Services were ok but the receptionist and billing department are horrible. We always paid before each session and months later they come to us with so called unpaid charges. My daughter Delilah has been a client at Horizon Therapy for about a year now. She receives occupational therapy services with Ms. Nadia. Nadia is so patient and sweet with Delilah, Delilah spots her a mile away and can not wait to work with her during session. As soon as we walk in we are greeted by Trisha with a great big smile and a big hello for Delilah. If you know Delilah you'd know how much she loves big and loud hellos! Delilah can now remove her socks on her own, she struggles less with putting on a T-shirt and now knows how to ride a tricycle!!! This is all thanks to Nadia!!! We are beyond happy with the services and love we receive at Horizon Therapy! I would like to start off that my son got referred to therapy here in November 2020 and didn't get a call back till March 2021. His therapist Kat was amazing. She truly helped my son a lot and gave great advice and tips to work on with him at home. However in December 2022. I gave birth via c section and my pre op appointment and c section landed on days of my sons therapy. So without calling me they sent me a text that they had kicked my son off because I missed 2 therapy sessions. But I had let the front desk and the therapist know I won't be able to make it because I was GIVING BIRTH and they said it will be no problem. Yet they kicked him out and said to call back to put him on the schedule! I called for 6 weeks STRAIGHT and they never answered. So pls listen to the reviews and don't waste your time TRYING to come here. The office and scheduler won't work with you. read more

If I could give it 0 stars I would. My son is a transplant recipient and he missed a PT session due to testing because he has had abnormal lab results. The first day he missed I called a day before to let them know he would miss to do some testing but all calls go to voicemail and no one called me back. We were previously told by the staff that they do not do make ups. I call again today to let them know my son has a biopsy scheduled and will not be able to make it to session tomorrow. I received a call back from Kate and she offered me one option for a make up but my son has another therapy during that time. She said since I am not able to take him to the PT session she was going to remove him from the schedule. She even went as far as telling me to move the biopsy for a different day. My son might be rejecting his liver and this lady clearly has no heart. I asked to speak to her manager and she said she was the manager and that she was the owner. Don't bring your kids here, they deserve staff and an owner that actually cares about patients and not just a paycheck. I am moving my son to another provider that will be understanding of his special needs. You did not give me different options you only offered one day for a make up. I told you he has therapy that day and time already. I do care for my sons therapies that is why he will be going elsewhere. It makes no sense to call you in 1 week when he already has his spot in 1 week but now you have taken him off. I called you guys as soon as I knew something was coming up because I don't like doing things last minute and I asked about make ups before and your staff said you don't do make ups. But even if we wanted to do a make up no one answers the phone. I never got a call back about last weeks missed session. Maybe you and your staff need training in serving patients with special needs and try to be more accommodating. Maybe then your reviews wouldn't be so low. You know when the reviews are this low it's not because of the people who are doing the reviews but because of the owners/staff of the business. I understand missing for no reason and then being taken off the schedule but I have doctors notes and proof of tests/procedures he has had to do that sadly at times overlap with therapy. My son has been going to Horizon Therapy for over two years. He has problems with stuttering. Every time I take him, we are greeted with a smile from his therapist Mina. Sometimes my son would have a lot of energy and would be goofy or other times he had no energy. Mina always knows how to deal with him and make him feel excited about their session. This office is extremely rude, beware going to this location. My son was referred here from Kaiser for Speech Therapy back in January. I did not receive anything until March, when Horizon called to schedule an intake appointment with him. I went in the same week, and when we got there, we were told there were no available therapists to see him and they would have to find a therapist with an opening in their schedule. He had an intake with an ASSISTANT (who told me she doesn´t even have a degree), and it was an awful experience. My referral was for 1 hour per week for 26 weeks and the assistant only saw him for 25 minutes. She said for 2-3 year olds they never see them for an hour (yet that is what my insurance is paying for???). When I left I was told I would get a call back once they found a therapist with an opening in their schedule. That was 3 weeks ago. TODAY, I received a phone call and when I answered I was told ¨Your son is being dropped as a patient for failing to show up to FIVE appointments¨. I told the lady he was never even made a second appointment beyond the intake, and no one ever called to tell me if he had been scheduled. She said he was scheduled every week on the same day and time and I failed to show up 5 times. I asked why I was not called to tell me about the appointment, and she said because they have 100 patients, they do not call to remind about appointments. I will never take me son back, I already called Kaiser and filed a complaint against Horizon, and requested a new referral. This is not the way to conduct business. read more

Let me start off by saying I had a wonderful experience with my first son but the moment I needed my second son in there is when the problems started. The scheduler is a horrible person with even worse customer service skills! She lied about not receiving my sons authorization after other office personnel said she did. Then she spoke to me as if it was my problem my son wasn't seen yet. She instantly became defensive when she called me to schedule his appointment which he didn't even get he was out in a waiting list. After that phone call I called kaiser to move to another facility. I was referred to this place by my primary care physician to help me resolve some issues with a sore back. I'm not really familiar with how these businesses operate, so bear this in mind when you read my review. The initial visit I had was fine. The therapist did her thing and assessed what my issue was. She gave me a photocopy of some exercises I was supposed to do, and told me to start scheduling my appointments. I show up to my first appointment and was introduced to a person who had to have been some assistant. She told me to go ahead and lay down on a nearby table, where I promptly complied. After about 10 minutes waiting for her to come back, she asked me if I had already finished my exercises. WTF?! I explained to her that this was my 1st therapy appointment and she didn't say anything about doing my exercises. She then explained that I needed to do my exercises that were outlined on the sheet of paper that was given to me by the therapist. She walked away, where I was left to start my exercises, without receiving any feedback whatsoever as to whether or not I was doing them correctly. After I completed them, she then proceeded to give me a light massage and then treated me with some laser device that is intended to promote healing. My first visit was close to 45 minutes, but it should have been less if someone had bothered to tell me what I was supposed to do in the first place. Less than half my visits involved any sort of interaction with the staff, providing me with any sort of feedback on my exercises. Basically, you show up, they point you to a table, you do your exercises, and then receive your treatment. For that level of service, I could have just stayed at home to do the exercises and save myself a copay. Personally, I felt it was just a waste of my time and money. read more

I'm fortunate I was able to get therapy quickly for my son. While we have seen some improvement, the therapy is usually done about 10till even when we start late. The most annoying part is we're here for an hour and they don't have WiFi. I'm a working mother and need to use my time here working. Revising from 2 stars to 4. The only reason I am changing this to a 4 is due to the lack of Wifi. I'm still a working mom who has a hard time working while here... I do have to say that my sons new OT Mrs. Nadia is amazing!!! I am so grateful to have stuck it out. My son is making such huge progression. Her style is playful, yet structured and kind. I am so fortunate that she is my son's new therapist!!!! read more

Once again, this place can harm your children due to their lack of responsiveness causing time delays and set backs!!!!! My daughter was referred for speech therapy and evaluated in February. I was told the referral would be sent through and I would be contacted. After 5 months of going back and fourth with my pediatricians office and horizon, I found out the sessions had been approved since March, it's just nobody from their office bothered to call or schedule. It's been 5 months of trying to get this put through and calling them over and over leaving messages and all to find out it was approved months ago!!!!! Seriously this place should be shut down for their lack of care and responsiveness to their patients. My poor baby hasn't been receiving the services she needs and deserves because nobody cares here. They don't even answer the phone or return messages. RUN! Ask to be referred elsewhere, please. Don't go through what i have. read more

I am updating my review because my daughter who was recently referred here in January was able to get seen right away which I thought was nice until her actual appointment which they literally put her in a hallway with some fabric tarp like material which the space couldn't have been any bigger then a coat closet. I asked if that's where she is going to have all her seasons and they said yes that's the only room they had . DO NOT come here for speech therapy! Sofia is incredibly rude and was mentally abusive to my child. She should NOT be working with special needs individuals PERIOD ! My son is nonverbal and severely autistic and she dose not know how to approach special needs children. I would even say she was mentally abusive. I walked out of session only after 20 mins of being there. We as parents of special needs children that is going to someone for help should not have to worry about this to ! The lady at the front desk Tricia is so accommodating to everyone's needs ands wants. She tries to get everyone in as soon as possible and doesn't like to have people waiting. We've been coming here for a little over three years. The staff has always been friendly and patient. We have an autistic nonverbal child who got here speaking only babble and pointing at things. Even though he still has a long road ahead he now constructs sentences, knows his letters, and can read with the help of Arlene (speech therapist) and Sara (OT therapist). They have been extremely helpful and patient in helping him achieve all his milestones. The girls at the front desk have always answered our questions and helped us with insurance questions. When I have emailed Kate. I have always gotten a same day response. I have recommended Horizon Therapy to other parents and will continue to do so. My Daughter loves going their weekly for speech Therapy. Everyone their is always welcoming. My daughter loves seeing her speech therapist Miss Cathy! In fact every time my Daughter see's Miss Cathy she runs up to her and hugs her. Miss Cathy always has a huge smile on her face and is so very patient. Since the hiring of a office manager, the customer service has improved. I commend them for taking the time to improve their service. Horrible horrible experience. Sophia/Sofia how ever you spell her name should not be a speech therapist. She is verbally and physically aggressive. She name called my son "dramatic" exact sentence "you are being very dramatic" also physically pulled my sons arms to make him do sign language. He was resisting and she kept pulling his arms. Any harder she could have pulled his arms out of his socket. She also bribed him with CANDY, candy that wasn't even sealed it was open prior to her giving it to him. NOT sanitary. Her office was a MESS/CLUTTER everywhere. I am a early childhood education teacher and if I EVER degraded my students or name called them or even tugged at their arms I would be FIRED! why is it okay that she gets to continue her job as a therapist when she physically & verbally harms them. What if I wasn't in the room? What would she have done then?? This was our very FIRST session, she didn't get to know my 2 year old son. There was no PLAY time it was all screen time. Everything she was "trying" to teach him was through videos and phone apps. Had I known that I could be doing this at home with him. I brought him here to learn how to talk not watch videos on a computer or phone. She kept making rude remarks such as "he didn't have a nap time today? "You didn't feed him a snack before coming?" No lady. You are scaring him that's why he's upset and doesn't want to interact with you. She told him "you CANNOT leave unless you do what I'm telling you to do" I filed a complaint and I truly hope anyone who goes through this experience with her let's someone know, she shouldn't be working there. read more
