Came in around 3pm for lunch and asked for a Booth so the kids can watch the TV - no hostess at the stand so one bar back guy walked over and sat us in a booth by the bar area- good seats. Hardly anyone there so the bartender comes over to take the order despite a bunch of employees standing around and chatting. I would rather have a dedicated waiter / waitress. I see another group of employees all seated at a booth all talking. Makes no sense. We ordered but the Apps and the main course came out all at once before we even got our drinks. Not a big deal. One of my kids wanted some salt for her mac & cheese. Bartender never came back to ask how everything came out. Multiple people loafing around and waking past but I couldn't get anyone's attention for the salt. I asked someone who said we aren't his table and kept walking. I saw this guy up by the bar - collared shirt - looked like a manager. I waved at him and he looked at me and just shook his head and went back to talking to some other bar back.    I was beyond pissed and finally the older manager lady happened to walk by. I said who is that guy in the collared shirt - oh he works here but hasn't started his shift yet. Yea well I just wanted the salt shaker if he bothered to take 2 seconds and see. Or he could have gotten someone else's attention but he didn't, he just blew me off. But the Manager made no attempt to really apologize or ask what she could do. Then our drinks are empty for awhile- none came by to see if we wanted another round. Eventually I'm waving at the bartender who finally comes over and I ask for a 2nd round. Then he forgets about making them and spends 15 mins talking with other employees and doing whatever before I wave at him again. He gives me the nod and The drinks finally come but no limes like the previous round. Honestly I was done - might have stayed longer but with our kids it was time to go. The Wiener schnitzel was hard, overcooked, dry and hard to cut. While the portion was generous it didn't make up for the poor taste. The red cabbage had no taste. It was not worth eating and the very small portion of spaetzle was not good. No taste. The server was either brand new or untrainable. He kept saying "no problem"????? The salt shaker was so greasy feeling and the salt did not flow. I don't know how the experience could have been any worse. I suspect you should keep to pub type food and skip these specials. We got a flatbread fungi pizza that I thought was pretty good! I only had an edge piece that had a smaller amount of toppings but my family said the rest had wayyy too much mushroom it was way too overpowering. I did find the portion to be a bit small as they pre-slice the steak and give you maybe 5-6 pieces with the sauce. The fries on the side were just regular ole fries. Awesome place to grab a beer and enjoy American style eats. We popped in with a large group of 11 on New Year's Eve without reservations not knowing what to expect. Luckily, they were gracious enough to be able to accommodate our impromptu visit and seat us in less than 10 minutes. I immediately noticed the large selection of on-tap beers at the bar. So, if you want cold beers of all types, this is the place for you. The menu had a nice selection of American style bar eats which was good enough for us. Nothing was particularly note worthy, but all was prepared well. Overall, service was good given our large group and we appreciated their attentiveness. We have gone to The Office Tavern Grill when in Morristown for about six years. A full bar with 40 beers on tap, it a great place for friends and groups. Getting a couple of flights to share is great fun with friends. The food is presented well and is good, a fun place to catch a sporting event. With four Universities near by, they are patroned by a large contingent of college students including staff. When we took our son to lunch when he was at college, there was always someone he knew working or eating there. The Office is always solid. You can find classics on the menu like burgers and wings, but they also have some more elevated entrees like salmon and short rib. Because the space is so large it's usually not tough to get a table, and they also have an extensive selection of beer and cocktails. During my last visit I was a little disappointed in the cobb salad. The salad came topped with tons of grilled chicken, bacon, blue cheese which was great, but I was a bit disappointed that the lettuce used was spring mix. This isn't really quality lettuce that you'd expect to see in an entree salad. The lettuce was wilty, especially under the hot chicken. I was also a little disappointed with my daughters chicken tenders which felt over fried and way too crispy. Next time I visit I'll stick to something more simple like a burger and wings. Go here for an IPA if you are in the area and some bar food. I hadn't been here in about 20 years but went in with low expectations and left satisfied. I enjoyed my Mahi tacos and the truffle cauliflower. My colleagues said the sweet potato fries were delicious and the lemon chicken bowl looked really good. We ordered- Crabby eggs: Devil's egg but it was supposed to be mixed with crab meat - not that great, 3/5 Blackened Salmon - Pam suggested this, and it was good. Parking in the muni lot behind, back entry was convenient from the second floor of the parking deck. Popped here for a quick meet up and sat at the bar, they have the bartender serving the area which may make it slow if the area is busy like it was even on a Wednesday night. Lots of beer selections and they were out of my first choice, the blood orange wheat. Enjoyed a blueberry wheat. The food was ok but very very salty.... Be prepared with the formaggio pizza or the Caeser salad that they were both super salty. Wings with a soy garlic rub was very good though, had it as a part of their can't decide appetizer tray. Pepperoni pizza was really good though salty, crispy pepperoni and good crust. Overall had better food from the same restaurant over in Hanover NJ and Summit. A decent bar and grill in Morristown. It's right in heart of downtown Morristown so street parking can be tricky but there is a parking garage close by. I tried the boujee mule but it was a little too sweet for me. Our group ordered a bunch of apps to share, all were decent nothing amazing. Came here on a Sunday afternoon when we were passing through Morristown. We had never heard of it before and we're so pleasantly surprised by such a gem. It was pretty empty so we were seated right away. Service was great and quick. The food came out fast and was so good. We had the margarita flatbread, a burger and the short rib sandwich. I've been here so many times and I always have a pleasant experience. Usually I don't have an issue getting a table and the food is pretty good. I've gotten burgers, steak sandwiches, etc. The ONLY thing I would advise to stay away from are their oysters. I had a bad experience once and am not sure if that was a one off or regular occurrence. Very saddened to write this review, as this has been one of my absolute favorite places to go after work for a few drinks, apps and dinner. Been here many times over the last year or so. For that purpose, excellent - creative food, good drinks (happy hour manhattans are a great deal!), and the perfect mix of enough people around, but never feeling crowded. Was excited to try it for a weekend lunch with the family, but unfortunately didn't even get the opportunity. They made it clear quickly that they did not want to seat us. We were refused seating and told that they would not seat a high chair anywhere near the outside tables or tables near the window. Bad for their image?
