The one in La Crescenta is worth the drive because it's that good. Their burgers are that classic , homestyle , thick patty which I love. Any of their burgers are a go-to for me. What I especially love is their fried mushrooms. No other place does it like them and for the price you pay , you get so much and worth the value. Service is always good. t was my first time visiting this restaurant, and unfortunately, it was a terrible experience. I ordered a carne asada burrito with no onions or cilantro from the "Mexican Favorites" section. When I received the burrito, it was completely cold. Upon taking a couple of bites, all I got were massive chunks of raw tomato. I opened the burrito to see what was inside, only to find that roughly 70% of it was filled with oversized tomato quarters, a handful of shredded lettuce, cheese, and barely any meat. It also had no beans or rice. When I brought it back to the counter and politely asked if it could be remade because it was essentially just tomatoes, the cashier was exceptionally rude. She defensively claimed, "That's how you ordered it. You asked for no onions and cilantro, so that's just the pico de gallo." However, nowhere on the menu does it state that the burritos come stuffed with lettuce, cheese, or pico de gallo--nor is a cold wrap filled with tomato chunks standard for a carne asada burrito. They did remake it, but the second attempt was a tiny, mediocre burrito that was still mostly lettuce and cheese with very little meat. Management needs to update the menu descriptions so customers know what they are actually ordering, or stop labeling a cold wrap as a Mexican burrito. A standard Mexican burrito comes w rice and beans. I did notice the menu online has the descriptions but for some reason the restaurant does not. Between the poor ingredient proportions, cold food, and defensive customer service, I won't be returning. read more

Don't let the name mislead, Everest Burger has a decent menu of Burgers, Salads, Mexican and American items. The restaurant looked clean, maintained and inviting, with a drive thru or decent amount of parking. Service was good and my order of a Mushroom Cheeseburger combo (with fries and a drink), Cesar Salad and Chicken Gyro arrived to me in a decent time. The food tasted good and fresh, and was of very good sized portions. Nothing was greasy. Prices were great- especially the salad! We picked up Everest Burgers in Glendale on a weeknight after a long hike, and it really hit the spot. We ordered taquitos, the fish tacos, onion rings, and zucchini fries. As an Altadena native I must admit some of this was a bit sentimental for me, especially the zucchini fries, and wow did it really hit the spot. The taquitos were a bit different than the Altadena location, but still pretty great nonetheless. The onion rings and fish tacos were a bit small but also awesome, would order pretty much all of this again! Usually I love this place. But a few nights ago i tried to call in my order and the man who answered immediately said, can you hold. I was on hold for 10 minutes and hung up. I drove up a few minutes later and saw said man sweeping. I stood at the area where poeple go to order and no one was in line or waiting..I stood there for five minutes and he finally cam back behind the register and said what can I get you. I looked at him and said ya know I called and you put me on hold and left me hanging there so long I had to hang up. He says sorry with no sincerity in his voice. I told him I wanted two beef tacos with no tomato but lettuce and add onions and also I pointed up to the menu add grated cheese please. I then also ordered my mom's turkey sandwich and a small shake. He said the shake ia only one size. I said oh I saw here on your menu that it says small medium and large. He said wow that is such an old menu. I handed it to him and said could you give me a new one please. He said no we dont have any. I said ok. And it cost a bit over $20. He made my shake and i paid and waited. Soon enough my bag of food came and I drove home... I get out my two tacos and they have no cheese and no cilantro. Made me so angry I felt the owner should know his worker sucks. I will be not coming here for a few months. I can get tacos a lot of places and they do not leave me waiting on hold forever. When we paid we asked for the senior discount. 5 minutes after ordering she comes over and tells me they only have one turkey burger left. So I say fine, givee the same thing I ordered but with a chicken breast. She says okay. Then comes back over and says I owe $1.86 more because the chicken breast is more. Everest was really good 10 years ago. I decided to come grab some dinner for my family on my way home because I was feeling nostalgic and now I'm wishing I didn't. First and foremost, they forgot to put my fried zucchini in my order. They are pretty expensive and that's wasted money now. The menu also states that with every small order of fries or zucchini you get one side of ranch. I ordered two small sides of fries and a small fried zucchini and only got one ranch. So if all of that is for multiple people, who gets the one ranch they gave me? The taco meat in the tacos tasted like cinnamon, I didn't know that that's how tacos were supposed to taste. They do load the shells with lots of lettuce and cheese, but that mystery meat was just not good. The burgers are very large and the portions are large too though. I had to pull the pastrami out of the pastrami burger because there was too much fat. My husband enjoyed the bean burrito and his friend enjoyed the cheese quesadilla. Also be very clear what you want if you order in the drive thru and I'm glad they repeated the order back to me because they thought I ordered a chicken quesadilla instead of a cheese quesadilla. I'm only familiar with Everest restaurant in altana, which burned in the Eaton Canyon fires. This restaurant here in LA Crescenta borderline Glendale gets 5 's, food was amazing, hot fresh and prepared quickly as soon as I ordered as well. Excellent customer service Andrew & the cook Erika. All associates here were friendly smiled. I was able to use a restroom without having to ask for a key so I could wash my hands and prepare for my mail. Place was an immaculate condition.
