Arrived to, almost, empty place. My friend and I were seated. We were greeted by a young lady, who acted like, she didn't know us, but had serviced us a night or so previous. Backstage is always a vibe. I love it there on Wednesday they have the real good singers karaoke but if you can't sing your day is on Thursday. Food and drinks are always a hit and the staff is nice. Had a great time at Backstage Atlanta. At first, I was a little apprehensive because it's off Old National hwy. But I read a review that mentioned feeling safe and I felt completely safe and at ease. Plus there was plenty of security. Went on a Saturday and it got packed. Definitely caters to a more mature crowd which was what I was looking for. Good party vibes. I had reserved two tables which came with a bottle of champagne. The dj was great. Our server was professional and nice. Everyone was friendly in a warm, down-home sort of way. The food was descent but did take awhile to come. I assume because they were packed with a few big groups in the house. The drinks were strong and good. I had a hibiscus margarita. Delicious..and strong. Should've stopped there but was in celebratory mode so I also had a Bob Marley. Strong. I left there with fond memories. We went for Sunday brunch to celebrate a birthday. Although they were empty we were embraced a by a friendly security guard, an awesome waitress named I think Brianna and DJ Hood. Our party of six ordered a variety of food off the brunch offerings including chicken and waffles, fish and grits, hash, wings and sliders. I enjoyed the fish and grits although I thought it came with two fish not 1. The chicken and waffles were basic strips, waffles and fruit but the highlights were the sliders and the hash. The sliders were tasty and the hash was delicious. I appreciate the champagne for the birthday girl and the overall service of the staff. Next time I'll make sure to get a pitcher of mimosa to set my brunch off right! As for the DJ loved the mix of old school and new school music. It was also cool to see the music videos stirring up memories of high school and college. I'll be back for Karaoke and Crab Legs. read more

The Backstage is a fun neighborhood club that's cool. Not too hood and not too bougie. Everyone is having a good time, DJ is playing so many things 90s, 2000s to present. The food is good, very diverse menu. Only drawback is that the servers are very sweet but way busy. For bottle service or hookah, it can take a long time and same with getting served at the bar or the table. Parking lot is free, but fills up fast. Definitely a fun time. read more

Noticeable change of management nowadays everything is more pricey and expensive. Like everywhere else short of staff mostly reservation only spots unless you were over by the bar that was disappointing. The ambiance wasn't bad. This used to be one of my favorites where I would take my out-of-towners will definitely be looking for new spot. A staple in the neighborhood community all the best. read more

Second time coming here and just like the first time, it did not disappoint. Seriously I should have come here first but instead I went somewhere in downtown that lacked in service, food and music. Went to Backstage for brunch on Sunday and thought it was ok. On arrival, your bag is searched, and they do pat you down a bit, but the lady was very nice about it. I was not expecting it though. I ordered a Pellegrino and the server brough back Pino Noir. I then stated, its just sparkling water and she said they didn't have any. I then opted for a gingerbeer, she brought me ginger ale. I asked if they didnt have gingerbeer and she mentioned it had not arrived as yet and she would bring it to be on arrival. It never came. I ordered the seafood with grits. It was ok. The music in my opinion was a little loud. The mc did a nice job on keeping the crowd entertained and shouted out birthday greetings to all celebrating their birthday. However it had a very funny taste. The menu advertised fresh cut fries, yet they served frozen wrinkle fries. Atmosphere: Older crowd. My friend had a reserved section for her surprise party. They offer free parties. Unsure how that goes because I wasn't responsible for organizing. Free entry on Fridays before 9 PM. The music had us on the floor jamming. So, if you like to dance to R&B and hip hop you won't be disappointed. Ample free parking in the parking lot. I didn't shut down the club. Our original server who showed us to the table never came back so we had to flag down a server then we got consistent service from two different girls. How ever when I got this so called loaded baked potato this is what I got. I thought when they said loaded baked potato it would have everything on it. Boy was I wrong. How ever not to mention we got no service at our table until I had to get a menu on my table we sat for 30min with no service. I ended up ordering my unloaded potato at the bar and we also had to go to the bar for our drinks.
