They returned in the morning and put in our new water heater and removed the old one (and the outdated solar one that was just sitting there). They flushed all the lines. FYI, if you're in an old house with rusty pipes, make sure you flush the bigger faucets first. They guarantee their work for the same length as the manufacturer's warrantee. He was immediately on site after I sent in a request (I mean immediately--He was there in less than 10 minutes) made some initial diagnoses on his way home from working (my call came in after work hours and he responded anyway) and maintained communication with me about what things I should do regarding my water heater throughout the evening. Very honest company. My Farmers insurance company requires a whole house water detector and an Automatic Gas Shut off Valve. I searched on Yelp to get few quotes on installation of these equipments. They will cost me few thousand dollars. Scott was such a big help! I reached out to have a ventilation inspection of my water heater because I kept smelling gas in the WH closet. He listened as I described the problem, asked for photos to diagnose, and then offered to come out and inspect in person. When he came out, he was very patient with me. He inspected the machine, did a precautionary gas leak test and even inspected my attic to assess for future installation options.
