I was pleasantly surprised to find Gerardo the Barber here, he had done my husbands and teenage sons hair before in Pomona/Chino area and now that my son is older he had special requests and limited time so it worked just fine when Gerardo was able to schedule an appointment yesterday just before a big event this weekend, he does work by appointment most of the time and is pretty booked but he will try his best and accommodate you, the place is clean and best of all he speaks Spanish witch is a big plus for my husband. read more

Came here this morning with my husband; he had a 9:00 appointment with Maui. There was one barber cutting hair (not Maui) and we were there about 5 minutes early so he said we could take a seat while we waited. Good thing we were sitting because we waited... and waited... over 30 minutes. My husband took our son to this Barber shop just so that he can get the experience of going to a more hipster upbeat barber shop and for the lack of better words it was a disappointment. Not only did the Barber guy treat my son and my husband differently and rude and really didn't communicate in regards to the haircut my son was getting ; but he did a horrible job in regards to his haircut. I would also like to state a situation in which my sevenyear old son felt like he was being laughed at because the barber guy chose to laugh randomly while he was getting his haircut and on top of all that my sevenyear old son told me his hair was in his face the whole time in which my husband had said was happening as well I just want to state very clearly that these type of places need to be more customer service oriented and make it as comfortable as possible for younger kids and for older men in general. Walking into a stuck up place like this one and feeling uncomfortable should never be a feeling at a place that you should be able to walk into and feel welcomed. NO MATTER HOW YOU LOOK YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO FEEL WELCOMED BY THE PEOPLE WHO RUN THE SHOP AND ESPECIALLY THE BARBERS! The haircut my son received was $30 I am not complaining about that because I normally pay $35 at a kids haircut place that does 10 times better so if it cost $65 and I got the look that my husband and I were looking for for my sons haircut it wouldn't even matter so price isn't the situation it's the fact of the experience and the whole look overall! read more

Recently moved to Riverside from the LA area... I visited a couple of barbershops trying to find a new barber for my brother's, but they were not any good. Luckily I stumbled across horizon on my quick run to Jamba Juice next door. The hospitality by Gerardo at the front door was one of a kind, he had a very friendly and respectful approach. Very helpful and patient on my brothers initial consultation and very detailed in his work. I especially liked how clean, organized, and sanitary his station was. He accommodates our schedule as need be, which is a plus since the boys are in sports and school. We have been coming to him for a couple of months now I would definitely recommend him if you're thinking of coming here . It's a good place and barbers get the job done. However there's a lack on customer service. 5 barbers and not one addressed me, or even made the effort to let me know if I would be next or if they're taking a break etc. Waited about 2hrs and was skipped about 3 times.
