I walk past this place every time I go to Home Depot and weight whether or not I will succumb and grab a hot dog on my way out. Temptation usually wins and I find myself wolfing one down in my car in the parking lot. I usually go for the big version and slather it with mustard and onions. I have to say for a cart in a parking lot, they are pretty darn good. Sometimes I spice it up with the Polish sausage but you can't beat the basic original. It really hits the hot dog spot. And the guy who runs it is always cheerful.

I've been coming here to eat hot dogs as a kid for over the past 15 years now. Anytime I crave a hot dog Hot Dog Depot is the spot I go to. Their jumbo turkey hot dog chip and drink combo is the best and always satisfies every time I have a craving. I literally drive across town to Home Depot just for the hot dog. Quick and easy and simple. No complaints whatsoever so ever. My girlfriend used to not like hotdogs and once I took her here her whole taste buds changed and now she is obsessed.

If you were one of those people who were outraged when Costco stopped selling polish dogs, fear no more. My Dad used to take us here as kids when we would moan and groan about having to go to Home Depot with him. I remember the dogs being so good. Well, today my husband and I had to stop by Home Depot and headed over to Glendale, my old stomping grounds. As we walked in past the stand I told him 'that place has the best hot dogs.' My husband didn't believe me but we had cash on us so I decided to prove him wrong. Ordered a polish dog for 5 bucks. It came with onion, tomato, jalapeño and choice of condiments. We added ketchup and mustard. I stand firm, the best polish dog around. Husband said he wants to try the pastrami next. So for your future Home Depot runs, come hungry.

I have moved away from Glendale and this makes me appreciate the Hot Dogs Depot even more. Now I have a breakfast burrito place in my local home depot that's probably one of the best in Orange County... but it's a long wait. While I like the food, I miss the simplicity of grabbing some 2x4s and picking up a hot dog and a bag of chips on the way out. Is the food quality truly a 5/5? Maybe not. Is the location a primo spot or have amazing seating situation? not really, there's some benches but I usually took it to go. But was this quick, reliable, an easy way to grab a bite while in the middle of a project? yes. This place knows what it is, and does it well and I miss the hot dog statue. read more

Best hot dog stand around. Hands down. These dogs are beefy, meaty, and the prices are great. Reminds me of the street dog vendors over in Manhattan! How good is it? Just put it this way: I go to this stand even when I don't have any reason to go to Home Depot! Love the jumbo dog! You can get it with onions, relish and your standard condiments. They serve polish dogs, too, which are equally as delicious. Chips and canned drinks are available as well. There are a few tables there to scarf your meal down, and it's under a shaded tent. Very good hot dogs at this covered cart outside the front entrance of Home Depot. Got chips, a soda and jumbo dog for $8, hit the spot. You could get a better basic dog at Costco for a bit less $. But this place is a good, convenient choice if you happen to be picking up supplies at HD. Friendly server, lots of parking. read more

Beast Hot Dog deal in town. Parking is ample because it shares the Home Depot parking lot. If you shop at Home Depot, stop here for a dollar on the way is the best deal in town. They have their own tent in the parking lot. Hotdogs are hot, chips and sodas bailable. Services quick friendly, and pleasant. Definitely the place to come if you're shopping at Home Depot and get a quick bite. Will recommended, we will return. read more

Located in the Home Depot parking lot. Owner is super nice & quick. Jumbo & Regular dogs are all beef. Delicious comes with all the fixings if you'd like. Raw Onion, jalapeño, relish, chopped tomato, ketchup, Mayo, mustard choice. Comes on a sesame seed bun. One of the best dogs I've had way better than Costcos that's for sure. Solid $5 worth it. But if you're really short on time, this probably isn't the place to go for you. Since we've biked here, I don't have any experience with street parking, but since it's in a residential area, it always looks full. So be aware of street parking! Dune has been on my "to try" list for a while. What a gem! The food was SO GOOD…read more We arrived around 7 on a Saturday night. The darling patio was pretty full but we had a very short wait. Out server Emily was a delight. So friendly and accommodating (and thanks again for the Baklava!) We had the lamb shwarma plate and the fried chicken plate, both with hummus. Also a side of the Za'atar/sumac fries. Fries came out first PIPING hot, crispy, seasoned perfectly nom nom. The entrees quickly followed. The lamb was so tender and juicy and bursting with flavor. The plates also came with hummus topped with whole chickpeas (YUM), dilled rice, a cabbage salad and other greens, grilled pita bread, olives and my personal favorite, pickled radishes. Could be because it was Sunday and there was a Farmers Market nearby, but still something to consider. We ordered the Lamb Plate ($26). Portion was solid and the plate is actually pretty interesting -- lots of different sides (flatbread, greens, olives, pickled turnips, etc.), so it doesn't feel boring. We sat outside on a small patio facing Glendale Blvd. It's a tight space, and at one point someone from the street was walking around nearby talking to themselves, which made the experience a bit less comfortable. Staff was friendly and service was quick though, no issues there. Also, no public restroom, so keep that in mind. Overall, not bad. I was hungry, so I finished everything pretty fast, but it didn't really stand out enough for me to make a special trip again.

They smoke their pastrami for 14 hours and the kettle chips adds a great crunchy texture to each bite! The lady here is so sweet and brings the food out to you when it's ready. Street parking was easy to find! However, the seating is very limited (only 2 small tables) so probably not great for a group gathering.

It was getting late, so while I waited for the kid in the car at their activity, I went on The Heights website found an order form and placed an order for some sammies all in 5 minutes. I didn't even ask the hubs or the vegetarian kid what they wanted. I went with what I thought they'd like. 15-minutes later, I was picking the sandwiches up at the walk-in only shop. There was no line and better yet, they were wrapped up and ready to go when I walked in. The smiling lady asked if I wanted napkins or utensils. They have case after case of cold drinks so we picked out a couple of drinks, paid for those and left. It was easy and fast. Enjoyed the yumminess at home. I normally would save a half for another meal but my "Pasadena" hit the spot that I finished it up all at once. Quality bread, meats, cheese, fillings aka all the ingredients...to boot! They were made to order and still fast service. The sandwiches were delicious. Generous portions, freshly sliced deli meats, and fresh lettuce and tomatoes. While I didn't get any, they have a cool selection of wines and beers. They have very helpful descriptions too.

My little one likes to come here with me and Cher a sandwich. She actually likes to get the mini Big Kahuna, but with no peppers and no jalapeños. My lil monster loves the combination of cheese, mushrooms, and onion. The girls who work here are all very sweet. They don't mind a little conversation with you. I love that everything is made to order. I love that when I order a Big Kahuna. I know that my meat will be freshly cooked on the grill/griddle. Every time I come to the restaurant, it is spotless. Even when there were a bunch of elementary school, aged boys having lunch there, quickly after they left, they threw away their trash, and just after that their table was cleaned and sanitized. I like that I feel safe in this environment. I like that they take responsibility for the dining area. Parking here can be kind of difficult. There are 215 minute waiting spots in front of quite possibly two of the most busy businesses in this little strip mall but hey, at least there's parking.

It's a narrow shop, and most customers take their orders to-go. I've previously enjoyed the La Paradiso and La Toscana, with the La Paradiso being my personal favorite. For our first visit with our son, we asked the staff for recommendations, and they suggested either the Venice Beach (Turkey) or the New Yorker (Roast Beef). The staff was incredibly generous, offering a roast beef sample, which our son loved! We also appreciated them providing ice and straws for our water. We ordered the New Yorker ($19.00) with roast beef, porcini cream, tomato, and arugula. The sandwich was thoughtfully cut in half, perfect for sharing. The schiacciata bread boasts a crispy exterior and a soft, chewy interior, which beautifully complements the meats and cheeses. We opted to substitute the porcini cream for mozzarella, which was sliced into perfect bite-sized pieces and tasted incredibly fresh. The roast beef was thinly sliced and tender, the tomatoes were fresh and sliced to perfection, and the arugula added a delightful peppery crunch. It's a well-balanced sandwich and one of the best in LA. We would definitely order it again. A big thank you to the female staff member who expertly cut the meat and offered samples, assisting us in making the perfect choice for my son's sandwich. This experience was truly a positive one for our family. I would definitely return to AAV for the excellent food and service. If there is one place in Los Angeles I would recommend for a hot dog fanatic like myself, it's Hot Dog Depot! Their hot dogs are top notch, combining just the right amount of crunch and flavor. Their cool ranch Doritos are a great accompaniment to the hot dogs, as they help cool down any spicy taste that the hot dog might have. To wash it all down, they have cactus cooler, which is the only thing cooler than being cool, it makes for a unique but refreshing option. Furthermore, Hot Dog Depot has a great atmosphere, as they are located near the zoo! This is great for a hot dog connoisseur like myself, because while I'm noshing away, I can people watched the other animals in the zoo. The best hot dogs in LA!! Not only is the service great, the food is even better!!! I was able to get a coke, chips and a regular hot dog for less than 6$!!!! The area is very clean with some chairs and tables. You can choose regular combos or jumbo combos that are all heaven sent. I eat these hot dogs at least once a week. You can put onions, tomatoes and jalapeños on it with a cold drink and chips. read more

The hot dog cart at I-10 and dysart Home Depot in Avondale AZ is one of the better tasting dogs I've ever had, they only offer 4 types of hot dogs, but, the 5-6 times I've gone there I've been more then satisfied every time. Id recommend to anyone read more
