy hour menu and daily specials! Summary My husband liked the Inwood location and recommended we try this location. So yum!!! Great service, super menu, awesome specials!!
I'd come here again just for the fries! The burger was okay (just average), but the truffle shoestring fries and sweet potato fries were amazing. I also like how you order at the front counter, take a number, and then seat yourself. Our food came out quick and the staff is quick to clean the tables when people are done.
Loved this place but they Double changed my card now have to dispute the charges and get a whole new card. Was told to call back today and now they can't find the second charge. Do not pay with cards here. Also tried calling from my number and wouldn't go through but called on a different phone and it went through...
The value here is great! We got two solid burgers (Dougie and Better Cheddar) and delicious fries for what was a great price. There are better burgers out there but at the price and convenience, it is hard to beat. They have a nice casual ambiance inside as well as a patio looking at the West Village. We will definitely come back.

I've been seeing this restaurant close to where I'm working, and I wanted to go in and try and I finally found time today. It's a cute little restaurant called the Village burger bar. It was cute from the outside with its little porch. And it was nice on the inside too. The men displayed above the bar, and you order and then the give you a number to take a seat and then your order is delivered to you if you decide to get it to go it comes in a little, but they're calling adults. Happy meal packaging. Which is a paper box with peaked roof like you see it so many restaurants. So I walked up and I ordered the crispy honey chicken sandwich, and I decided to add an order of double sweet potato frys and it's coated in cinnamon and drizzled honey. And then I got an unsweet tea. I filled my tea with the apricot Chardonnay tea flavor. And then had a seat at a nice table to await my food. They gave me a number on a pole so they could find me.. it came very quickly. And it was beautiful and tasted great too. I really enjoyed it and after eating some of the fries, I decided I really needed something dipped them in. They were a little dry and too much cinnamon on them, so they suggested to me the honey mustard would be good. And it was a good call. It really helps the fries which were tasty on their own. Be elevated to perfection. I enjoyed my dinner and when I was done, I got up and left. It was very tasty and I will probably be back to try another of their burgers.
My gf and I were craving burgers and decided to stop by for an early lunch side we're new to the neighborhood. On entrance, we were greeted by a nice young lady who advised we could order when we were ready. You order at the counter, take a number and your meal will be brought out to your table. Since it was such a beautiful day, we decided to grab a two top right out front. We both decided to build our own burger with various toppings and share a trio basket. We also ordered a glass of Sauvignon Blanc and a tequila mule. Everything was fresh and portions were perfect. The only con was that the onion rings were cooked a bit too much and were extremely crunchy. To the point that there was almost no onion and all batter. Otherwise, this is a solid burger spot and we'll be back!
I came here for lunch a couple of times now, once meeting a group of 10 people. It's not a huge place but they can definitely accommodate a group that big. They have a lot of options for customizing your burger or you can order from the presets. In any case, between beef, chicken and turkey you're covered. Its self order and the staff is generally friendly. My meals have been pretty solid here both times. Nothing spectacular but it's good enough that i wouldn't mind coming back.
Service was great and the food was good as usual. We sat outside but the flies were terrible. Not sure why but it was hard to enjoy the patio because of this reason. The drinks are really good and the drink specials are inviting. It's good to know that they stay open late in case we're ever looking for a late night meal.
First off - for a casual venue, the service and servers were impeccable, helpful, and just lovely people. They know their menu and are keen to help their clientele with options and suggestions. I enjoyed the portobello mushroom and swiss sammie in a lettuce wrap. Delish! Like a warm and cool stacked salad. Will definitely order again. The ladies room was impeccably clean as was the restaurant overall. A fun, neighborhood spot that I will definitely recommend and visit again. Support this local gem! read more

Had a delicious village turkey burger. The turkey was tender and juicy. Tried the onion rings as my side. They were delicious, but huge! Staff were great. Usually no street parking will be available, so it is typically much easier to park in the parking garage. read more

It wasn't bad, but maybe I should have at least ordered a burger patty with my salad, since it is a burger place. The 85 year old I had with me doesn't normally eat big meals so I ordered her the popcorn chicken. It was just ok and there was more than she would eat for a fair price. Staff was friendly, but the guy, taking my order at the register didn't know a lot of the answers to my questions. That doesn't really bother me, but don't tell me if you don't know. At least be honest and say I'm not sure. Or let me ask.I have a seed oil sensitivity so I asked if the chicken was already marinated or plain needing to be cooked. He told me plain and the guy at the other register corrected him. My salad was ok. Picked out a lot of the romaine core. I asked for the dressing on the side and they put it on the salad. If we had not been pressed for time, I would have returned it. This isn't me for or against this place, but our experience. Best to stick with the burger. read more

Village Burger Bar changed my life. Let me paint you a picture. Today was supposed to be the last. I was on my way to take my last breath and then my tummy grumbled... Conveniently, I look up at what could easily be mistaken as the pearly gates heaven. It was Village Burger Bar! I decide if it's going to be my last, why not give it a try. As soon as I walk in I'm greeted by this absolute angel of a person. She happily takes my order without hesitation (it's just what i needed). I finally felt understood. I ordered the Truffle Fries and the Onion Rings, a meal of my childhood. I never understood love at first bite... until now. The onion rings were even better than my late wife. They had this golden glow to them that made me reconsider my juvenile ways. This was a meal worth living for, and suddenly... I realized this is what life is worth living for. 5 Stars Village Burger Bar. - sincerely a man who needed a good meal ps. i miss my wife. pps. these rings make me miss her a little less. read more
This experience was just ok. The burger was ok. The meat was a little chewy for my taste and the bacon was hard. I love tiny shoestring fries but if they are not served fresh from the grease they taste stale and mine were not served fresh. The best thing I had was a cherry limeade. Overall I found it to just be ok. read more

Nothing stood out to be about village burger bar. The prices were very reasonable but for what it was made to sound (the menu hype) I don't think it lived up to expectations. The burger patty was apparently a famous recipe but was not great. The village sauce, their in-house speciality sauce, and their various aiolis were not great. The food itself came pretty quickly. Individuals order and pay at the front so there isn't much waiter/waitress interaction. The place itself was very clean and had homey decor. However it felt like any other burger place. Not a bad experience, but not a particularly special one either. I would recommend trying somewhere else. read more

This location was in a pretty up beat neighborhood, which wasn't bad, you can sit out doors or inside and feel comfortable. The servers made me feel welcomed which is a good sign. You order at the bar area and they take your food to you, which is ok, just like many other popular burger restaurants. Now the food was pretty pricey I am not going to lie, everything was presented in an amazing fashion. The appetizers were amazing! We had a cheese dip and fried cheese which were really good! Now the burger itself wasn't bad. I had ordered a double with grilled onions, mushrooms, jalapeños and cheese. But the vegetables weren't really grilled at all which made me feel bummed out. The burger I felt lacked seasonings, which I should've just added a simple salt and pepper to it. The fries were really good though, they were truffle Parmesan fries, and they stood out more than the burger itself. To me the burger wasn't bad, not my favorite, but not hated at all. I would give it a shot as the burger was cooked on a char grill due to the flavor. I would recommend trying it and seeing how you feel. We encountered many others who are regulars here and utterly enjoy the place. read more

Didn't even ID me when ordering alcohol. Asked if the buffalo sauce was vegan. They said yes. ITS NOT. It doesn't even taste like buffalo sauce. Super upset. Asked them to remake the entire sandwich for my vegan SO. The pickles are great and so are the sweet potato fries without the cinnamon/honey. If you like sweet then go for it. The turkey burger (custom) was good but a little dry. My SO had the mushroom burger and it's apparently juicy and has good flavor (when customized). read more
