I love this place!!!!!! Love love love it so much haha if you haven't already try it. This is a must try yoga place.. Come with one week free yoga class. After that is about 140$ / month. I love all classes there except jake s barre class. It's too hot to be doing barre in there. One lady i met came out of the class and had a minor seizure. The ambulance were called . Scary! The studio is modern-looking, clean and well equipped! The showers & locker rooms are amazing. I've never tried hot yoga before, so I used their free week and came in for a Yin Yang class a while ago. The instructor was awesome and I very much liked the class and everything about the studio. The only reason that I haven't gone back is that I literally can't deal with the heat. But I highly recommend Hot 8 to anyone who's into hot yoga. read more

This place has been the cleanest studio I've been to yet. Been practicing hot yoga on and off for a couple years now and I've gotta day, they really got it right. The little things from the water station with salt in front of their studios to the quality body washes, shampoos, complimentary bags for wet clothes. When I first learned of 'hot yoga' I was completely turned off. I mean who does that, right? But I denied my preconceived notion that this yoga practice wasn't for me. Boy, am I glad that I ignored that thought and followed my intuition. I LOVE this place, the practice, the instructors, and most importantly the hot rooms. My body has never felt so good and has probably never been so detoxed. I just can't see myself not practicing and sweating as much as I do now. Each class teaches me something new about myself. I used to love this studio, but the new teachers are really only meh. The studio is clean and friendly, but the teachers are inexperienced, especially the ones leading the beginning power classes. Yes, those are supposed to be easier, but the teachers should still have an understanding of yoga. I used to enjoy the Wednesday night power 1 class, but that teacher is particularly weak. I think they moved a sculpt teacher over to teach yoga with no yoga training. read more

Once you attend classes at Hot 8, you won't be able to go to another cheaper dirtier nasty yoga studio with limited classes and no parking. Hot 8 Yoga has created the Good-Standard for yoga studios. Unfortunately although I really loved the physical space of this studio, the penalty they exact for purchasing a membership online thru Mindbody, and then not being able to get to class due to a work commitment that had me traveling, I have to give this place 1 star. I explained to no less that five employees, who all assured me that my membership would be refunded, about my out of town period taking me away, and the last person I spoke to said her manager, Britney Woods, was telling me that nothing would be refunded (I had only paid $170 so no big deal, although it was so little they might have considered keeping a good relationship with their clientele), although I was told that mailing a physical cancellation paperwork would kickstart my refund and cancel further payments. Nope. Makes it not feel like yoga anymore, and I've been practicing for twenty years. Yoga is now big business. Can't recommend. read more

I did bikram yoga for years and haven't had good experiences with hot yoga as I feel it doesn't give me the intensity and stretches that I want. This place changed that. First time doing yoga barre and got a GREAT workout in. The teachers know what they're doing which surprisingly isn't easy to find in the hot yoga world in my experience. Also the studio is beautiful and so clean (and they give you cold eucalyptus towels too.)They offer a free week trial which is awesome. I highly recommend this place if you're good at taking directions and being present in your practice. read more

In 2008 I started taking yoga classes in Manhattan Beach, and since then I have been to many different yoga studios throughout Southern Cal. I have done Yoga Works, Core Power Yoga, Bikram Yoga, Hole in the wall yoga, stale corporate Yoga, owner-operator Yoga, Kundalini Yoga, 24 Hour Fitness wannabe yoga, trendy LA Yoga, and all the other Hot8 locations.. Some of those places were very good. However, it is of my opinion that is based on substantial experience that Hot8 Yoga in Pasadena is the best yoga studio in Southern Cali. It all starts with Devon. She's the brilliant Manager. She runs a tight ship. She gets a lot of help from her right-hand man Martel who commands the ship when Devon is taking a day off. Lindy and Cheyanne offer excellent customer service at the front desk. The place is ultra clean and germ-free due to the caring custodial staff. Devon offers up a unique bouquet of classes, starting at 6:00 am and going throughout the day till 8:15 pm. Devon makes it easy for you to book classes around your work schedule. This particular Hot8 location has 3 big heated rooms to practice different styles of yoga in. The locker rooms all have plenty of showers, lockers, and space. Hot8 Pasadena offers mats for rent, clean towels, and beverages. But the teachers are the cherry on top of this yummy cake of goodness. All the teachers are well educated and know exactly what they are doing. But I must admit there are a few standouts. Daniel M and Brandi Rice do a great job with the mega detoxing and ultra-deep stretching 26 and 2 (Bikram Style) classes. The ever-smiling Britney Churchill makes the yoga vibe class fun and groovy. The delightful Damara and the loving Nancy Norby will get you to tone and tighten those glutes and abs in Barre yoga. My two Rockstars are Bradley B (Sculp) and Alex H (Power Yoga) Both have a guru style approach that works very well, and they ooze charisma and charm. The parking is plentiful and safe. You are surrounded by booze and great food just outside the building. So you can enjoy a great meal after class. The pricing is in line with all the other upscale yoga studios in Southern Cal. They even have a little patio so you can work on your tan if you get to class early and have a few minutes to kill. I am grateful for this place! read more

I just moved here from New Mexico, where I taught at a similar (though not as fancy or immaculate) studio with a really close knit yoga/pilates community. I have searched out here for something similar for about a year and a half, but hadn't yet been able to find a studio I really loved, until I came to Hot 8 Yoga in Pasadena. The studio is beautiful, and there's a cool little garden outside. The showers and locker rooms are clean and they shampoos and soaps they provide smell so good. They have razors, lotion, tampons, and deodorant for your use as well. With their varied classes and eclectic group of instructors, you're sure to find what you're looking for. My favourite class is hands-down the Yoga Vibe taught by Tim on Saturday mornings. Every other day of the week I can get through two classes in a row, but Tim works my endurance and makes me a better yogi more than any other instructor I have ever had. He only teachers this one class here, so you have to ditch brunch one Saturday and come in and see him. All the instructors I have had are amazing, but my favourites are Brittany, Ilan, Bradley, and Alex. I haven't been able to take one yet, but they offer trainings periodically and I can't wait until I am able to do one of those. The front desk people are all very polite and friendly and welcoming and there are several Hot 8 locations. I have an executive membership, which includes a mat, mat towel, and bath towel each time I come, which I absolutely love because it cuts my hot yoga laundry down dramatically. The only thing I don't love about the place is the parking, which is validated for two hours. This is of course not Hot 8's decision, and rather an issue with the building, but it does mean that if you're doing a double (which I always do) you have to drive out and back in to get another ticket. I definitely recommend this for new or veteran yogis -- your first week is free! read more

Still on my free week and after 3 classes I have to say it rocks! It's my top choice for a yoga studio and love the variety of classes offered. Speaking of love...Brandii is an awesome instructor. After my 2nd class with her tonight and a vigorous workout yesterday, I was in hot yoga heaven. It's Bikram with the 26 postures but without the carpet floors and harsh lighting. It truly helps with soreness and muscle aches. It's 90 minutes and the room is heated up to 105 degrees with humidity. But the one thing about yoga is you get to lay down a lot and often rest while sweating buckets! Towards the end of class she pumped fresh air into the room and while in rest posture, she put a eucalyptus infused cold towel on my forehead. That made me a fan! She also read inspirational quotes throughout class to get us through. In general, the studio is clean, light and airy. There's a zen garden outside and they validate for parking. read more

I love yoga. I love it. If you know who Chad Hamrin is and have studied under him on the west side he developed my love for yoga. Ive done iyengar yoga, kundalini, ashtanga, hatha, vinyasa I have done maybe not all of them but when I say I love it and I study it one on one with some teachers to get a deeper understanding of my body and the work, I'm not a weekend warrior or some person who likes the idea of going to yoga but what I really want is an aerobics class. I'm not the kind of person who says I love yoga but I need some cardio in there too to feel like I got a workout in. When I moved to Pasadena and attended the yoga classes at, my gym at the time, equinox I was disappointed with the instructors and thought that by joining a yoga gym I would have not only more to choose from as far as yoga instruction goes but better instructors to choose from. I was incredibly disappointed when looking through the schedule of classes available in the morning at 6am they did not offer a yoga class. What they offered was a class called yoga sculpt, but the only thing yoga about that class was a down dog we did at the beginning of class and the savasana at the end. The class was filled with jumping jacks and running and biceps curls and weighted squats. If I wanted that I would have stayed at my gym equinox where they offer an aerobics class. When I commented on this to the girl at the front desk she informed me that they wanted to offer a variety of classes to appease a variety of people. I understand the concept, however, why not also then, offer an actual yoga class at 6am. There are 3 studios and they still only offer that one class. What is the point of paying for a high end yoga studio if I'm not even getting yoga? This facility is beautiful. The staff is nice and informative. My problem with this place is that in a sea of hot yoga gyms in this area (that are not as nice aesthetically or as conveniently located), is that they fail at delivering what they claim to be offering. At the price point this facility is charging they aren't giving their customers very much either. They charge you if you don't bring a mat to class, they charge you for a towel for your yoga mat which you absolutely need bc you will be dripping in sweat, you have to pay for a towel to shower. Equinox may be pricey but they give you everything and they charge the same amount and looking back on it now at their class schedule they actually offer yoga at 6 am and an aerobics class at 6am. All of hot 8's best classes are in the middle of the day when people are working. I feel like there are some great things about this place but they make it very difficult for me to want to stay a member of this studio when all I want is a hot yoga studio that I can call home. read more

By far the best workout I have found in Pasadena! My favorite instructors are Ava, Michael, Stephanie, and Kristen. If you are not used to high intensity workouts don't start out with the Barre or sculpt classes~those are truly for more advanced yogis that have grown accustomed to the high heat. Studios and locker rooms are spotless, FREE parking for 2 hours in a secure garage in Pasadena is almost unheard of. Staff is very friendly and instructors are amazing and very motivating. I would highly recommend this studio to anyone in the area looking for a challenging workout. read more

NO HOT WATER. Was loving this place - great facility, great class schedule, fantastic parking, good teachers. Today - no hot water. I love yoga. I refuse to do hot yoga when I can't take a shower after. Not going back until they have hot water for their showers. Would have appreciated them telling me this *before* class - would have gone to another studio instead or opted to do something else. read more

I am in love with this place! I purchased a founding membership and it is worth every penny. They give you mats and towels, which is awesome because you are not carrying around mildewed items in your gym bag. The studio is so clean, and the ambience and decor so nice, that you feel like you are in a high end spa. The staff, from the front desk ladies to the teachers themselves, are all super nice and friendly. It is obvious that they practice yoga themselves. My favorite class is Hot Yoga Barre, which keeps me in a really good shape, but what I love most is that there is so much variety with the classes, so I never burn out on any one thing. And, there is a 6 am class Monday-Friday, which is perfect for me because then I can get to work at 9 am without rushing. Another huge plus is that they have every product you might need (and everything is organic and smells divine!), such as shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, face wash, q tips, razors, shaving cream....even clear plastic bags to put your wet clothes in after you workout. They've really thought of everything! So it really is like being at a high end spa that just happens to have some amazing yoga classes. :) Basically, I am thrilled this studio has opened! read more

i loveeee this studio and the space. the classes are amazing and the instructors are phenomenal. i love taking brandi's hot yoga classes because she's the ONLY instructor i know who is really particular about form and corrections AND she'll point out any mistakes you're making in a way that's just so kind and caring. we've all been in group classes where an instructor can be really mean and militant, but not here. i also really enjoy scott and dan's hot power fusion classes, too. and the staff is SO kind and wonderful. just do it! read more
