I booked about a week in advance and Rose checked in multiple times over the phone/email to make sure we were still good on dates/times and if we had any questions at all that we forgot to ask. She even went as far as sending us pictures of where to park our cars since we don't live in the area and there can be spotty phone service near where the ranch is. Rose literally couldn't have been more helpful! Genevieve was our guide/instructor for the day and was just as above and beyond spectacular. Just like Rose, she was incredibly helpful and informative right from the jump, and even asked my fiancé if she had any preferences on what horse she wanted to ride since it was her birthday! Despite all of this, two other riders that were supposed to be riding with us were giving Genevieve a really hard time about wearing a helmet for the duration of the ride (among other obnoxious remarks). These people were incredibly rude, and had the audacity to act this way even though they showed up late to the ranch for the ride which held the group up. Genevieve handled this interaction as smoothly and professionally as anyone possibly could, and repeatedly went out of her way to apologize to my fiancé and I for any inconvenience that these people caused even though it wasn't her fault at all. Despite all of that, Genevieve remained super sweet, helpful, and informative throughout the entire duration of our ride. She even found some extra time for us at the end of the typical trail and took a whole bunch of awesome pictures for us where there was a really great view. Overall, Genevieve, Rose, and the horses gave my fiancé an absolutely amazing birthday. We had such an amazing time and will definitely be back! Thank you very much!

This horseback riding experience was actually a surprise from my boyfriend, so until the very last…read moremoment I had no idea we were going riding. Overall it was a really interesting and memorable experience, especially because of the beautiful nature and the whole atmosphere. The only downsides for me were the trails themselves in some areas they were very narrow, which made me a little nervous at times. Sometimes the horses were walking very close to bushes and plants, and my legs were getting scratched a bit, which was uncomfortable. Also, my saddle was attached unevenly, so I was sitting in a pretty awkward position for more than half of the ride. Eventually the instructor noticed it and explained how to adjust it properly, which definitely helped, but I do wish it had been checked earlier. Other than that though, it was still a very unique experience and I'm glad we did it

I often see plenty of wildlife including birds, coyotes, and deer. Definitely go during cooler temps, and not over the hot summer months. Trudy is also super helpful and nice, and very responsive whenever I need anything. Everyone here from the staff to the boarders have been incredibly friendly and made my entire experience very positive.

Talley was incredibly flexible and met us where we were with our horse experience while sharing her wisdom and deep knowledge of equine therapy, something she helped pioneer in Malibu. Every horse at the ranch has such a unique personality and is so clearly loved, cared for, and well trained. Over the two weeks we rode every day, painted and washed the horses, practiced equine therapy activities, and built such special connections with all six horses.
