We recently had an event at the upstairs room of the venue and I was thrilled with the service we received. Alexa & Sean could not have been more hospitable! I am GF and Sean immediately made me feel comfortable and got me a delicious chicken and cauliflower meal. He is great at his job. Alexa also was fabulous. She was the main bartender at the event and was kind and worked very hard to make everyone happy. I would totally recommend having an event here! The downstairs bar is nice also. I've been here for a few more trivia nights and have tried their cucumber avo shrimp salad which is a winner for me. I did come back for ribs and found I wasn't as impressed as the first time I had them surprisingly. Staff are always wonderful. Horseshoe Tavern is a great casual bar to watch a game or hang with friends. I enjoyed the wings which are available as half or full orders. If you order a full, then you can try two flavors. I tried the lemon pepper and garlic parmesan wings. Both were very tasty and flavorful. The portion was generous and wings were filling. I also tried the dulce de leche cake which was also good. A friend of mine and I got together to get dinner. When we arrived we parked on the street nearby. We walked in and sat ourselves. Kelly was our server, and she was great! We ordered the chicken sliders and the shrimp cajun shrimp penne pasta. It came out quickly. My sliders weren't bad. I just were a little too well done. I tried the pasta, and that was good! Hands down! Best burger (Angry Burger) I've ever had in my life. Burger patty was excellent. Cooked perfectly and jalapeños were grilled rather than pickled. Grilled onions as well. So perfect on Brioche bun. Also, bartender (Stephanie) was incredible,made the experience that much better. Great personality. Next time in Morristown, plan on stopping in. Food was okay. It was a typical quesadilla. Service was fast, but I came at a non-busy time. The restaurant was situated around the bar, with seating around. During the day, you could get some natural light from the windows. When back later and got some drinks. At night, they open up black lights. Went after checking into hotel and grabbed a late lunch. Sat at the bar, it is a bar! Heavy drinkers here. But my focus was lunch. The spicy chicken sandwich was crazy good! It had a kick to it, the slaw on top was yummy with the spicy chicken. The fries were coated but had a good bite! The food was hot! The side of the sandwich is split'able. The fries were extra charge but worth it. The service was friendly and very attentive! They even served SPRITE! My lucky day! PROS: This place was a very unique bar to go to. It had games, a lionel train that circles the place, a country theme to it, and more TVs than a usual bar its size. The staff was very nice and they kept the place clean. For a bar they had a good amount on the menu and many draft beers to choose from. CONS: Like many places in town there isn't a whole lot of parking for it. The bathroom could also be jammed since it can only accommodate a couple people compared to the amount the bar normally takes in. OVERALL: Definitely a bar I'm planning on going back to. Minor setbacks won't stop me from enjoying lunch here while I watch a game on one of their many TVs. read more

We arrived multiple hours late to our Hotel nearby due to weather delays and had been at the airport for hours so we were hangry! We left the hotel and crossed the street to a place that looked like Italian but they were closed. Just a couple of doors down was this unassuming tavern. They served food/drinks and would work for our needs at that time. Boy was I wrong, it was soooooo loud that we couldn't hear one another talk, but the food was huge portions and all three items we ordered were really great! Calamari was crisp, fresh, and tender! Dipped in their homemade marinara set it OTT! Husband had the fish n' chips and I had the cheesesteak. We weren't expecting much for either but we were pleasantly impressed by both dishes! We normally eat before 6 and this was going on 8:30 so neither of us wanted to eat huge amounts of food that late but it was a challenge to stop when we did because the food was so good! The service was much better than anticipated, as well, as they were so packed but we never had to look around to find our waitress. Certainly worth a stop, if you're in the area. Went here for the first time with my boyfriend for some drinks and food. The vibe was amazing! Every age range so you didn't feel out of place. The food was amazing. What makes this place is the service. I have never been somewhere where you had 4 people come to ask if you were ok or needed anything. Words cannot express how incredible it was. I came here with a group of friends to see a band called the Amish Outlaws,( yes their really Amish, but left their homes and never returned during Rumspringa.)They don't play often in my area so our group decided to make the trek to Morristown. I ordered the tickets online, and to my surprise when I arrived I was greeted by a very nice door man who checked us in and asked if we purchased tickets online or if we needed to purchase them at the door. I let him know we purchased them online and he directed me to the girl behind the counter. The checkin was fast and very organized . The girl had pages and pages of names of who paid online and she looked it up and found us in two minutes, and then we were given wristbands. Usually it takes forever to check in when you purchase tickets online, not this place! Horseshoe Tavern has a really nice large bar on the main floor. It takes up 3/4 of the entire room. There are some booths on the outer edge of the room for dining and sitting with friends. I didn't try the food but it did look good for bar food. They also serve a late night menu. Across from the bar area are a set of stairs that lead up to the second floor and they have a DJ playing while the band played. The crowd at Horseshoe Tavern was mixed, college students, 30's, 40's 50's etc. This place also has skee ball and comfy sofas and places to sit and mingle on the 2nd floor in the Raven Room. It can get very crowded and does get very loud when the music is playing so talking is All the bartenders were very nice along with the entire staff. The drinks were good, and Horseshoe Tavern was prepared for the very large crowd this band draws. There are also many flat screen tv's for viewing sports events. I was lucky, my friend found a parking spot on the street for free because it was after 8pm otherwise it's metered. If street parking is full, you can park in The Dalton Garage on Cattano Ave behind Century 21: If you arrive after 5pm there is a flat rate of $3. Anyone who is exiting the garage after 9:45pm does not pay- the gate is open and you drive out. (You still take a ticket upon entering) There is also self parking at the Hyatt Regency on Speedwell Ave if you are staying at that hotel. I would definitely like to return to sample their food and catch another band. read more

this place is super loud lol. good for a night out. the food not so good. i got the loaded tots. i asked for no onions and jalapenos (one is stinky and one is spicy for me).......mainly tomatoes, bacon, sour cream, cheese, and ranch? odd combo but ok. the tots were crispy but greasy! it was a lot for just me. i was meeting people and i didn't think i was gonna share. everyone was either drinking or eating their own food. i wouldn't order that again but i would probably come back to the place becuz its not bad. seemed to have mainly after work guys or polo collar type shirts men lol. read more

Unfortunately my friends and I had a terrible experience here last night, which could have been easily avoided if the situation was handled differently by the manager of the bar. We were in the women's restroom when a man barged in without saying anything (he looked drunk) and we proceeded to tell him that this was the women's restroom and that he needed to leave. He just kept yelling at us that "this is his bathroom" and asking us "do you know who you're talking to". He opened a utility closet in the bathroom which ended up being the reason he was in there, however we had no idea as he never explained that to us and just kept yelling at us. He then told security to "get us the fuck out" and said that he doesn't care. We explained everything to security and they completely understood and knew that the manager was in the wrong. Overall it was a terrible experience considering this happened within 5 minutes upon entry, and the manager seemed to get a power trip from barging into the women's restroom unannounced and kicking out girls who were concerned over safety matters. Came here for sunday football around 12:30pm. Just wanted to grab some apps, drinks and watch the game. I would rate the food a 2.5 - the pretzel was big but it was burnt on the outside so we didn't finish it. The mozzarella sticks were good, but they're pretty hard to mess up, and the buffalo wings were average. There's definitely places in Morristown with better wings. Service is a 3 - we stood at the podium for about 5 minutes before we were told we could seat ourselves. With Covid, I thought they would prefer to seat people to social distance accordingly. It took a long time to order drinks and even longer to order food. We debated going up the bar to order food there since the waitress wasn't coming over to the table. I would return to only drink and watch the game, not to order food. I would also order 2 drinks at a time to offset the long wait times. read more

Very nice spot for a drink, with great selection. The food here seems to range from eh to good - not their strength here. The decor is very nice, particularly in the Raven Room upstairs, and the service is friendly. If you're going for food or price point, there are better options. However, if you're going for a bar with good selection, and a great looking spot, this place definitely offers that, with good service on top of that. read more

Came on a weekend night and it was busy enough to be almost packed. There are multiple TVs so this is a good spot as a sports bar. They also play some good music here. There's an upstairs with live bands on most weekends. 1) Wings - Good quality, got the buffalo which is spicy and BBQ which was great. 2) Sliders - Didn't come with lettuce or tomatoes which subtracts from it but overall solid cheese burger sliders. Not a fan of their Happy Hour drink specials but I recommend their 3 Apps for $20 special. $8 IPA draft is slightly above average considering I tried two different kinds and neither tasted "right". Myself, my wife and another couple came in last month. The experience was outstanding, from the service to the food and drink! Tiffany (Mgr.) and our bartender/server Bruce were there to make us feel welcomed and a great time was had by everyone. I'm glad this bar exists because I can always find a seat during the week (well the 2 times i've been there). The first time I went I ordered sliders which were completely raw inside to the point where they were falling apart and I had to sent it back. I didn't realize it until I was half way through one and realized something was incredibly wrong. The second time I strayed away from anything that could potentially be under done and it was an okay experience. I would say for watching sports and having a drink it's okay, although the service is lacking and it's hard to track down a waiter, I still think it's a good place to go for drinks and trivia. read more
