I would definitely recommend this pizza. We stopped by while in the area (beautiful area by the way) and ordered a large pepperoni pie at the counter. The nice man made our pizza fresh to order in about 15 minutes and let us use the clean restrooms while we waited. So glad we stopped here, the pizza tasted amazingly fresh with the perfect amount of pepperoni. Was a beautiful day so we ate outside on the hood of the car. Seriously disappointed. I haven't ordered from Roman's in over 18months. I have always recommended their eggplant sub. Not anymore. The eggplant was sliced so thin that the breading/flour-bread crumb coating was almost thicker. It was greasy too. Couldn't even tell it was eggplant. Also had a grilled chicken sub. 1/2 of the meat was dry, crispy, way overcooked. The other half was tasty for sure, but overall a disappointment. Stopped in to grab a quick turkey sub today and wasn't to happy, I ordered a turkey and cheese cold sub, I watched from the counter when a younger kid in the kitchen seemed to be struggling to make my sub, he ended up wrapping it up and the man behind the counter was about to come over and hand it to me but walked back and unwrapped the entire sub and seemed to have forgot something? The issue Is, he is the one who took my card and took dirty cash from another man and proceeded to walk over and put his hands into my sub without washing his hands,After waiting 10 minutes I got the sub and got 2 bites in and couldn't eat anymore, one of the most mediocre subs I have ever had and went straight in the garbage, not happy about wasting 14 dollars! The man who handed him cash made a remark to me saying "this is place is amazing" and I couldn't disagree more, don't come here! read more

I love New York style pizza and Italian foods and Roman Pizza does both very well. Very satisfying and delicious.

This place just opened, and word got around fast in this small town! Now they did two things I've said this town needed $1 slices, and delivery. So, I decided to stop to try it for lunch, and awesome! I'm guessing the negative reviews aren't from people that live nearby. We have decent pizza places, but I'm sorry, for $1 a slice for an actual good slice- I'll drive the few minutes out of the way. I tried the $1 slice, baked ziti slice, and the house cheesesteak. All hot, and delicious. The cheese did the cheese pull. It was actually HOT, like steaming hot. Personally, I love my hot super hot. While there wasn't a lot of drink selections, which it appears they're working on it. It's nice inside, the crew is nice, definitely something Blairstown finally needed. read more

I've been a customer of Roman and Jimmy for many years. I used to go there every Friday evening when they were in Hackettstown and my wife and I (who are both Pizza aficionado's) agreed their Pizza was the best around. Also their Calzone's are also great! We also used Roman to cater part of our family Christmas Eve dinner and the catering was great. Since Roman moved to Blairstown a few months ago, we find ourselves finding reasons to get to Blairstown on Friday evenings to order Pizza. There are decent enough places in Hackettstown, but none compare to Roman. Awesome slice joint. Great owner. They have $1 slices and I swear its the best pizza in town. Daily specials are always large and delicious and cost only about $5. Very nice, pleasant people to deal with both on the phone and in person, unlike the other pizza place across the same parking lot. Their pizza is delicious and their prices are very good! This is our go-to pizzeria. We drive over from PA to get pizza from Roman's because the pizza around here for the most part is a disappointment. So glad we found this place! I'd like to start out by saying the owner is a very nice person whom I wish the best in his new business location. I've only eaten in a few times and you can't beat 1.00 slices and water. Pie is very good and its the cheapest lunch in all of NJ. My only reason for three stars is the dirt on the floors in the booths. He needs to mop nightly as its not good at all. The kitchen area looks clean, but the overall lack of cleaning in the seating area makes one think the entire area is dirty. I hope the owner reads this reviews and starts sweeping and mopping under the tables every day. It doesn't take long to clean nightly, and I would give you 5 stars. New place in town, trying different things each time, Stromboli and plain pie was great last time, this time we got ziti pizza and white veggie pizza - I really love this pizza! the crust is perfect, just the way I like it, not to thick and not to thin, not doughy, not soggy.... and not greasy, I can't stand pizza that has oil dripping of it, and Romans definitely does not, they must use quality cheese and ingredients I guess. Fresh sauce taste and the toppings were fresh, I watched them cook some of the veggie toppings before putting them on the pizza, which I also really like. My husband always gets a calzone, and the one we got from Romans was giant, nice crust (not doughy) tons of fillings, cooked all the way through.
