BEWARE! Hostile and confrontational owner at this establishment. For background, I came in alone with my wife in the car wanting to make sure it was a clean place to eat (we are on a road trip) and then went to wash my hands. Upon exiting the restroom door and heading to get my wife I found an angry, rotund, late-sixties man (owner) standing in front of the door blocking the exit and glaring at me. The first words out of his mouth were "Are you going buy something, you dick?" At the point I definitely wasnt going to spend any money at this establishment. The owner continued being hostile and name calling and yelling for me to leave. Also establishment was dead empty, not one customer and the soap dispenser was also empty. The best in the area for sure. 4 stars because of the chicken parm sub, which should really be 3 stars or less. First of all, breaded chicken strips on the sub, like you would find topping a salad. Strips were overcooked/dry and stringy - definitely not sliced "against" the grain which might have helped. Think they used leftover from lunch salad strips. Too much bread, too little chicken and tasteless cheese melted over it all. Stick with the pizza. Their slices are offered in a large variety and just plain good. read more

I had stayed in woods through AIRBNB in Columbia, NJ and we don't had much options for dinner nearby. We found this. Luckily it was open and about to close. It was run by local folks claiming best pizza you ll ever have. There were 3 small tables for having pizza over there. We ordered garlic bread and one large chicken ranch pizza. Garlic bread was full of salt and when we complained, server was " we make it like that way only".huhh ? Even pizza was little salty but as we were hungry, we ate half of the pizza and packed the rest. Pizza was okay. As this is only place nearby I guess, so it is famous over there. It is the only game in town for pizza, but it usually comes out pretty good prices are reasonable and I like the people that run it.

The pizza was delicious. The slice of chicken, bacon something that I got was very tasty and delightfully oversized. Far, far better than I ever expected from a roadside pizza parlor. The service? Well, maybe they were giving me my space rather than hovering over me. I think that's how they'd characterize it. A more critical characterization would be that the 20 something employees were too busy talking and laughing with their friends to notice that a customer had walked in. But we'll be generous and let that slide. The pizza is awesome and it gives you an excuse to stretch your legs and to check out the cool wine shop next door. Ordered here on a Saturday night for pickup. They got almost everything right (I asked for lettuce on my buffalo wrap and they didn't put any). However, as another reviewer mentioned, it was still very good! Everyone who ate their meal was satisfied. We ordered spicy Chile wings on a whim and they were tasty. My three year old housed her Mozzarella sticks (which means they passed her finicky eating test). Can't wait to order from them again! read more

We just moved to Hope and needed a yuck dinner so we ordered a pizza from Hope Pizzeria. Unfortunately, we were terribly disappointed in this pizza. It was so overwhelmed with garlic, that's all we tasted. I like garlic but when it's the only flavor it's not good. We would like to give it another try but we wonder how we could order minus the garlic. read more

We tried the specialty slices, great selection, friendly staff and the restaurant was very clean. I also loved that they had the most amazing selection of beverages to choose from. Somehow I was in Hope, NJ and was really hungry. It is a really small town and this place makes a decent pizza. They have a ton of toppings on the pies and many of them also have celery on it. I thought it was a little strange, but my dislike of celery has changed recently. This place hit the spot and if you are ever around this town I would say go for it. read more

In the area, this is the best pizza joint around. I highly suggest their pepperoni pizza. Their crust is crispy, but still foldable. Also their deep dish is very delicious. Occasionally they'll make specialty pies, and their Philly cheesesteak one was amazing. read more

Great food in an unprepossessing place. The greek salad was fresh, delicious and perfectly dressed. The chicken soup with dumplings was AMAZING. Could have eaten a dozen dumplings! The pizza was a very good NY style. Not fancy pizza, but a straight-ahead good pie like you will find all over NYC, but you get it here in Hope! To me, the crust was ever so slightly undercooked, but other pies looked to have slightly darker crust, so our experience may not be representative. The place is not really well set up for eating in. It was cold tonight and in the seating area, so we left our coats on. The soup served in cardboard "bowl." The owner is a gem! Super nice, friendly, helpful, mellow. Asked what slices they had, when told they had chicken bacon ranch I asked for one to go. As I went home and opened the bag it was a buffalo chicken slice. This is not the first time I have ordered something and have received something different. With that being said whatever you do order, even if you do get the wrong item, it always is very good. Hope Pizzeria and catering just catered a party at my bother-in-law's and it was fabulous! All the food was done to perfection, the staff was professional and super friendly!
