A special thank you to hostess Gaya, who greeted us so warmly and made sure my birthday reservation and seating were perfect. Our waiter Alvi was fantastic - attentive, knowledgeable, and had great recommendations. If you love champagne and spritz cocktails, I highly recommend their Rosé Champagne and spritz selections -- perfectly crafted, beautifully presented, and delicious. The truffle pizza was fantastic, and every dish from the sea bass to the chicken was cooked exactly how we requested. A special shoutout to Ramon, who brought out many of our dishes with such fun energy and had a great personality that made the experience even more enjoyable. The restaurant itself has such an elegant, intimate, and relaxing atmosphere that made the celebration feel extra special. Ramon surprised me with a beautiful slice of their homemade Napoleon cake with a candle, along with complimentary pistachio ice cream that paired perfectly with their delicious pistachio coffee. It was such a thoughtful and memorable touch that completed the afternoon beautifully. Such a special ending to a wonderful birthday brunch. My entire party loved the experience and were impressed. We'll definitely be back for dinner!

I found out about this restaurant through one of my Yelp friends who didn't have the best…read moreexperience here. I was reading this page and saw mixed reviews, so I decided to try it with my son and make my own determination. They have no parking but thankfully we found a spot on the side street. The restaurant is located on the ground level of an apartment building. They also have outdoor seating, but we sat inside. One restroom each for men/women (and super clean). We walked in and got a pleasant greeting from Mia. She was HANDS DOWN the best part of this experience and provided stellar customer service. She is so young and has a bright future ahead of her. Mia treated us with genuine kindness and was a pleasure to talk to during our dinner. She made sure we were well taken care of and our orders were to our exact specifications. This restaurant is very lucky to have someone as good as her working there. For our appetizers, we got the Cesar Salad ($17), Parmesan on the side, and Bruschetta ($17). I also asked Mia if they bring complimentary bread to the table and she said they do, upon request. She asked if we wanted olive oil or butter and I chose butter. My son and I both enjoyed the Bruschetta and thought it tasted very good. The bread was nicely toasted and the tomatoes were seasoned well. It was also a good portion, easily shareable between 2-3 people. The salad wasn't our favorite and we've definitely had better at other restaurants. The lettuce didn't taste too fresh and the dressing wasn't really that good. The portion size was good, though. For my entrée, I got the Spicy Rigatoni ($22) but I asked for it to be light on the spice and added shrimp (+$12). It tasted fine, nothing really to write home about. I had to ask Mia to microwave it for a minute because it wasn't hot. My son ordered the Chicken Parmigiana ($23) but asked for the chicken to be grilled instead of breaded. He said he enjoyed his dish and the tomato sauce had a good amount of garlic in it. For dessert, Mia was kind enough to bring out a complimentary Key Lime Cheesecake since she found out my son is celebrating his birthday in a few days. She was seriously impeccable. Honestly, the place is just really drab and boring. There isn't much decor and it feels like a slightly elevated diner that serves beer and wine. It was a Friday night and there was no one in there/no pickup orders. We were there from about 7:30pm-10pm when they closed and only 3 other parties came in. There is no music playing, which makes the atmosphere even more drab and lifeless. Its also super cold in there and I asked Mia to adjust the AC and even after she did, it was still cold. It's not an upbeat type of place at all but the food is decent and Mia's service is the best part. She herself is 10/5 stars, but for my overall experience, I'll stick with 4 stars this time.

She explained that they were short-staffed and had two brand new servers last Sunday and that she was frantically trying to take care of the cooking and the serving as well as greeting newcomers. That explanation makes sense and had we known that, we might have chosen to forego the reservation that day or not been upset. I appreciate her taking the time to get back to us and being so candid and self-effacing. It seems it was a confluence of unfortunate factors that led to us having a sub-par experience at a respected restaurant.

The restaurant looked pretty upscale so I wasn't sure it was the best option for us. When we went inside, it was reassuring that we could see a lot of families. They also chose a table for us that was perfect for our party in an enclosed space, and we only had to wait about 10 minutes for a table. I guess because I went in with zero expectations, I was pleasantly surprised. The service overall was pleasant. They had a kids menu, which was also nice. The food was not overpriced and the truffle rigatoni with sausage that the waiter recommended was fantastic. That was actually what my husband ordered. I wish I had taken the waiter's rec! My seafood pasta was also pretty good and I cleared the plate. My 3 kids were happy and ordered pizza, chicken fingers, and Mac n cheese. Overall, I would come back here. My only complaint was the kids meal said it came with a scoop of ice cream that was never served. We decided it was okay since we were going to get dessert somewhere else anyway.

We didn't make a fuss since we were with kids and didn't want to wait for a replacement. The kids' pastas were brought out first, which we appreciated since they were hungry. However, the rest of our entrées--all pastas--took especially long to arrive. By the time our food came out, the kids had long finished eating and were getting fussy. Unfortunately, the pastas were also overcooked and definitely not al dente, despite the menu specifying that they would be. The flavors were decent, but nothing extraordinary. Overall, it's a decent place, but based on this experience, definitely not one of my top options in the area.

We were seated right away! There is plenty of parking and they offer indoor and outdoor seating. We were told about the specials of the day which was nice because we ended up getting one of them! We tried the melon prosciutto with mozzarella which is something I don't think I would've tried on a normal day but I wanted to try something new especially since I did see photos prior! & ugh, it was SO good! For my main dish I got the Fettuccini alla bolognese which was also SO good. The meat sauce was amazing. My bf tried the salmon with veggies which he enjoyed! The service was great. & i would definitely return!

Tutti perfecti!…read more Butternut squash ravioli was out of this world. Probably the best I've ever had, including in Italy. The sauce was so creamy and rich with the perfect hint of sage. I could have taken a quart of it home! The ravioli itself was perfectly cooked, generously stuffed with filling, and the taste of the butternut squash really came thru cleanly. The portion & the quality felt well worth the price, which is rare these days. An utter joy. Every bite was heaven. This will be a dish that I think about often. Mushroom risotto was delicious! Super soft mushrooms, great flavor, nicely cooked. I normally don't enjoy much rooms because they can get...squeaky. These were a generous amount, silky and smooth, and imparted a lot of great mushroom flavor to the rice. Another dish I'd order again anytime! We've also had both the lasagna and the gnocchi (w panna) and enjoyed them. The gnocchi in particular were so well made, just the perfect texture, pillow soft and a generous portion. You get a choice of sauces so I'd come back and try these with another sauce in the future just to see how that is. The panna was a lovely cream sauce with a light shallot flavor. I enjoyed it more and more as I ate and the sauce thickened. It was delivered pipping hot, so you have time to let the sauce set before digging in. Arugula & raddichio salad was SO fresh, delicious light dressing, excellent cheese. They kindly split this on two plates for us to share. Ever subsequent time we have ordered a salad they automatically do us this kindness. Very thoughtful. We have also tried the spinach and pear salad special of the day, which was delightfully tender spinach, tasty pears and an aged cheese in a wonderfully fresh dressing. I love their salad specials! We also had the special of the day appetizer which was buratta, prosciutto e melone. Delightful! The melon was crunchy & sweet, the prosciutto was great, and the buratta was so creamy. Service was excellent. Everyone who works here is very knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. They always have amazing specials, so be sure to ask about those. We have ended up ordering some of those every time we have been here. One of my favorite Italian places in all of LA. The quality is consistent, the menu is varied, the specials are actually special, and the covered outdoor patio area is great in all seasons. We will be back many times, I am sure.

Four of us arrived for dinner right as the doors opened on a Saturday night, and while the food is excellent, I really wish they were open for lunch and dinner. The experience is solid old-school Italian exactly as you would expect; the interior, from the booths and tables to the decor, hasn't changed in over 50 years. This place holds deep personal significance for me. My parents used to come here, and we visited often with my stepfather when he was alive. I have great family memories tied to this space. Our meal started traditionally with a bread basket served with cold butter. Because I was saving my appetite for a food charity event later that night, I stuck with the antipasto salad, while my mom and sisters enjoyed the chicken parmigiano, chicken piccata, and veal parmigiana. The food quality remains high, and the service was great. We enjoyed quick, polite service from a server who looked after us well. It is a wonderful spot for anyone looking for a nostalgic, quality meal in a setting that feels frozen in time.
