The place was empty as I walked in at 1pm on a Saturday. thinking this isn't a good sign but the area didn't have much traffic so I went in. I ordered (2) Chili cheese dog. At first appearance the cheese wasn't the bold orange color and instantly knew it wouldn't be a bold cheese taste. And I was right. The chili also didn't have a bold chili taste. The bun was on the stale side, but not too stale where you couldn't eat it. Service was a little slow considering I was the only order. Summary if you dont like a strong chili or cheese taste, this hotdog is for you. But not for me. However you would think by my review I wouldnt stop again. First time here.. had a Chicago dog, was excited they had that option. Dog was decent, bun was on the stale side but definitely still edible. Mac and cheese looked so cheesy and AMAZING in the photos, real like was way less cheese. Some of the noodles didn't even feel covered. Southern chicken sandwich was yummy. Decent amount of sauce too. That was the best item out of the three I had tonight. Full disclosure: I did go at 8:30 about 30 minutes prior to closing so maybe that's why the food was the way it was. The employees were very pleasant to speak with. Food came up quick. Employee in the kitchen had no mask on at all and the other three employees only covered their mouth but let their noses out. If you are looking for something comparable to JibJab, I would not come here. This place is not the best of hot dogs shops mainly because of the quality of hot dogs. The chili has vegetables in it also. Some people like that, but I personally do not like peppers and onion in my chilli with cheese and a hot dog. So that part is preference. Waffle fries with chilli dogs is a neat twist but it didn't seem like the fries were that good either. And surprisingly it is not cheap. Usually, hotdogs, chilli cheese dogs and fries are cheap. I was between 3 and 4 stars but the fact that it's local and has a drive through bumped it up an extra point for me. The hot dogs and corn dog were good but the chicken sandwich was great. The prices are very reasonable; we got a TON of food for $20. Next time, I'll definitely stick with a chicken sandwich and the super-tasty waffle fries. Well known fact about me it that i love hotdogs. So this place had me at hello. After a couple of visits I began to notice they keep adding menu items and that is what keeps me coming back. The trio of chicken sandwiches are outstanding, my favorite is the Italian but the Southern and Texas are very tasty too! Parmesan potato bites are made in house and will knock you out. I am not able to compare this hot dog shop with any other in the area, like most other reviewers are doing, but to me everything was pretty tasty. The quality of hot dogs could be higher and more fresh, but the taste of the chili and the cheese is good. The buns are fresh and soft. The waffle fries are made fresh and the portion for the large was big. I do love how each hot dog is in it's own individual container. I also love that there is a drive thru! We're fans of jib jab hot dog shoppe so we wanted to give this place a try. We ordered many menu items for a picnic so we could taste a variety. Their cheese sauce is great but they don't put much on the hot dogs. It was like a light drizzle of cheese. My husband usually likes kraut dogs but he didn't care for their kraut, it was crunchy. I was excited to try the Parmesan potato puffs but they were a bit too rich for our taste. I loved the loaded fries, their cheese sauce and ranch is delicious. Their corn dog was fresh and very good. I've been going to this place a couple times a month and it's been good everytime except a few times the waffle fries were hard as if they had been overcooked or had been sitting under a heat lamp for too long. The last 2 times we went though the waffle fries were perfect so I'm hoping they fixed the problem. Overall I'd reccomend this place. Just wasn't very good at all, and jib jab is 100x better. The Chile wasn't very good and the cheese was like the cheese that you get on your nachos at a baseball game. My favorite thing was probably the individual packaging that each hotdog came in and the fries honestly weren't bad. read more
