I am extremely satisfied with the quality of both customer service and work done on my vehicle from Hosep's Body Shop! I came to Hosep's for an estimate on damage from a rear-end accident to my vehicle after feeling suspicious and distrusting towards a different vehicle repair location that was clearly NOT on the side of the consumer...but rather just working with the appraisers and insurance companies to get the best arrangement for THEM. At Hosep's, on the other hand, I was able to speak with Sharam without an appointment, and he was very frank and honest with me about all that the process would entail and how much it would cost to get everything done. I appreciated his transparency and his open communication as I explored other body shop options...but soon settled on working with him & Hosep's Body Shop. Once setting up a time for drop-off and then bringing it in, he remained openly communicative throughout the process with me, and the work on the car itself was done flawlessly and beautifully. The only issue I had was with my tail lights briefly going out after picking up my vehicle from its repairs. After calling Sharam, however, he was able to have me come in that same day and quickly fixed that minor issue for me. Aside from that, everything went seamlessly from beginning to end throughout the whole process. I take my car here every time I need work done. They're always reasonable about pricing, do great work, and Sharam always comes from a place of trying to genuinely help his customers and listen to their needs before anything. Today, I showed up unexpectedly to pick up my car and management was not there yet to provide me with the key to my vehicle. The employee there asked if I could wait just a few minutes for Sharam to authorize handing off the keys, and I told him I didn't have a few minutes and I had to leave. 06/27/2025, my Toyota Corolla was parked on a quiet street, minding its own business, maybe even whistling the day away when a 16 foot Uhaul truck took off her front end. I told Hosep the owner after he replaced and painted my rear bumper that there is a huge gap between my rear bumper and fender, and it is not flushed like the other side, you can even see the bumper retainer clips!! A minor accident entering a parking lot dislodged the front bumper of my Lexus. One or more of the anchoring tabs was compromised. While my mechanic was able to stabilize the bumper, he suggested I check with a body shop if I wanted it to align correctly. He recommended Hoseps. Thinking I might need a new bumper - very expensive and ridiculous given the type of accident it was, thanks Lexus - I went over and met with Sharam. He looked the situation over, took parts of the bumper apart and repaired it while I waited. He checked the rest of the bumper and assured me all was ok. He charged me very little for his work and probably saved me $1400 compared to what I would have been charged if I had gone to Lexus or somewhere not as gracious, honest, and helpful. My car was hit pretty hard and needed to get a significant amount of work done. I haven't had to go to a body shop in over a decade, so I was stressed out about having to find places and vet them. My friend, who's built cars and therefore whose rec I trust, recommended Hosep's. The owner was super helpful, immediate gave me a printout saying I'm legally allowed to see whatever mechanic I want (I didn't know this) and not to let the insurance company bully me into going to one of their places. He handled the back and forth with the other insurance company, especially since my car is new and their insurance didn't want to pay for certain things (so annoying), then kept me updated through out the couple of weeks my car had to be there. Brought a car in for repair. While the car's rear view mirror was cracked premious to the visit - we came back to the car less than 24 hours later to find it broken completely off the car and hanging by wires. 'Ive personally inspected the mirror prior to this happening, and it must have taken a good amount of force to break it off completely like that, even with it previously cracked. We confronted the owner of the shop about it - he was completely unapologetic - and even when I asked him for a simple explanation and NO compensation, he refused to apologize for the inconvenience or lack of communication. A simple "we're sorry that happened" would have sufficed, but unfortunately, he came off like just another scumbag car mechanic. Go to JJ's. THIS PLACE IS CLEARLY SHADY! I will begin by saying how they agreed to reimburse me for the work they were paid to do by my insurance company and didn't...then STOPPED PAYMENT ON THE CHECK!!!! And as far as the work they did? I think the pictures speak for themselves. The paint didn't match, had debris in it, and the body work was uneven and sloppy. The owner's initial response to their terrible work was ... "When your car has body damage it will never look the same way again." Mind you, this was only one dent in the wheel well. They didn't even remove a stone guard sticker & painted OVER IT claiming that's what the insurance company wanted, which wasn't true. The sticker costs approx. $10! Also, they didn't fix the pinstripes the insurance company paid them to repair claiming it wasn't something they could do. (By the way, another body shop did it in under an hour.) My insurance claim adjuster even paid Hosep's a visit to investigate their reluctance with completing some of the repairs. Hosep's kept my car for 6 WEEKS and after having to fight to have it fixed correctly it STILL wasn't done right. In the end, Hosep's just dismissed my disappointment saying "I'm sorry you're not happy." Over 2 months of hassle over a minor fender bender, numerous phone calls, arguments, and a final frustrating conversation where they explained that painting over a sticker rather than removing it is just what they do...I AM BEYOND UPSET. Let us just say service *****, on time and took you step by step and how they were going to make our car look like it was. The car is only a year and a half old. When it was done it looked like the day I bought it. Last, price was what it was and none of this extra charge for those little things that some Auto places do to when you pick up your car. Please avoid going to this place. I really dont like writing bad reviews, but then again, I really dont like getting screwed over by places and would like to help out my fellow yelpers. First, I bring my car in for a quote on my bumper. The man who runs the place, Sharam, took a look at my car and then brought my back into his office to write up a quote. While he was getting ready to get me a quote, he got a phone call, and proceeded to have a 15 minute conversation with someone about "legal" issues, and was pulling up contracts on his computer. Meanwhile, I am sitting here getting my time completely wasted. I had to end up leaving and waited until the next day for my quote. (which was higher than other places I brought my car to for reference.) I had to go pick up my car and bring it to another shop since Hosep's price was higher, and when I went to go pick up my car, my rear view mirror was completely broke, hanging by a cord. I asked the guys at the shop what happened and they all denied the issue, and the proceeded to "fix" my mirror with some duct tape. I had to wait until Sharam got back to his office to talk to him. I took photo's and sent them to Sharam to prove that my mirror was broken while at his shop. While my mirror was slightly bent/cracked, it was still functional, and not at all broken the way it was when I went to pick it up. Hosep's did not take responsibility for something they did to my car, and treated me with disrespect. Now I am out more money because of this place and I am extremely unhappy. In the end, this place is a disappointment, their customer service is horrible, they are untrustworthy and their prices are higher than other places. My car needed some minor repairs so I went in to get an estimate. It was reasonable so i authorized the work and paid in full. I left with my car and they were to call when the parts arrived. They never called. In the meantime, my car was stolen. When I called to cancel the work and get a refund they said they were sorry but couldn't provide one. When I complained they said they could provide a partial refund. $182 of $894. And give me the parts. I immediately called the credit card to contest but because Hosep's lied and said the work was done and they had already provided a refund so the bank couldn't do anything as the onus is on the consumer to prove that it wasn't done. So, I called Hosep's to get the refund and arrange to get the parts. He said he had nothing to say to me because I had contested and hung up on me. Now I have the aggravation of having to go to go to the AG, the BBB, the FTC, and the CA Bureau of Auto Repair. Beware of paying in advance for any work here. read more

I went to this place on several occasions to get body work done and I hate to say it, but each time the quality of work went down. The final straw was when I was rear-ended and went to get my car fixed at another body shop, but was told that the last shop (Hosep's) that "fixed" my bumper made a complete mess of it. The new shop (a large nation-wide chain) told me that whomever worked on my car last, broke the part that attaches to the bumper and tried to cover it up by just putting a bunch of glue on everything. This all made sense because I remember when it was originally "fixed", within a couple weeks a noticeable gap started forming between the side panel and the bumper. I brought it back to him and they attempted to simply heat it and mush it back in, which actually did some minor damage to the paint. He said he would need to keep it a couple days to fix it, which is fine, but then I said you will need to cover the cost of a rental for however long it takes, to which he said no and that's just the way it is in the car repair business. So let me get this straight, I bring my car to you to fix, you do a sub-par job (only to find out later you completely botched it) and now I have to pay money out of my pocket (this was being covered by the other person's insurance) to help you fix your mistake. Basically, in the end I need a whole new bumper thanks to Hosep's Body Shop. Go somewhere else! read more
