This was a great spot to stop in at! We googled breakfast burritos around the area and found this place with lots of great reviews on the burritos and since that's what we were craving, we decided to give it a go. Always nerve wrecking to try a new place, but we were very happy with our experience. Kind service, great burrito, close to where we were and great space.

The employee said they make their chorizo in house so had to try it out! It was good, but could use a bit more flavor. The potatoes were bland, no flavor. They also give you salsa bottles when dining in. The green salsa was spicy and the red was mild and perfect for me, which was funny since it's normally opposite. We also got a Pineapple Empanada to share and it was delicious. I wish there were more baked goods but they only had the fruit empanadas and some cookies. The restaurant is clean and the prices were decent. I will come back again to try more dishes!

My wife found this place one morning looking for a new place to eat. She found a gem as the food here is delicious! I believe they make their own salsas and tortillas and chips fresh! I ordered a verde rojo burrito and she got their shredded beef quesadilla. Oh man they were HUGE but I was so hungry I ate it all! My wife left 1 piece of the quesadilla which is cool cuz I'll snack on it later . Anyway we'll be back again soon! So ono! read more

Best Authentic Mexican food in AZ I have had. The food was delicious and tasted fresh. The presentation was way better than some of the high dollar restaurants I've eaten at. I am a native Chandler resident and have been trying so hard to find good Mexican food restaurants locally. I would also like to note I am a menudo fanatic but unfortunately I was disappointed especially with so many high ratings for their menudo. 1st - Overpriced $15.50 for a bowl with a few hominy which with tax and card fee = $17.21 2nd - the meat (cow stomach/ tripe) was full of hair. Yes I know that there should be a few here and there but the amount I spent picking off was a bit excessive. 3rd - The bolillo tasted like pan dulce I couldn't even finish one of the halves. With this said you should instead try Parrilla Los Picos in Mesa, AZ - Alma School and University. And no I don't work for them or being paid to advertise them. They just honestly give you the biggest bang for your buck and they are not stingy with the amount. You also have an option to do unlimited menudo bowl for the same price as the 1/2 you get here. Que Rico Buñuelo! Yummy los Frijoles perfecto. When I go to a Mexican restaurant first thing is judging the rice and beans. This place is 5 stars. Next is salsas I tried their hot and mild. Definitely home made and fresh. Wish I lived closer I would be coming here often for lunch because they close at 2pm. I bet their chilaquiles are just as delicious. El Sol is a really good Mexican spot with gorgeous and traditional interior design. The burritos are ENORMOUS and the chicken quesadilla is one of the best I've had. I think it comes down to the tortillas they use, so good. I come here for lunch occasionally during work and I'm never disappointed. I'll keep coming back for sure! read more

Ambiance was good and customer service was great. And I'm so sorry but I have never seen a plate of chilaquiles that looks like this in my entire life haha. I'm sure they have other good food, I just wouldn't recommend going here if you are looking for authentic dishes. Also it was a tad pricey considering portions. I'd recommend it more for people who enjoy "Tex-Mex." Wasn't bad, just wasn't what I was expecting :) lady working cash register today was super nice too. I had the chilaquiles they were horrible! It's like the opened a can of Las Palma Sauce and put it on some staled chips garnished with queso fresco, cilantro, and red onions. And who makes chilaquiles and don't put an egg in it. When I seen no egg, I knew this dish was wrong, and they served it cold. No love or effort was put into this dish. Lived in Chandler over 25 years & have never had a chance to eat here. I just use to run in & out to purchase their homemade tortillas bi weekly, we've Driven by a few times on the weekends but it's always super busy(small parking lot) no where to park so we just moved on, we'll we made it our mission to finally eat here so we went early on a Friday, they were busy but had a few tables still available. Service & food did not disappoint!! I LOVE that POTATOES & beans are offered with their breakfast entrees I'm not a fan of Rice offered @ majority of mex places for breakfast. That all would have been great info to know when ordering initially. Definitely will be returning! Side note: If you're familiar with downtown Chandler, this won't come as a surprise, but since I'm not a Chandler-regular, I was a little surprised at the lack of parking aside from parallel parking just in front of the actual coffee shop. They have a good sized menu with both breakfast and lunch offerings, and it took a bit to decide on what we were eating. I decided on the Corned Beef Hash with two eggs over-medium and a pancake. I asked for it on a separate plate and she said no worries, that's how it is served. The hash was sooo good! Cooked to a crispy crust and so flavorful and not salty at all, which I loved because sometimes hash can be salty. It also came with hash browns, which were cooked perfectly and not greasy in the least. I asked for my eggs over-medium and they too were cooked to perfection. It came with one pancake (I chose this in place of toast) and it was good size cake, with a nice malty flavor. It's sprinkled lightly with powder sugar and a dispense of warm syrup was provided as well. Really good breakfast! Wife went with the 2 egg breakfast with bacon and sourdough toast. They serve a wonderful homemade blackberry jam with the toast, which was really good and jammy. She also had her eggs done the same way as me and they were cooked to perfection. The bacon was perfect and she commented about the hash browns being cooked to a crunchy outer and tender on the inside. No refills on water or check-in to see if we wanted additional drinks (which I feel like happened the last time we were in as well). There's a gentleman with a tiger tattoo on the back of his neck who stops in at some people's tables to check in and have chat, he's never stopped in with us.. it all just seems like the customer isn't a priority at this restaurant. The food is delicious, the drinks are great but for the prices, I want to feel more valued. I want to have that fun experience of going out for drinks in a vibrant high-end cantina where you feel connected with the staff. Have been coming here for years, mostly for takeout and bakery items. Went for lunch the other day and ate there for the first time in many years. Service was outstanding as always and the food was fantastic! Had the shredded chicken chimi platter and it was perfect. Also, as many of you already know, they make the best salsa in the state! Paired with their homemade chips, the salsa even outshines their burrito's. We get their salsa at the local Costco usually every week and it's truly the best. I recently visited El Sol Mexican Cafe in Chandler, and it left a positive impression. The Sausage Breakfast Taco was a winner--juicy sausage wrapped in a warm tortilla.
